The home works hard to mum's needs and you can see this in how settled and happy she is there. It is always a friendly welcoming environment and keep us up to date with what is happening for mum. Following mums accident we were worried about how she would be looked after as she did not want care.
But the team has worked with her and family to the piont that she is doing well.

My mum has now been a resident at chapel house for almost 2 years now
After visiting many other care homes in the area I feel so privileged and relieved that she is residing in the best possible place for all of her needs
Nothing is too much to ask and my family feels like part of an extended
family with the love and care that they provide
If I could give chapel house more than 5 stars i wouldn't hesitate to award it
When you are going through the motions of looking for a care home for your relative the main thing to consider is the care and not the look of the home
Other homes were modern and maybe more glitzy but that's not the important thing
The main reason that you put a relative into a care home is to be cared for and that is what chapel house delivers
Mum receives the right care for her needs and that gives us peace of mind knowing that she is excellent hands

Our father was really well looked after at Chapel House. The care team are delightful, treating our father with care, dignity and respect and guiding us through the stages of his illness. Chapel house is well run with people who care about the individual.

From the manager Keith, to the day and night teams caring for all the residents, my grandmother was treated with grace, dignity, kindness, and the utmost professionalism by everyone at Chapel House in her final days.
My Grandmother's arrival at Chapel House was organised quickly, and her time there
at the end of her life was brief, but the entire team made a very difficult job seem easy.
It's clear that Chapel House is an excellent facility. We would all be lucky to receive the quality of care provided there, should we ever need it.

Our mother (and grandmother) Lyn received the most professional and compassionate palliative care at Chapel House in recent in weeks. She unfortunately only had 6 days of palliative care with Chapel House before her passing but the staff could not have done more for mum during this difficult time.
Their support for us as a family was also kind, respectful and patient, and it is very clear that all residents at the home (short or longer term) and treated as if they were family members by all staff. A common question in healthcare is 'would you recommend this service to a member of your family or a close friend?' As a family member (and healthcare professional) I have no hesitation is saying yes I would recommend Chapel House for palliative care and/or dementia residential care (Lyn also lived with dementia in her final years). Thank you Chapel House, you were a blessing in mum's final days and hours.

When selecting a care home for our mum we were advised to assess based upon the staff rather than building facilities - Chapel House staff truly care for their resident. Mum is very settled and well looked after. We love the new peace garden and its great to have the cafe at the end of the cafe.

Chapel House has been home to our beautiful sister for 2 1/2 years and she has settled into life there very smoothly. She is cared for extreemly well by all the staff and it is obvious how much they genuinely love her. She's treated with dignity + tenderness and knows she is loved. I just want her
to feel at home + I feel she does.

My husband has been a resident in The Chapel House for over fourteen months so far and I have nothing but praise for this nursing home. The staff are extremely caring towards him, as well as offering support to my family and myself, welcoming us at any time. Apart from excellent nursing care, my
husband is offered a variety of 'well-being' activities and a lovely new sensory garden to enjoy. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and staff work hard to get to know each resident to ensure their general 'well-being'.

Chapel House have provided and continues to care for our family member who sadly at 91 fell ill having lived independently with dementia her illness turned our world upside down.
From the point of referral to date, we are so pleased with the care she receives on a daily basis. Communication is
excellent and the level of support given to my husband and myself has enabled us to become family members rather than carers and enjoy time with her.
She is always dressed in her own clothes and staff have great attention to detail.
Having worked in social care for over 40 years Chapel House have given us everything I know she needs and deserves and offers the highest standard of care.
Thank you.

During the 17 months, my mum was a resident at Chapel House her care was excellent. Mum had many complex health issues and advanced dementia. We had looked after her in our own home prior to her going into Chapel House but in the end, found it too challenging and we were exhausted.
As a resident
at Chapel House, she was treated with care, compassion and dignity. There was always communication from the staff with myself regarding her fluctuating condition and the changes that needed to be implemented eg. medication or to be seen by a doctor. Mum always looked clean and well-dressed. The manager, deputy manager and all staff day and night were friendly, supportive and very caring and I cannot thank them enough for looking after Mum so well in her final days. I will always remember their kindness.

My mum has lived at The Chapel House for a few years now. The care she has received has been brilliant. As a family, we can sleep soundly knowing she is being well looked after and look forward to our visits. We’re always greeted with smiley, caring staff who are just as supportive to us as they are
to my mum. A real home from home. Every respect for all the staff there who work tirelessly to play a role in mums care that we simply couldn’t. Thank you!

The care given to Mum at The Chapel House is outstanding and I could not ask for better. The staff have taken the time to get to know her - not just her medical needs but her as a person, they really are wonderful. The communication lines are always open and whenever I phone, whoever answers knows
exactly how she is and how she has spent her time - it means a lot to me to know that she is in such good hands in a community that feels like home.

The nursing and care staff have been magnificent in settling my husband into the life of the home. kindness to the family and my husband has been greatly appreciated.

My mum has been a resident at Chapel house for over 12 months after sadly getting worse with dementia. Since mum arrived, the love and care that has been provided to her by all the staff has been excellent. Sadly my dad also became very unwell last year and the staff were able to accept him as a
resident for the last few months of his life, enabling him to be with my mum which was lovely as he had been really struggling without her at home. All the team here are attentive, caring, thoughtful and I feel go beyond expectations to ensure your loved ones are cared for in a professional yet loving manner.

My father spent the last ten weeks of his life at the home having been moved from hospital. Straight from the start it was clear that the management, staff and nursing team were extremely professional and caring in their roles. This put my mother's fears quickly at ease. Throughout the ten weeks
they supported not only my father but my mother massively too, providing her with meals and verbal support. I cannot find any fault or any constructive criticism to offer. They are a credit to their industry and I thank them with all my heart.
