Ashcombe House is a lovely clean care home to visit. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I visit a resident here and everyone is treated fairly and respectfully. The staff treated the residents wonderfully and with such care. The hospitality is very warming nad there is a
great atmosphere here.
All the staff from carers, management and cleaners to chefs are all very happy, cheerful people.

I cant speak highly enough of ashcombe house. It was my aunts home for 3 happy years. Louise, the manager literally saved my aunt from her prev care home, for which i will be forever grateful. My aunt loved the home as they used 'proper china and cloth napkins' they treated her with care and
respect. As she became frailer and bed bound they brought the classical musicians to her room ! Special mention to Bianca, a more caring lovely nurse you will never meet. Thankyou to everyone

This care home has exceeded our expectations. The staff are fabulous - compassionate, patient, and always go the extra mile. My husband is thriving here and clearly feels at home, which means the world to us as a family. The home itself is spotless, well organised, and has a positive, friendly
atmosphere.
Activities are engaging, care is tailored, and communication is excellent. Its reassuring to know my husband is not only cared for but genuinley happy.

The home is unlike others that I have visited professionally and personally. Clean - no odours - nice staff who remain. Small enough to be personal and a non-chain feel. Well managed

My father is on respite care at the moment. Our experience from contacting the home to getting him admitted was excellent.
Since he has been in the home he seems very happy. We are happy knowing he is safe and being very well cared for. All staff I have met have been very welcoming. I would highly
reccomend this home.

My father really enjoyed participating with baking. Being near to Christmas 6 of the residents including my father made mince pies. I assume later that day they all got eaten.

Ashcombe House has provided my mum with excellent respite care following a stay in hospital. She will miss the staff very much when she goes home next week. Everyone has been very caring and helpful.

Lovely care home. Staff are very welcoming. Would recommend to anyone whose loved one needs care. Ive got a family member in the home who has settled very well. Great range of activities to do and live music!

On behalf of my mother Margaret and myself. We have immense gratitude to the Ashcombe team, especially Gozel, Louise and Erika, Bianca for all their support to me personally and ensuring my mum has the support and encouragement she needs to transition from her home environment to Ashcombe (her new
home).
Her health needs are being met with a quicker response in comparison to being at home.
She is settling in at her pace and becoming more confident in her surroundings.
Also joining the Ashcombe team and community my mum is receiving the care that she needs, she is healthier, experiencing interaction with the entertainment/ activities and engaging with other residents.

I have a friend in Ashcombe House who is 99 years old, I think that the care home is very good with the staff, the manager, cleanliness and everything you would hope people you care about are treated.

Whenever I come away from Ashcombe House having visited Dad I always think how happy he seems. The staff are friendly and welcoming whenever we visit him, there are lots of activities in the lounge which we usually join in with and he gets to go out on organised trips which, to judge by his face on
the photographs, he thoroughly enjoys. He's eating well and is comfortable and safe. A big thank you to all of the lovely staff for the wonderful care Dad receives.

Ashcombe House has looked after Mum for the last six years up until her death on 25 September aged 103. From our very first contact we have been impressed with Louise and all her staff.
Mum was always treated with respect and her care was excellent.
We feel extremely grateful that we found
Ashcombe as Mum's last home.

So happy with the care dad gets at Barchester Ashcombe House, he feels happy and safe and secure. He loves the staff and has a good relationship with them all. As a family we are happy with the staff and care given to our dad. He is attending more of the activities now and really enjoys everything.
Gillian is brilliant with him, encouraging him to attend. The nurses and staff are amazing with him and Louise runs an amazing home. He is enjoying his food and eats well. Thank you.

The staff are kind and helpful often pushed for time which is limited my partner would often wish to engage in a conversation and seems disopointed when not able to happen.
Food could be varied more with more green veg and chewing ability of my partner taken into account as his false teeth can
prove difficult.

All the staff at Ashcombe House are amazing.
Managerial, nursing, carers, kitchen staff and cleaners were all amazing and treated my Dad with so much respect, he retained his dignity and regained his independence.
Dad entered Ashcombe house, extremely frail, dehydrated and suffering delirium
after a stay in hospital. The wonderful staff at Ashcombe House have nursed him back to health, helping him to gain strength and allowing him to build his confidence so that he has returned to living independently.
I can't thank them enough and I am so grateful to the Manager, for seeing my Dad in hospital and getting him the care he needed.

From the moment we first visited Ashcombe House-exhausted and overwhelmed-every single member of staff wrapped their arms not only around mum, but around our whole family. Their kindness, patience, and compassion were nothing short of angelic. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and it brought us
such comfort to know mum was so well looked after. Plus the food was fantastic.
All of mum's friends completely agreed with us that Ashcombe House was like a home from home
Everyone has worked at Ashcombe for a very long time - and it shows.
