My mum had recently had a stroke and heart failure and was not well enough to go home post a hospital stay. The staff have gone above and beyond to improve mum's health and well being following this long stay in hospital. Nothing is too much trouble and they really " care" about all of their residents. The warmth and professionalism of the staff is just amazing, we have really seen an improvement in mum's health whilst she was there. The facilities and care are good and I would highly recommend.
I visit my friend most weeks and think the care she gets is great, nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are great and can't do enough for the residents. She has been here for 12 months now and has really enjoyed her time here.
Dad, who has Alzheimer's, has had the opportunity to have respite at Woodcote for 6 weeks, and after the care he's received there we will be campaigning for him to become a permanent resident. Honestly, it's been the hardest thing we've ever had to do as a family, but the staff at Woodcote have made him and ourselves so welcome. They show a level of professionalism that has really helped the transition, and a warmth that makes the care feel like home. He looks so much better than pre-respite and despite the usual Alzheimer's niggles, he's genuinely relaxed and happy (more than he even knows himself).
So far the overall service for my mother from all the staff is good. Lovely old building and outside area. Nightly room visits are very good, plenty of drinks, hot and cold all day. Overall the care shown to my mother has been very good. She is very happy here.
