Staff and kind and listen and respond appropriately to family concerns and/or requests. Manager is accessible and approachable. Lovely environment and accommodation. Very good communication to family

It took dad awhile to settle into Towy Castle, the staff have been so patient with him, all of his needs are catered for and if there are any health issues, as there has been this month, I'm kept updated on the situation and consulted on care package.
The entertainment keeps him engaged, he loves
music, singalongs and visits from the local nursery children.

I am generally very pleased with the care home. My mother is safe and well cared for and feels party of the community. All the staff are responsive, helpful and courteous.
If there is an issue I get a phone call from the Office to discuss the plan and confirm what actions are already in place. It
is great peace of mind.

All the staff from cleaners to managers are outstandingly friendly, polite and helpful. The staff welcome visitors and I feel actively encourage visitors at all times. The staff make time to talk to the residents and follow through on any issues. Any queries by relatives are answered and requests
acted upon as soon as possible. The building is always kept warm and very clean. Towy Castle managers have a good rapport with the G.P. surgeries and associated health visitors.

A wonderful caring , homely environment there to support your loved one when they need it .
Always greeted with a smile and warm welcome from these wonderful staff .
Lovely home made food and a varied menu to suit everyone's tastes.
Activities to participate in or not as you so chose .
But most
of all company , care and compassion at all times of day and night .
Some rooms have the best views in the county !

This home is of a very high standard and the staff are extremely diligent in their work. My friend has been here for 18 months in the Dementia unit and is looked after by some very kind, hardworking, patient carers and she is always dressed smartly, her room is perfectly clean and her laundry in
impeccable condition.
The management are very friendly and know the individual residents by name and take a personal interest in their care needs.
Being conversant with a number of other carehomes due to having had friends and family in them, Towy Castle with it's beautiful landscape surroundings and high standard of care, is number one on my list of care facilities in the area. Long may the standards continue

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful care and dedication shown by everyone at your care home. The staff are consistently kind, patient, and professional, and it is clear that they genuinely care about the residents and their wellbeing.
I am especially impressed by the
brilliant entertainment program. The variety, creativity, and effort that goes into the activities make a real difference to residents' quality of life. It is heartening to see so much joy, engagement, and laughter encouraged every day.

My mum has been here for nearly 3 years and is receiving good care. The staff are excelent and always make me feel welcomed when I visit.

My mother has been a resident for a few years .
In our experience I have found the staff to kind and caring taking the time to get to know her individual needs, likes and dislikes . Mother is treated dignity and respect .
The staff are quick to recognise and respond to any illness with timely
medical intervention if needed .
As a family member I feel very welcome to visit and able to chat with staff about any concerns if they arise .
All staff at Towy castle ,housekeeping , laundry, maintenance and catering show the same level of care to the residence and commitment to their role .
The residence enjoy visits from local nursery and various entertainers who will encourage everyone to have fun with music .
Mother and I feel fortunate to have found such a lovely care home in stunning grounds.

My husband was admitted to the Towy Castie Care home because we could no longer provide enough care for him at home.
He was very happy there. Well cared for and treated with respect.

Thank you to the manager and two other members of staff in particular and all the staff at Towy Castle who cared for my mother for a week's respite in July 2025.
Everyone was so very nice and kind and the staff worked very hard to take care of everyone including the supporting family.

My mother has just finished two and a half months respite care at Tywi Castel. We are so grateful to Sue, Bronwen and the whole team for treating my mother with such kindness and respect throughout her stay.
She leaves to go back home much recovered from her hospital stay at Christmas and we cannot
recommend this facility highly enough.
The team were also fantastic at communicating with me and my wife too who live in the SE of England and could only visit spasmodically.
You are all a great credit to your company.

Sadly my mother passed away on January 8th having been a resident for the last 20 months. I cannot praise the staff at Towy highly enough for the care Mum received - all the staff were always welcoming, friendly and helpful -like a big hug! It really was like a family. Mum was kept engaged with lots
of activities and entertainment. And she loved her trips out on the bus especially if ice cream was involved! The home and Mum's room was always spotlessly clean, her own sheets on her bed and her clothes carefully washed and put away. The food was fantastic - mum put on weight that she desperately needed- and staff were always happy to make alternatives if needed.
The care she received in the last week was exceptional and the family were welcomed with tea and biscuits and a shoulder to cry on. Our only regret is that Mum didn't have longer living at the Castle!

My mum was booked into Towy Castle for 4 weeks for respite whilst adaptations were being carried out at our bungalow. Mum is living with dementia and getting her to accept that she was going to be away from home for 4 weeks was definitely going to be problematic. I had to put my trust in the staff
that they would take good care of Mum for the duration of her stay. First evening she was very annoyed that I had left her there! On my 1st visit she had settled really well, thought the staff were really lovely, she knew a few of the residents and all was fine. She was much calmer and was enjoying her stay. The philosophy of the home is that the care of the individual is the number one priority and that each resident should be treated with dignity and respect and this is exactly the experience/ care mum was given. The Care staff were always cheerful and helpful. The standard of care was exceptional and the management team are excellent. Mum is now on the waiting list to reside there.

My mother has been in Towy Castle for almost three years and has received excellent care during this time. The staff treat her with respect and dignity and I'm very grateful to them. It's always a pleasure visiting her and seeing her happy and content. Thank you to all the amazing staff.

I'm over the moon that my gramps was assessed and Towy Castle are able to meet my grandfather's care needs. The staff has given me support and care through this process very caring and understanding. Both carers have put in place the needs of my gramps/ GP / OT / SW reviews. Whilst communicating
with me at all times. It is very important that I'm updated at all times. The carers are outstanding. Thank you all so much. The food is lovely especially the pudding as gramps has a sweet tooth. The home is clean and has fantastic views. You have a lovely welcome by all. The operational manager is very approachable.

My Auntie has been in Towy Castle for a few years. I am very happy with the care she has been getting and is still continuing getting to this very day. The staff are amazing and so dedicated to their work. If there are any issues they will ring to update me on things. It's always a pleasure going to
the home for a visit.

In my 46-year career as a senior nurse, I feel that Towy Castle is the best I have seen; the care and compassion by the staff and the cleanliness and quality of the environment is exceptional. Mam was here for four years and I truly cannot thank the team enough for caring for her. Let's also not

My Mum joined the Towy Castle community in August last year. She was confused, unable to stand unaided having come straight from hospital, and anxious. Thanks to the care of the staff, she is now calm, enjoying the activities and walking around with a Zimmer frame. The staff have given her
confidence to be more independent. My mum really enjoys a lot of the activities especially trips out. If I have any concerns regarding my mum, I have no worries about approaching the staff as they are always willing to listen. I am so glad my mum is in Towy Castle, it gives me peace of mind that she is properly cared for.
