Heyberry House has a warm, welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. My husband enjoyed his respite there, allowing myself, as his main carer, to know he was in a safe environment and being well looked after. His stay there allowed me to recharge my batteries to enable me to continue caring for him at home
after his respite.
All the staff are very professional and caring.

My mum came to Heyberry House in January 2023, following a long stay in hospital due to a fractured hip and sepsis. She was only six stone and could hardly stand up, even with a walker.
The staff at Heyberry have taken exceptional care of my mum in the last three and a half years. She regained her
weight over the next 12 months thanks to the delicious food and was encouraged to socialise in the lounge and to enjoy the lovely garden.
There has been continuity in my mum's care as the staff do not change very much - they know my mum and she knows them, which is very important. They have been respectful, kind and patient with my mum, even when she is expressing her (sometimes very strong) opinions.
Her 90th birthday was very special as we had family in the conservatory and the chefs at Heyberry made my mum a cake, to be shared with everyone living and working there. Since then her mobility has seriously reduced, but my mum continues to receive the highest quality of care. Thank you all

My mum has lived at Heyberrt for over 10 years now. I have got to know the staff very well. I have seen them go above and beyond in recent times, and they are extremely hard working anf considerate.
My brothers and I are glad we chose Heyberry, it was the best decision for our mum.
I have also
seen lots of changes in management, but hopefully, Sarah is here to stay.

We were very fortunate to have found Heyberry house for mum.She had numerous falls and a few hospital stays, and she came to the home in September. Sam and her team have been nothing but amazing at making her feel at home and reassuring her.Mum has settled in really well and all the carers are
fantastic with her .She enjoys the food too-especially the puddings They also keep them busy with various activities -and she has become quite a champ at dominoes. Knowing mum is safe and happy in such a great environment is a huge relief. Thanks to Sam & all x

Having my husband in respite at Heyberry House over a number of times since 2022, I find everything there is excellent. All staff, from the manager, carers, kitchen and cleaners, to be very helpful in all ways. Would certainly recommend your home to anyone who is looking for permanent/respite
accommodation.

My mum is 98 and went into Heyberry house for her 1st Respite care in june 2025. we were very worried that she would hate being in a care environment and even put plans in place for her to go home if she wanted to. We had no need to worry as she loved her time there and extended her respite from 2
to 4 weeks following which, she became a permanent resident. The room she had was lovely, the food was freshly prepared and nutritious and the love and care she received was second to none. The staff deserve a special mention as they really do care about the residents and go out of their way to make every day special. Unfortunately mums care needs changed and she has had to go into nursing care which Heyberry house couldn't accommodate. Mum still talks very fondly of her stay there and the lovely people she met. we can't thank you enough.

My dad had to be urgently placed at Heyberry in June, following closure of the previous home he was residing at.
The staff had to settle in a number of patients at the same time and they did this with kindness and compassionate throughout. They not only helped dad settle in but we're a huge source
of support for both myself and my sister, having only recently moved him from his family home in April we were both extremely anxious and the staff made us feel cared for and listened to.
The team at Heyberry work extremely hard to make it a home for all the residents and their families.
Being a nurse with over 20 years experience of caring for people I can say that the team at Heyberry, from the kitchen to staff to the management team have always been friendly and approachable and always willing to do the best they can to accommodate dads needs. There has been ongoing work at heyberry and again the team have limited the disruption to the residents. Keep doing what you're doing team xx

Heyberry House provided short respite care for our Mum whilst she was waiting her permanent move into Upton Grange. This was our first experience of residential care and we could not have asked for anything better. Mum was instantly treated as 'one of the family' with every member of the team
helping her to settle through, what was for her, a very unsettling time. This was also true for us, the family members. The care, attention to every detail, the food and the location were all first class

I am pleased with the care that my mum has received at Heyberry House. She has settled well, seems content and has made friends. The staff are friendly and attentive. The home always seems to have a pleasant atmosphere when I visit. Her room and the communal areas are always kept clean.

In my working life, I on occasion was in most of the care homes in the area and I would like to say that Heyberry House is the most outstanding. The staff, every one of them, did everything possible to make Dad's time there as comfortable and pleasant as possible. They also made the relatives feel
at home. Thank you all!

The manager and his staff, cared for my Father from April this year, up to the present. During his stay, he was happy and his needs were always met with courtesy and professionalism from his dedicated team. His room was always spotless and his clothes were always quickly laundered and returned. The
surroundings in Heyberry were always bright and airy and the whole building gave off a good sense of wellbeing.

My lovely mother-in-law spent her final eight years here and it was one of the happiest times of her life. The staff are so attentive and caring, the food is remarkable (thanks to all the wonderful staff), lots of fun things to do and in a lovely, safe, clean environment. I saw her every day in the
final months and saw the staff close up. This is a wonderful place, I cannot thank you all enough for the care, attention and, dare I say, love you show to all the lovely residents. Miss you all. Fabulous place. Thank you again.

Heyberry House is a wonderful place. It was a true home to our Mum, where she spent a very happy year, she sadly passed away in March (in hospital).
When she decided to move into care, her mobility and general well-being were quite poor, but quite quickly her confidence and health were restored.
She enjoyed her meals which were carefully prepared to meet her needs by Heyberry's lovely cook. She regained much independence thanks to the support and good humour of all the staff.
For us as a family, we appreciated being welcomed in when we visited Mum in 'her home'. It was useful to use the conservatory when several of us visited and we enjoyed celebrating her 96th birthday in the lounge!
When she became poorly, we were contacted quickly and supported. When we returned to Heyberry after she died, the staff were so lovely, helpful and sensitive.
I would recommend Heyberry wholeheartedly.

My mother moved into Heyberry House four months ago and I now feel able to comment on her care. Firstly, I would like to thank the staff for how well they are looking after her. Staff are welcoming, caring and responsive. They all work incredibly hard, sometimes under extremely challenging
circumstances. I really appreciate the lengths they go to, especially with the demands that are sometimes made.
When mum has felt unwell they have responded quickly, ensuring she has been thoroughly checked over by themselves and clinical staff too. From my observation the staff really do care for their residents, not only that, they also care about them too. My sincere thanks to one and all.

My mum was in Heyberry House for approximately 3 years, the 1st 2 years were really good, she was able to do a lot for herself, also make her own bed etc. In March last year she had a few falls and was hospitalised, unfortunately when she came out of hospital she was bedbound. Heyberry carers tried
to get her out of bed once or twice but said my mum would kick, scream and grab when she was put into a hoist. My mum had had a stroke many years before which took her voice away and she was very weak on one side, I asked to watch her being moved, there was no kicking and screaming at all. The next thing was they got a doctor involved to say she was uncontrollable so he put her on Diazapan which made her in a zombie-like state. The next thing was getting her on sloppy foods and thick easy in her drinks, also she should have been assisted which she wasn't which led her from being a 12 st lady to 7st 10 We have moved my mum now to another home which she is thriving off all meds and is back eating solid foods.

From the moment I spoke to the staff manager at Heyberry House everything was good. From the assessment at hospital to a trial stay and permanent stay.
The staff and the environment have helped to turn my uncle's life around. His wellbeing has soared and he is cared for by a great team of staff. I
would (and have) recommended Heyberry House.
The staff are caring and supportive, professional, and kind.
My family and I will be forever grateful for this.
It has affected all of us in such a positive way; knowing that my uncle is safe and cared for and respected.
Sending all the staff and their families best wishes for health and happiness. Thank you.
