World Ocean Day Celebration at Glebefields

Today, we proudly joined the celebration of World Ocean Day at Glebefields, embracing this year’s global action theme: “Strong Marine Protected Areas for Our Blue Planet.”

The day started with an exciting game of Ocean Bingo, and everyone was in a competitive spirit! Residents thoroughly enjoyed the challenge, with lots of laughter, friendly competition, and enthusiasm throughout the morning.

Later, our residents took part in a variety of ocean-themed activities, including an ocean puzzle challenge, an engaging quiz session to learn more about our oceans and sea life, and a relaxing seashell colouring activity. A special mention goes to Barry, who thoroughly enjoyed seashell colouring alongside Rhona and our Activities Lead, Zoe. It was wonderful to see residents expressing their creativity while sharing stories and enjoying each other’s company. Thank you to everyone who joined in and made the day such a success!
