As part of the celebrations for Global Beatles Day residents at Chester Court care home in Bedlington enjoyed a memorable day out to a Beatles Celebration Party hosted at Age UK Ashington, where they were treated to an afternoon of live music, delicious food and fond memories of one of Britain's most beloved bands.

The special event featured live entertainment from a talented Beatles tribute act, who performed a selection of the band's greatest hits. Residents sang along to familiar songs, tapped their feet to the music and embraced the lively atmosphere as they relived the soundtrack of their younger years.

The event sparked many conversations as residents shared their favourite Beatles memories, reminiscing about the band's influence on popular culture and recalling personal stories connected to the music of the 1960s.

The trip was a fantastic experience for everyone involved, offering residents the chance to enjoy live entertainment in the local community while creating new memories together.

General Manager, Laura Tindle said: "Our residents had a wonderful time at the Beatles Celebration Party. Music has a unique way of bringing people together, and it was lovely to see everyone singing, smiling and sharing their memories throughout the afternoon."

Rock group, The Beatles - John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr - was formed in 1960, the band initially got together in 1957 but went through a few name changes before settling on The Beatles. Pop history was made on 25 June 1967 when the band performed All You Need Is Love to 400 million people via the first global live TV link which is why Global Beatles Day takes place on this date.
