Care is good. Confidentiality is dreadful. Have overheard staff speaking horribly to residents but the care my relative has received is good. Communication is bad. Management - no clue who they are/never around. One occasion the manager was dismissive but that was at the beginning. Place is clean
but tired. Activities are good.

A nice place with caring staff.

Welcoming & warm environment. Activities that residents can all join in on even if on another unit. Varying meals, with options. Toilets are dated, not always clean & don't have correct bins - yellow bin etc. Staff lovely but stretched when residents just need time & supportive conversations to help
them remain calm.

I visit my Dad weekly and he is very happy. He loves the food and has put on weight since being at the home. He is normally very solitary but has started to socialise more. He especially likes the bingo and summer fete. His room could be cleaned a little more often but that is my only complaint. The
staff are lovely and always listen to my concerns regarding any health issues.

The staff are always friendly and welcoming. They work hard to provide care and support. Mum and Dad are well cared for and happy. Communication with the unit is good and they phone me if needed. Mum and Dad are familiar with all the carers and we are grateful for their hard work and care. I have

Have been to see Joan a few times since she has been in Chilton Meadows and what a lovely welcome we got. Have now been to chocolate bingo twice and was amazed at the wonderful prizes and atmosphere.

Mum is well looked after and is happy. I wish she could be encouraged to join in more activities!

My uncle moved to Chilton Medows because his previous care home could not care for his declining and difficult dementia journey.
I cannot speak highly enough of the staff & this care home. They were amazing with my uncle and went above and beyond.
They treated my uncle with dignity and respect,
even when his dementia made him be abusive and difficult to the staff.

My Mum spent her final years at Chiltern Meadows. Living overseas we had been very worried about the care Mum had been getting at home and a social worker found this home. From day one we realized the nursing staff were so caring and thoughtful and we felt Mum was safe, happy and finally being
looked after properly. But even the office staff, gardeners, kitchen team, everyone, I can't say enough how wonderful they all are. They would make sure mum had daily visits, would bring their dogs to see her, always made sure she had bird feeders filled by her window. If you are looking for a home that goes above and beyond this is the place to choose. I don't think I can put into words how thankful we will always be to the staff there they really made it a home from home for our dear Mum

Apart from minor hiccups the staff are courteous and friendly. We have a laugh sometimes - I find most of the staff kind and helpful and have settled into Gainsborough House very well. I will have been here for 2 years in April - I am now 97 years old.

I feel that Mum has settled well into the care home. I have always found it to be very clean and every member of staff are always kind and friendly and always help Mum. There are always lots of activities going on and mum has joined in with a lot of them. Mum has said there is plenty of food and if
you don't like what is on the menu you can have something else. I definitely feel like Mum is very well looked after by staff who genuinely care.

Carers, nurses & staff are friendly & very helpful when they have the time as they are always busy looking after someone. I have tried to move my mum into a room with a bigger window but always got snubbed by the manager, apart from that all is good.

Mum has been here for nearly two years now and I have nothing but praise for the care she has been given. The carers are very understanding of her dementia and physical needs and nothing is too much trouble for them. The entertainment team are also amazing. Mum particularly loves the musical
entertainment and playing Bingo but has also taken part in baking, painting and flower arranging. Everyone is also very friendly and welcoming to all family visitors so we all feel like one big family. The variety of food is also very good, especially with her dietary needs.
