Our Pitlochry residents thoroughly enjoyed their latest visit from the children of Logierait Nursery, a heartwarming tradition that continues to bring joy to the home.
Activities Coordinator, Meredith, shared: “Logierait Nursery visit the care home every other week to take part in intergenerational activities. These sessions include board games, singing, and storytelling. Today’s theme was ‘farm to food’, which ties in with what the children are currently learning. The children and residents chatted about fruit – where it comes from and how it grows – before colouring in pictures of fruit baskets.”
She added: “We also enjoyed a story about two squirrels racing to collect food, learning that working together makes things much easier. The residents had a wonderful time and really connected with the children. Logierait also brought along snacks of crumpets and fruit for everyone, and there certainly weren’t any leftovers!”
