View Full Details of Morton Grangewhere do I begin: my father was diagnosed with cancer and was admitted to morton grange for end of life care. From day one is felt like home. He loved it and so did we as a family. The care he received was amazing, so kind, considerate. The staff were so thoughtful and friendly. They not only looked after our father they cared for us, and then when the inevitable happened the compassion shown was impossible to describe... amazing does not say enough. Thank you to everyone for making my dad's end of life so special. love you all.
Our lovely mum went into Morton grange in May 2025, she unfortunately passed away on 27th August..The staff are not only professional, they are deeply kind, compassionate, and attentive. Every interaction was filled with kindness and dignity. The home itself is welcoming, and we always felt reassured knowing Mum was in such capable hands. Even the undertaker, who had never worked with Morton Grange before, commented on how outstanding the staff were. That speaks volumes. We are so grateful for the love and care shown to Mum, and for the support we received as a family. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Morton Grange to anyone seeking a place where their loved one will be truly looked after
My partner has now been resident at Morton Grange for five weeks and the finest compliment I can pay Morton Grange is that she is happy there. She likes the staff very much and seeks out exchanges with them. She's an engaging character and they seem to have warmed to her. She chats happily to everyone from the Manager to whoever helps her dress on any given day. Meal times are very informal which creates a calming atmosphere and the food appears to be very good. Being removed from a home environment must be an enormous wrench but it's one that the staff make much easier. There is always something going on to activate her remaining capacity, or she can rest should she choose to. There is a large green area outside where her and I sit most days. All in all I think this has been an excellent choice. I would recommend Morton Grange.
The carers are very friendly and helpful. You get a team over the week who you get to know, and they get to know you. You can go into the lounge and dining room or stay in your room. Having a church service led by the local vicar is good. You are not pushed into anything. You are treated accordingly to your ability and mental capability.
Our mum has recently been admitted to Beeches at Morton Grange, she was discharged from hospital to the setting. The standard of care provided is excellent by the staff, they demonstrate care, compassion, kindness and patience to mum. The atmosphere in the home is professionalism shown by staff and friendliness to our mum and visitors of mum. All relatives and friends of mum have commented on how lovely the staff are, it is exactly why we chose the setting, because the staff seemed caring and considerate to mums needs.
I have lived here for 8 years. I used to live with my step dad because my mum past away when she was diagnosed with cancer. I am so glad I decided to live here I am independent with assistance.
There is a lovely friendly atmosphere plenty of helpful staff. There is some activity happening every time i visit (visit 2-3 times a week) i often visit near lunch time to encourage my friend to eat. The food looks and smells appetising. The residents seem very happy and there is nothing too much trouble for the staff. I am kept well informed regarding my friends condition. Each month there is a very informative newsletter which includes future events.
My experience of Morton Grange is nothing but positive. My Dad always looks clean + tidy + have been present when activities have been taking place, which are great to keep the residents active + entertained. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who always greet you with a smile + hello. I would highly recommend Morton Grange + its given me + my dads family the peace of mind that my dads well looked after.
We chose Morton Grange for the care of both my father-in-law and my mother. We cannot praise them enough for the exceptional and compassionate care they both received through their illnesses and subsequent passing. All the staff create a warm family atmosphere for both residents and their families. The care they and we received was supportive, dignified, professional and loving. We will be forever grateful for the time our relatives and we spent with them.
My wife moved from a local hospice to Morton Grange on 11th October, needing 24 hour end-of-life nursing care. From her arrival, to her death on 8th January, she received first-class care, both residential and nursing, and was kept pain-free. She was held in great affection by all who met her; she was not a resident, rather a friend, and I was treated in exactly the same way when I visited her daily. We spent our 65th Christmas together at Morton and the staff worked so hard to make it memorable. I treasure every minute and memory.
My Father has been a resident at Morton Grange since May 2023, initially on respite and since Aug 23 as a permanent resident. The care is exceptional and the staff are all very caring and professional. My Father enjoys the food too, which always looks very appetising. There are lots of events and activities residents and sometimes families/friends can participate in too. The rooms are bright and very clean and furniture and fittings are in good condition. We have personalised Dad's room and the staff were very helpful with this too. I highly recommend Morton Grange to you.
Staff were very friendly and approachable and helpful. The care home was clean with no odour on entry and Mum was always adequately dressed for the conditions.
All staff and management are extremly good. Patient and understanding of my parent's needs, well done all with a difficult and demanding job.
We as a family could not recommend this care home enough. The care everybody gave our nana to the very end was absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much for all the staff they always went above and beyond. Morton Care Home isn't a 'business' it's definitely more of a family. The staff laughed with us, created great memories (Thursday afternoon singer was our favourite) and cried with us towards the end. They went out of their way to make food which our nana fancied if she didn't want what was being made that day. As a family this stage of life is one of the most difficult things to witness but with how kind a caring all the staff are it made it a little more bearable to go home at the end of the day. We honestly can't thank you all enough for everything you did to care for her. She loved you all so much, you are all just fantastic! Thank you!
Mum was there for 5 months as a dementia patient, she received the best care possible and I can honestly say I never saw any staff member behaving anything other than professional but also the warmth and love they give to the residents is heartwarming. At the end of Mum's life, we were there constantly and the staff couldn't have been more caring to Mum and also family members. I feel I formed a friendship with several of the staff and will be eternally grateful for the way Mum was cared for. My elderly dad who visited every day, some days twice a day, was also very well looked after during his visits. Today would've been Mum's 85th birthday so my daughter-in-law, grandchildren, friend and myself popped in with cakes and goodies for the staff so they could share Mum's birthday celebration of life. It was a pleasure to see the staff again and I will be popping in again at some point with Dad, they really were our extended family. Thank you to you all.
The staff were all wonderfully caring and patient with my mother who was a resident for the last few weeks of her life. She told me that she felt safe and cared for, which meant the world to me. Thank you so much.
I could not praise the staff at Morton Grange enough. My Dad has quite aggressive dementia but the staff are not phased by this and always make sure dad is comfy and happy. My dad came into Morton Grange about 2 months ago and the staff have been outstanding. They are kind, caring, attentive and always go above and beyond to make sure my Dad's needs are met. Today was my Mum and Dad's wedding anniversary and Morton Grange did a wonderful meal for them, they had put my dad in a shirt with a pocket hankie and wrote a card from him to my mum. The personal touches they go to for not only the resident but for the families are amazing. My mum was very worried about my dad going into care but the reassurance and support from the fantastic staff at Morton Grange they’ve given my Mum the peace of mind and knowing he is in the right place to care for his needs. The staff always keep us up to date with dads health. Have recommended Morton Grange to friends already. Thank you.
The care my sister was given was wonderful. The care home was always clean and the staff were all very friendly to my sister and anyone visiting whatever the time of day.
This care home is great! They cared for my wife with what was a very bad prion disease. It was very difficult for me to put my wife into their care but I never regretted it. They were so caring, lovely staff. They did what they could, kept me informed all the time. Love all of them.
Morton Grange Care Home is 100% in everything they do. Can't praise them enough.
