Premium Care Group Celebrates Award Win at the Child of Sussex Awards

Premium Care Group is delighted to celebrate the remarkable achievement of Daisy, who has been named the winner of the Community Award at the Child of Sussex Awards 2026. Daisy was recognised for her exceptional commitment to enriching the lives of residents across the group's 10 care homes through her inspiring Through the Eyes of a Child initiative, which brings children and older people together to build meaningful friendships.

The awards ceremony took place on Friday, 27 June, at Knockhatch Adventure Park in East Sussex, where Daisy received her award from More Radio DJs Tom and Jack.

Daisy was recognised for her outstanding commitment to the care community, bringing warmth, joy and companionship to residents across all 10 Premium Care Group homes through activities, storytelling and regular visits. Her compassion and dedication have made a lasting impact on residents, their families and colleagues alike.

She was also honoured for creating the inspiring Through the Eyes of a Child initiative. Demonstrating leadership well beyond her years, Daisy developed the programme to encourage children and young people to volunteer in care homes, fostering meaningful intergenerational relationships while challenging perceptions of ageing.

Since its launch, the initiative has been embraced across all 10 Premium Care Group homes. Children have formed genuine friendships with residents, with every visit becoming a highlight for both generations. The programme has created lasting memories, reduced social isolation, strengthened community connections and inspired more young people to become volunteers.
