Would highly recommend St Benedicts Nursing Home in Glastonbury to everybody. My dad Robbie was only with them from October to when he sadly passed away in December as it was end of life care. From the moment my dad arrived the kindness, compassion and care from all the nurses, carers and management
was truly outstanding. They truly go above and beyond to not only provide the most top level of care for there residents but also have so much care and support for family members too. They treat all the residents like there own family members. Have the upmost level of care and a true place for residents to call there home. All the staff deserve the upmost praise and admiration in everything they do here at st benedicts and you will always have a special place in all our hearts and never be forgotten for everything you done.

My friends, a married couple had a double room here at the end of their life.
Firstly, the help and information provided by the manager when I first enquired about the placement was so helpful, she went above and beyond. My husband and I had a lovely meeting with her and nothing was too much
trouble. Especially as I didn't know the ropes.
My friends were really happy there, settled in quickly, no pressure to do more than they wanted to. We could visit anytime, the nurses and care staff were excellent and kept me informed regularly. They were all so respectful of my friends wishes in everything, especially their medical care.
I couldn't of wished for them to be in a better place, I was so pleased that they had such wonderful care at the end, I have nothing but praise and respect for the staff here. It was a pleasure to get to know them and we really appreciate all their hard work.

I will be forever grateful for the care given to my late father Anthony, known as Tony. He loved his time there and he got to know all the staff and felt really at home. They were all so lovely to him and treated him with great dignity, kindness and respect. My Dad loved making a joke and enjoyed
telling the staff all about his life and what he'd got up to in his past and had a real connection to some of them. Myself and my family felt very welcomed when visiting and couldn't fault his room, we were allowed to make it feel very homely with his personal belongings. It is with great sadness that I recently lost my Dad as he was loved so very much but we'll always remember St Benedict's with fondness and appreciation for how well my Dad was looked after. I would recommend this care home for anyone looking for their relatives.

Mum spent her final 2 1/2 very happy years being looked after by the caring and dedicated staff. Whenever we visited we were warmly welcomed with tea or coffee, in fact we felt like one of the family. There were always plenty of activities plus singalongs, magicians and mums favourite the owl
obsession. We would have no hesitation in recommending St Benedicts Nursing Home Ltd.

My brother was in the nursing home for just over six months, and during that time was given every care, attention, and utmost support and not only to him, but to us who visited throughout his stay. I would highly recommend this nursing home to anyone.

My daughter of 57 years has early-onset Alzheimer's disease and so being cared for with great kindness and consideration by all members of staff at St Benedict's.
This was also true in the care of her sister some years ago and I cannot speak too highly of the care for which I am extremely grateful.

Since my husband came to St Benedict's, although it's a long way for me to come, I could not be happier with the treatment he has received. The manager and staff are very helpful and considerate, obviously, my husband is borderline dementia and would rather be at home, he appears, on the whole,
settled.

Generally when visiting my brother we are warmly welcomed. I feel that my brother is being well cared for. The staff are attentive and will answer any questions or concerns with upmost honesty. My brothers room is always clean and tidy, as he is as well. Personally I would have no qualms in
referring anyone to St Benedicts Nursing Home Ltd.

The care home staff from all areas are excellent and very compassionate and willing to tailor support for my mum who was admitted back in September 2024 with complex needs.
Nothing is too much trouble for them and they really try to make every resident feel welcome and engaged in very trying
circumstances. The facilities are clean and well-maintained and the standards of care are what you would expect for a loved one. I would thoroughly recommend St Benedicts Nursing Home to anyone who is considering placing someone there.

