My relative receives excellent care and had commented on how it is a much better experience than she expected. She gets very good care and attention and is well fed . Overall as good as can be expected in a difficult environment.

I had an excellent experience while attending my husbands review. Everything I wanted to know was responded to fully and clearly. I explained that I had only good things to say about every member of staff that I had dealings with and I felt that my husband was receiving the very best of care and was
settling in v well.

This review is due to the impeccable care and service that my Mum has received during her final stages of life in Dunoon,
Literally this is second to none, the Care Home is exceptional, from the cleaners, to help, to carers and to the nurses you are the best in what you do and I can only thank you
for your care attention that you gave to my Mum,
I would like to make a donation to your home so you can maintain what you are doing, your staff smile all the time and are always there,

I would like to express how thankful I am that mum was cared for at Ashgrove Care Home. The staff throughout the care home are exceptional. Always very caring and friendly, willing to help to meet any of mums needs. They became like a family to mum and cared for her deeply. Mum sadly passed away
last week but the weeks leading up to this couldn't have been made any easier. The manager Jacqui and the whole team made every effort to keep us informed of what was happening with mum. They gave us somewhere to sleep during the nights and really took care of us too right through to the very end. If you are looking for somewhere for your relative then I would highly recommend Ashgrove Care Home. They do not seem to have a high turnover of staff like others and they go above and beyond in what must be a very challenging job. Thank you so much!

My nan was cared for here for just over a year, and I will always be incredibly grateful for the kindness, compassion, and dignity the staff showed her every single day. Knowing she was surrounded by people who genuinely cared brought our whole family so much comfort.
In the final week of her life,
the team went above and beyond to support not just her, but all of us. They welcomed our family so warmly and did everything they could to make sure we could spend those precious last moments together with her. Their understanding, patience, and compassion during such a heartbreaking time meant more to us than words can truly express.
We cannot fault this care home at all. The love and respect they showed my nan right up until her passing will never be forgotten. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every member of the team for the incredible care you gave her.

Wife has now been in Ashgrove for Nine months and is well looked after by the caring staff, there is a very good menu for the residents but unfortunately my wife has dementia so doesn't remember what she has eaten

On my last visit with my brother he had really bad razor burns on both sides of his neck. This is due to the use of a disposable razor. I have purchased two electric razors can you explain why his is being shaved with a disposable one.

I'm happy with the care my husband receives. The staff is very friendly and caring. My husband is settled and comfortable. A special mention of the activity coordinators , those girls go the extra mile for the residents and their familie.

So glad the water problems will be sorted in the next two weeks. Also happy the food is going to be reviewed. All staff are 100% they couldn't do any better.

Overall I'm happy with care but very unhappy with seeing a male carer being on his own when providing my mum's personal care, changing her incontinence pad etc. he was very pleasant and there is no issue there but would prefer 2 members of staff present for this. Also, my mum's shower room cupboard
is full of men's shaving foam (no idea why). I feel the food could be a lot better too.

Always greeted with a warm welcome. Always plenty of staff to offer help if needed. Relative always appears well cared for.

I have visited my friend on several occasions since her admittance to Ashgrove. Staff have been friendly, approachable and helpful when asked. My friend has sometimes asked for tea to be brought for us which has always happened. Staff have checked on her when I've been present and have been smiling
and friendly to her. The bedroom looks tidy and she has some of her own furniture and possessions, pictures etc.

Visiting a resident in Ashgrove, staff and management are always friendly and welcoming. The resident is always comfortable in the bedroom, clean and tidy. Well cared for. Plenty going on to keep the residents active.

The staff are all very kind. Difficult sometimes for agency staff. My diet is limited, the chef is very thoughtful providing meals I am able to eat. Medication sometimes runs out. Management is very helpful, do not have local family.

I find that all the staff are dedicated, thoughtful, compassionate and engage very well with my wife. I find the staff very friendly and more than eager to please. A great environment for my wife to reside. Thanks.

I visit my gran as often as I can, usually every day. My two-year-old son always joins. Not only does my gran love our visits, but I feel all residents and staff do. Everyone is always so welcoming and kind. My gran is thriving in Ashgrove. I am so happy with her progress from the first day to now.

Happy with care provided. Mum is happy, clean and well fed. Any illnesses are taken care right away. The home has entertainment on to keep residents stimulated.

My husband was recently in Ashgrove for an interim placement while waiting on his care package. He very much enjoyed his time there. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. His whole experience in there was very positive, thank you to all the staff.

My aunt moved into Ashgrove a few weeks ago and has been treated with the utmost dignity and respect. Although she has only been here a few weeks staff know her needs and likes/dislikes so well it feels as though she has been here longer. My aunt herself says she is happy here and very fond of her
nurses/carers. On visiting my aunt is always spotlessly clean, nails clean and painted and one time even sitting with her rollers in. There is a great selection of food and staff quickly identified that she would benefit from adapted cutlery. There are always activities on when we visit and forthcoming events are well displayed. The clinical treatment my aunt has received has been excellent. Staff have been quick to identify when things aren't quite right with her and have responded effectively. Communication is also excellent. Staff are fantastic, always cheery. Nothing is ever a bother. We cannot thank you enough.
