View Full Details of Abberdale HouseI can only praise the care our uncle get by the excellent staff, and we are made welcome. we love coming to see him because they are so friendly and whats more important is my uncle feels comfortable and loved
My brother has been here for nearly 5 years. He has needs that are more mental than physical. I find that the home is reactive to his needs when they are brought to the forefront. He feels comfortable in talking to certain staff that make themselves approachable to him. I would like his room to be cleaned more often as it doesn't smell the best but apart from that I have no issue with his care.
My mum has only been a resident for three weeks and really pleased with her care so far having been admitted for assessment with social services and will become a permanent resident in the care home shortly.
My mother has episodes of anger but she is always treated with kindness and respect. The staff engage with my parents and make them feel welcome. The home is always clean with a fresh feel to it.
My husband and I have only just started to visit this home and we have to say in all aspects, it is an excellent home. Nothing is too much trouble, it is clean, it smells fresh, the food is excellent and there is plenty of it. Social activities are available to all, the staff are wonderful and work well with the resident. They are very friendly, nothing is too much trouble.
Staff are okay. The residents need watching in rooms. No cameras, should have one in home. I visit mum often, home could be a bit cleaner. Gardens nice should take residents out for day!
I feel that my friend is being looked after and cared for very well and she has made a good improvement in the last two months. The staff are great and try to help in all areas. It is a pleasure to visit.