My mum was at St Benedicts (The Deanery). Over the last few days of her life the love, support and compassion both Mum and I received was outstanding, especially from two particular members of the care team. When I was sitting with Mum the staff came in to comfort me and to check that Mum was
comfortable. She had clean bedding and clean clothes every day and they even painted her nails. I would like to think that Mum was aware that she was having a manicure (she would have loved it!) and I can't thank them enough for this kindness. I was with Mum when she passed away peacefully and was comforted by Mum's special carer. No words can adequately say how wonderful the staff were at this sad time.
I hope and trust that the management and owner realise how lucky they are to have such a special, dedicated and wonderfully caring team who enabled Mum to enjoy the last 3 years of her life and for me to know that she was being so well looked after. I will always be in their debt.

Human Angels. In September 2023 my father was admitted to St Benedict's Nursing Home in Glastonbury after spending most of the summer at the Royal United Hospital in Bath. He left hospital with a very complicated diagnosis of 'acquired haemophilia', which is an incredibly rare and terminal
condition. Coupled with diabetes and dementia the challenge was going to be great. The care and attention at St Ben's was exceptional and we not only thank them for the care of my father, but also for the care and compassion we all received. My father passed away peacefully on, 17th November, 2023. It would be unjust to single out any individuals, as clearly the overarching culture at the home is outstanding. As a family, we cannot thank all of the staff enough for their care and support and we believe, they are 'human angels'. We look forward to returning for the anniversary celebrations, to drink with the 'angels', to our beloved Dad and husband.

Having to make a decision as to where to place a loved one when they are at their most vulnerable is one of the most traumatic and hardest I have ever had to make but I needn't have worried. From the very first time I visited St Benedicts, I knew Mum would be safe and well cared for. The whole team
at St Benedicts showed immense professionalism and the highest standard of care to not only Mum but the family as well. All the staff were amazing with Mum and they all saw past her illness and treated her with respect and dignity. Everything that could be done for Mum was done and nothing was ever too much. We were always greeted with a smile and made to feel like part of St Benedicts family. Communication between us and the staff was brilliant. We will never be able to thank everyone enough for the care they showed Mum in the last weeks of her life. We had peace of mind knowing that when we left her after visiting she was safe, happy and well looked after.

My Mum has been in this home for a few years now. We had a few little teething problems but management went all out to help with our problems it was just settling Mum into her new environment. But I would recommend St Benedict's Nursing Home to anyone, the staff has been brilliant with Mum and
always kept us updated on any health problems. Thanks so much to you all.

Right from the truly excellent kitchen staff, who produce such wonderful food 365 days of the year including Christmas Day, through to the fantastic cleaning, laundry and maintenance staff, for all of this I am truly gratified. But, to all the health care staff that care for my wife every day and
night with such love and attention to detail, pristine bed sheets and pillowcases and all the loving care that we all would wish for ourselves, I am so truly thankful to all these Angels that treat my wife with such love and respect. I must add my deepest thanks to all the nursing and management staff, the kingpins that function to make everything run so smoothly for us to enjoy every single day.

My grandad spent a number of months last year in the Vicarage Unit at St. Benedicts Nursing Home. When I visited the staff were very friendly (Grandad knew them all by name including the non-care staff) and offered me tea or coffee on arrival. Grandad’s room was clean, as were the lounge and dining
areas. The home always smelled fresh! The food looked really great with a large variety of meals, sometimes themed. This was an important part of Grandad’s day. Whenever our family needed an update on Grandad the nurses were easy to talk to and were always honest and professional. I would recommend St. Benedicts all round but particularly for their end-of-life care and clear attention to dignity. We thank all of the staff so much!

My father moved here just over three months ago from a care home in Manchester so that I could visit him more frequently. The transition went well. Dad is very happy here and I have found all the staff very welcoming and friendly. The nursing staff are very professional and I feel he is being
closely monitored in all aspects of his health and care. The activities staff also are very good at giving him attention and the carers are diligent, caring and considerate. I can tell that all the staff are happy in their work.

My brother is really looked after and staff and management are very friendly. I could not look after my brother at home any more, now I feel like a sister more than a carer. He likes staying in his room and watching TV. The lounge is very nice and there’s a lot going on there.
