Thank you, just thank you to everyone who works at bankwood. These guys truly do their job everyday for the love of providing care, safety and love to the residents. My mum felt safe, secure and loved for her last couple of weeks of life. We as a family, visiting everyday at all times of day and night, were cared for, valued and listened to when we were trying to find our way through loosing our mum/nana/sister and great nana. Thank you guys xx

We will be forever grateful for the experience our mum/nana/great nana/sister (Liz) had during her final weeks of life. The staff at this beautiful home made the whole transition effortless and cared for us as a family just as well as they did for Nana. The care she received was nothing short of amazing, she was genuinely happy there and felt safe and looked after. Every single staff member from the nurses and care assistants, to the kitchen and laundry staff are angels. The genuine care and compassion they show whilst doing the toughest job is admirable. They gave Nana respect, dignity, autonomy, undivided time and a friendly smile at all times until she left their care. No amount of thanks will ever be enough for these amazing people.

I don't know where to begin, but if your loved one needs care. Look no further than Bankwood, Duffield. The care and support for our mum and ourselves have been nothing short of outstanding. We couldn't have had or wished for better care. Our mum was so happy there, we were cared for like a part of their extended family. Bankwood will always have a special place in my heart and words cannot convey exactly how much I thank them for the difference they made every single day.

My mum came to bankwood for end of life care from hospital. I have never known such care and empathy not only towards my mum, but us as family were treated with. Every staff member from management, nurses, carers, kitchen staff were the kindest, professional, reassuring of people. My mum was treated with love, respect, good humour and made to feel at home and heard from the moment she arrived. We will never be able to communicate effectively enough how much your home and staff have meant to us and my mum who told us herself 'I love it here'. Thank you x

My mother in law was resident at Bankwood from November 2024 until she died there on 2.11.25. The care she received was excellent. Staff at Bankwood work as a team and the home has a real family feel. Residents are treated with respect and dignity

Staff are always friendly and helpful. Good and clean lounges, where you can talk with other residents and staff. Residents bedrooms are clean tidy and functional, and some have beautiful views over the river and village below.

Bankwood is an excellent care home. The staff are very good.very caring, very friendly and treat everyone with respect, both residents and their family members. My mothers room has exceptional views and the room has good facilities.Mum feels very safe and content, both important factors for any resident. It has hairdressing facilities, something Mum looks forward to using every week. Mum would like a little more variety in the activities offered by the home. That said the present activities are performed very well and carried out with professionalism and care, and I know that further opportunities are always considered in the regularly held residents meeting. The home also arranges for regular entertainment to come in and perform. This again is very welcomed and much enjoyed. As I said at the beginning Bankwood is an excellent care home excellently managed by Izzy. It has an a exceptional nursing team with wonderful caring staff.

Mum was transferred to Bankwood after a lengthy stay in hospital and her life has changed considerably. It has been a difficult adjustment for her, but the staff have been amazing. They are kind and helpful and have taken time to get to know mum. Mum is still settling in and the wonderful views from the conservatory have helped her do this. The staff at Bankwood have also made the family feel very welcome when visiting. Thank you.

Fantastic home in a beautiful environment. The staff are caring and compassionate and any requests are actioned quickly. The food is of a good quality and under their care, mum's bedsore has rapidly improved. I couldn't find a better place for her. She can be feisty but they take it all in their stride.

An exceptionally good care home, would highly recommend for anyone looking for a home for a loved one. The staff are very caring and go above and beyond to make sure all residents are well looked after. They all do an amazing job and I'm highly delighted that I chose Bankwood to look after and care for my Uncle.

Mum is receiving excellent care. The staff are so kind, the food is delicious and there are plenty of activities if you want to join in. Mum went in for temporary care but loves it so much, she's decided to stay permanently

I have nothing but the highest praise for Bankwood where my Dad is currently a resident and has been for the last couple of years. My Grandma was also a resident, over a decade ago and the fact that many of the staff including, the manager are still the same today, I think speaks for itself. The facilities (rooms, communal areas and meals) are excellent and the highest regard is given to making it as homely as possible and responding to the residents individual preferences. It is always immaculately clean and tidy but also decorated (with creative activities done by the residents) for festivals and celebrations. The many visits and visitors also keep residents engagement and well-being high at all times. All of the staff are amazing- more like a family and they treat residents (and their families) with dignity, warmth and care at all times-the lovely relationships are plain to see during every visit. Bankwood have given me so much care and support over the years for which I am truly grateful.

Lovely, helpful management and staff. Try their best to see that the residents are happy and well cared for. Residents can mix easily and make lots of new friends and also get involved in activities together and go on outings from time to time. Would fully recommend it for peace of mind if required for your relatives.

Bankwood Care Home is, as far as my husband is concerned, a home from home into which he has settled very well indeed. He loves it! As far as we are both concerned, the care is exemplary - kind, considerate, thoughtful and efficient. Residents' social well-being is very much considered and many activities are offered, if required. Singers, pianists, other musicians provide regular entertainment. Festivals, such as Divali, Christmas, New Year, Burns Night, Chinese New Year and the like. are celebrated, public rooms being decorated accordingly. There is a hairdressing salon, a quiet lounge, a conservatory and a large lounge, as well as an attractive dining room. Currently, there is much going on with refurbishing the interior public and private spaces, including the renovation of a Victorian room, previously partitioned off, now restored and retaining many of the original features, which will provide additional lounge space. The views from Bankwood are spectacular!

The management and staff of Bankwood Care Home are always so helpful to us. We recently organised a surprise birthday party for our stepmum and one member of staff, in particular, and the staff put it all together for us, going out to buy all the food and cake, through to setting up the room with balloons. Our stepmum was very happy and emotional at the party, it made her day and thanks, almost entirely, to the staff at Bankwood who made this possible.

My mum has been a resident at Bankwood Care Home since July 2022 after having a stroke. The care from all the staff is of the highest standard. They all work together, as a team, turning their hands to whatever they see needs attention at the time. All the residents look happy, cared for and it's like one big happy family. My mum is very happy here and she always tells how she is treated with care, respect and dignity at all times by all the staff. One of the most difficult tasks you will ever have to face is choosing a care home for your loved one.
