I cannot give enough praise or recommendations to Castle Graig .
My mother has been a resident since August and is so happy there.
She loves the food, and they allow me to bring in her favourite dishes when she wants them. She is always kept lovely and clean and safe.
The staff are always happy and
always popping into see mum when passing her room to check on her, have a chat or help with the puzzle she is doing.
The management team are lovely and helpful; nothing is too much trouble for them.
The whole team at Castle Graig are amazing and not only care for the residents but also care for the family members as well.

I can not praise the home enough god the care my dad has had since being in Castle Craig. I have worked myself in the care sector over 20 years with the local authority. I have no complaints at all with the service at Castle Graig, Dad is well cared for always clean and tidy, Dad has dementia and
when at home would not wash or have any personal care done but the staff here have gained his trust and allow them to do all personal care tasks, He always has a drink available and is fed a good diet. I can't thank the staff enough for the love and attention he revieves. Well done all staff at the home x

I can not stress enough how wonderful this nursing home is, my father was extremely unwell when he arrived over a year ago, bed bound and end of life. Now thanks to the dedication of all the staff, he walks with his zimmerframe into the lounge and dining room. Thank you all at Castle Graig
Residential & Nursing Home.

My mum has been a resident for the last 18 months. She is on a gluten-free diet also suffers from dementia. The staff looking after my mum are absolutely brilliant they care for her as if she was their mum, they are very kind and understanding and after a recent stay in hospital she was very glad to
be back home in her lovely room. She is well cared for, clean and well fed. You couldn't ask for better. She couldn't be happier.

My aunt became a resident here after suffering a stroke at the age of 89. She also has dementia. Whilst here my aunt fell and broke her hip (not the homes fault) was given immediate treatment and taken to hospital where a hip replacement was done. She has received excellent care here and has settled
well. It took a while but she really likes it here. She doesn't stop saying how good the food is. The staff are very friendly and cheerful. I visit often so was upset during this pandemic but the senior carer arranged for me to ring at any time and then very quickly arranged a video chat program which has been a godsend. The activities coordinator rings me every week for a video chat and it is so wonderful to see my aunt so well and happy. This is an excellent home with really good facilities. They do a lot for their residents and in my opinion, go above and beyond the call of duty. Well done to every member of staff.

My aunt has been at Castle Graig for nearly year. Since she's been there the staff have been very caring and helpful and since the lockdown we haven't been able to see her but they have been doing video calling so this is great. Just want to thank everyone for their support and help for my aunt.

Very good service and friendly staff, have been fantastic to keep Covid out of the home, and the activities coordinator has gone the extra mile to link us online. Thank you all for all you have done. Will be happy when we can get back to visit.

My mother is 91 and has been a resident for 11 months. She has Parkinson's dementia, is blind and doubly incontinent. As a result, she is difficult to engage or understand many activities. I think the staff have treated my mum with patience and respect. I found on my various visits all staff and
management to be friendly and helpful.
The current lockdown has been exceptionally difficult times for all.

Words cannot express how I feel about the care, staff and facilities that they have shown my mother. Her care is second to none, though suffering with Dementia, I have seen an improvement in her overall condition and personal appearance. Her health has improved since moving her to this home. The
staff are magic.

My mother was admitted to Castle Graig on 29 January 2018 and passed away on 20 March 2018. She had vascular dementia, and sadly never got the chance to join in the life of the home or the activities available. Her care was provided with patience and kindness and consideration at all times and the
staff are to be commended for the way they do a difficult job. I can't comment much on the food provided, but it was clear that there is a varied diet available and efforts are made to provide for preferences. The dining and lounge areas are cheerful and there are plans afoot for an outside leisure area to be extended. I was able to personalise her room, to visit whenever I wished and in her final days everything possible was done to make her comfortable and pain - and distress-free. I was made to feel like one of Castle Graig's family and supported at a very difficult time. I would have no hesitation in recommending the home and would be happy to end my own days there if need be.

Have always been impressed with the level of care my mother has received since becoming a resident (2013) The staff are very professional and easy to talk to. My mother is very happy and gets on with all the staff.

It was with great sadness that I organised the transfer of my mother from her home in Swansea to Castle Craig Nursing Home two years ago. My mother who was 97 at the time became so unsteady on her feet, suffering occasional fits, that I had no other option but to put her in care. I chose Castle
Craig Nursing Home as it was close to her home and on visiting the premises I found the staff very friendly and helpful. As I live in Stratford-Upon-Avon, I find it difficult visiting my mother regularly- normally visit monthly for 2/3 days but the staff keep me informed of her condition. The overall standard, i would judge as good/excellent and of good value for money.

My dad has been a resident at Castle Craig Nursing Home since September 2009. Dad is treated as an individual, with kindness consideration and dignity. Staff go out of their way to make everyone feel at home. The home has a friendly, happy relaxed atmosphere and family and friends are welcomed and
actively encouraged to join in with activities. Food at the home is very good and consideration is always given to individual likes and dislikes. Dad has his own room and bathroom which is kept clean. He is always dressed in his own clothes, which are clean and fresh and has regular on site haircuts. I know dad is safe and well cared for in a professional and kind hearted manner.

My mother became a resident at Castle Graig care home in September 2013. She has developed bed sores because she is constantly turned in her bed and repositioned, even at night. When an old injury opened up on her ankle new positioning in bed, the use of plasters and a surgical "booty" helped close
the wound again. From time to time my mother is given food that does not agree with her eg fizzy drinks etc. On the whole though her care is good.
