View Full Details of Belle VueI've had mixed experiences with this care home. The first time my mom stayed there, things went well. But the second time, I had serious concerns. My mom has dementia and sometimes forgets how to walk. During one visit, I saw a staff member pulling her roughly instead of guiding her gently. When I asked them to slow down, they completely ignored me. I had to help my mom myself. I consider this a safeguarding issue. When I picked her up, I noticed she wasn't wearing her hearing aid. Staff told me, "She doesn't want to wear it," which I don't believe is acceptable for someone with dementia with communication difficulties. More recently when I applied for another respite ,the manager called me with a negative attitude, focusing only on my mom's mobility issues. Instead of discussing how they could support her, the conversation felt dismissive and unhelpful. Please think carefully before choosing this home for your loved ones.
My mother has been resident here for four years the care she has received during her gradual decline with dementia has been outstanding. The care my mother has received and the support and her family have received has been outstanding and the warmth and diligence of the staff are excellent. My mum is well cared for and most importantly happy. It is always a tough recognition that a parent needs full-time residential care but Belle Vue has lived up to every expectation. I cannot thank them or praise them enough.
