My Dad moved to Balmoral from hospital to receive palliative care. I cannot thank the staff enough for the kindness and care shown to my Dad in his final days. Everyone we came into contact with were friendly and compassionate.

My husband moved to Balmoral after a hospital stay for a 4 week assessment. We had never been to see the care home and I was very anxious and worried about my husband moving into an unknown care home. We were immediately impressed by the warm welcome and how friendly and caring all the staff are.
The activity team work hard to ensure the residents who are able to engage in activities are kept busy. My husbands medical condition means that he is rapidly deteriorating and the nursing and care staff have made sure he has everything he needs and respond quickly to his changing requirements. I feel lucky that we were sent here for my husbands assessment and that there was a room available for him to make this his permanent home.

As a family we are delighted with the care Mum receives at Balmoral. The staff are always friendly and helpful and there are plenty of people available to speak to if you want to discuss anything.
The activities programme is excellent, a lot of Mum's friends in other care homes are quite envious of
her. Compared to how Mum was when she arrived here (very confused and antisocial) she is 1000% better, enjoying her surroundings and engaging with people and activities. I would highly recommend Balmoral.

All the residents are really well cared for and checked upon. There is plenty of food and drink for all. All the staff are friendly and very helpful

Very nice, bright reception area.
Tastefully decorated. Very helpful manager and admin staff.
Always evidence of the staff cleaning, and ongoing refurbs and decorating.
Staff on my wifes 'section' very helpful, and caring.
Good activities "going on" for the residents.

Mum is happy living in Balmoral. Staff are always friendly and caring. Mum is always clean & well presented. The lounge & bedrooms are clean & the entertainment keeps the residents occupied & moving around.

Very satisfied with the whole package offered at Balmoral. The care that is provided goes above and beyond.
They care for my relative just as we would, with care, love, and dignity.
I would definetly recomend Balmoral Care Home.

My dad was in this care home, following discharge from hosp, prior to being assessed by CHC.
I have to say i found the nurses, care staff & admin staff extremley friendly, proffessional & caring to my dad & myself. Nothing was to much trouble they even popped in & had a chat with him
occassionally. Thankyou for looking after him & making an old man happy x

Mu husband moved in March 2025. He is so settled. The caring staff are excellent and the management are too. Nothing is too much trouble. It has a lovely atmosphere and I feel happy that he is in a caring, clean and positive environment.

The care provided but the staff is brilliant. Very professional and caring. I love the activities arranged by the coordinators. The admin staff are so efficient and friendly. The home is clean, welcoming and safe for the residents and visitors.

My mum has needed to be admitted several times over the last few months for emergency respite.
Mum has always been welcomed back with open arms and the staff team has gone above and beyond to care for her.
Mum decided she wanted soup for breakfast which was actioned immediately and Mum loved it.
The care staff are amazing and include my mum in all the activities the home has to offer.
First and foremost, my mum is in a safe environment and she is very well looked after and it is the only place she would return to if there is another emergency.
A big thank you to everyone, you are all fabulous.

Very friendly helpful staff. My nan is always clean and tidy regardless of the times we visit. She seems very well looked after and staff always come as soon as they can if there are any issues or concerns that we may have.

I cannot recommend enough the carers and people who run activities at Balmoral Care Home, the nursing staff, activities, managers and admin staff.
Mum had a wonderful ten months of her life filled with laughter and love. Nothing seemed to be any trouble for them. Not only Mum but myself and other
visitors were treated as family at the home.
It took the worry and work out of caring for Mum so I could have fun and entertain my mum - worth the money.
My only complaint is the lack of response from admin regarding finance by email.

The staff are very friendly, caring and professional; they treat all residents with dignity. There are always indoor activities as well as excursions, such as taking residents to the coast, including a fish and chip lunch. Our aunty didn't want to go into a care facility, but she loves it. This care
home facility comes highly recommended.

During my mother's short time in your care, I have all the staff friendly, courteous and very professional. I have been kept very well informed as to her condition and can only give all my thanks to all involved for making Mum's final weeks at comfortable and pleasant as possible. I would not
hesitate to recommend Balmoral Care Home in the future.

My mum likes it at Balmoral Care Home but we feel the food choices are very limited. The staff are always friendly and makes Mum feel better with banter and lighthearted humour. My issues are my mum's teeth have not been brushed every day and also the lack of dentist visits. I get phone calls about
any issues regarding Mum's welfare which is excellent. The home is very clean and doesn't smell at all. Mum's room is small and in need of decorating to make it homely. Lunchtime food choice is soup and sandwiches, 6 days a week is boring and repetitive.

Good care for our mum. The room is okay, don't agree that we have to pay the top-up fee. Mum has paid into the system all her life and is still paying. Balmoral is a nice care home. Mum was in a previous care home (which should be closed down). We have peace of mind now she is here, Activity staff
are great and super friendly.

Both my parents spent their last months at Balmoral Care Home. I can't praise the staff enough for the care, love and compassion shown to them. As a family, they made us feel part of their family and couldn't do enough to help us through very difficult times. Nothing was too much trouble We feel
so lucky that both mom and dad were looked after so lovingly in the last months of their lives. Balmoral you should be so proud of your staff they are the best
