St Georges care home at Washington
My mother has only been in this home for almost two months, and what an improvement in her care since coming here, she looks better and eating properly, and in general she is being very well looked after by all the amazing staff in this home, I cannot thank them
enough for all the hard work they all do, I would recommend this home to anyone who is thinking about finding a great home for there loved ones. thanks Alan

Great Care Home, from management to staff, very caring and friendly....a wonderful team.

My mother has been in the home, now, for two years. After two previous homes not suiting my mother's needs, we've found the perfect place. My mother lives her room, which is like a small self-contained flat. The size of the home is also ideal, housing around 40 residents.
The staff are always
attentive and very caring. Nothing seems to be too much trouble, and they're always striving to ensure mam is happy, and her welfare needs are met. From top to bottom, staff do their utmost, in what is a difficult and challenging role. I like to thank those staff for their kindness and continuing support to the family and mam. Their efforts are appreciated by all the family, after a difficult few years before mam went into a the home.
I hope these few words are enough thanks,. And keep up the good work.

Rob had 2 periods of respite here prior to an assessment period, then permanent care. His physical needs are largely well met, and he is arpported in personal care and eating. He enjoys activities when they are available.
His room is functional, airy, light and clean. Staff, including managers,
are this home's biggest asset.

Both of my parents are residents in St George's Residential Home. Dad has been there for a year - dementia (also mobility problems etc) Mum has only been there few months - mobility issues and generally frail. The staff are also veyr friendly, warm but still very professional, the atmosphere is
always positive & calm. As we are always aware - they do actually care. Very satisfied overall & would recommend.

My family and I had a wonderful afternoon of entertainment and refreshment to celebrate my sister's 90th Birthday. Every visitor and staff and resident joined in the fun to make the occasion exceptional.
It was an afternoon to remember and we view the occasion on the website with other who were
unable to attend and again they too were very impressed! Thank you all!

St George's went above and beyond to make my mums special birthday a memorable experience for her, her friends she has made in the home and our family. Entertainment was organised, tailor made for my mum as well as a buffet tea which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were excellent and could
not do enough for my mum and our family to ensure that the occasion was celebrated in style. I certainly recommend this home for anyone who has a family member with dementia.

Dad has been in St George's 3 years, in this time he is treated with dignity, care, respect from all staff members. He is settled, happy and well fed. All staff interact with him and seem genuine in their care. They totally understand his needs which means so much to us as we live more than an hour
away, knowing Dad is taken care of so well gives us peace of mind. Thanks to all the staff at St George's.

My father is given excellent support in this lovely, happy environment.
All staff are respectful, caring and professional in everything they do in their support.
Cleanliness is second to none.
Lots of activities are carried out during the week with staff going out of their way to create fun and
enriching experiences.
The menu is varied and always smells Devine.
This really is a First Class Home.

We've always been treated well by staff at St. George's. Mum is content here and gets involved in the activities. Although there are things that can be improved - mostly down to staff levels - we are happy with mum living here.

My husband has had really good care since he arrived at St Georges, which has eased so much worry off me. He gets on well with all the staff, they all make a fuss of him. He cannot walk, but nothing is too much trouble. He has been well looked after with finding the right medication for him.

Since my father started to live and be cared for by the very caring competent team of staff at St George's it has been an ongoing professional partnership between the home and the family to ensure Dad is given the best and appropriate care to make the rest of his life as comfortable and happy as
possible. Extremely positive about his care and the staff are so approachable if we have any questions or concerns.

Mam has been a resident of St George's for 4 years. She is now settled, comfortable and well cared for. The home is small compared to others but I personally think this is a positive as it creates a family atmosphere. Food and drink are plentiful and well-monitored. The staff are excellent very
friendly, caring and polite. The staff and management are very approachable if you have a concern or problem. The home is clean and the decor is nice. Rooms are comfortable and can be decorated with personal items to look more homely. The ethics of the home are excellent and carried out by everyone. Residents are treated with kindness. Would recommend.

My sister and I looked at several care homes before arriving at St George's. From the minute I walked into the door and met the staff I felt this was the best place for my mam. The staff are genuine, kind, caring and supportive. They treat Mam with respect, patience, kindness and of course humour.
Mam has settled well and appears to have good relationships with all the staff.
The food is nutritional and varied and staff encourage Mam to eat her food, which is so much appreciated.
I wish to thank the whole staff team at St George's for looking after my mam and providing her with a safe and calm environment which I know meets her needs very well.

I am very happy with this care home. Staff and management are very good and look after my husband's care needs very well. The food is excellent, and all rooms are kept very clean and tidy. Staff and management are very friendly and polite.

My mother-in-law loves being in St George's care home and enjoys socialising with the staff and other residents. Warm, welcoming atmosphere. Enjoys going out on the trips provided by the home and enjoys joining in with the activities.

Since my mam has been in St George's, she's always been well looked after, and the care she's given has totally put my mind at rest as she has been in a few. But St George's is, in my opinion, I have never seen my mam at her happiest. My mam is well known and has been in St George's for a long time,
and I wouldn't want her to be anywhere else. Keep up the good work, St George's.

From the moment we were shown around the home, we believed that it would be the most suitable accommodation. We were not sure how my mother-in-law would settle at first, as she has had a lot going on and had just been discharged from the hospital. After nearly three months, however, we can say that
she has settled in very well, she enjoys taking part in the various activities, and we feel that she is being well looked after. She has said herself that the staff could not be more friendly and helpful, and we have seen for ourselves the respect and care that they provide for all of the residents. Although she has some continuing medical needs, these are all well attended to by the staff who liaise with the medical professionals to ensure that the necessary medical care is also in place, informing us when necessary as to what has happened. We feel comfortable about the care she is receiving and believe that she is being well looked after and her needs are being fully met. Communication has been excellent.

My mother has been in St George's care home for two years now, and it is somewhere that everyone feels is the right place, surrounded by excellent care and conditions for the specific condition. Our mother is happy, safe and stimulated. It is our first experience of 24-hour care, and as a family, we
feel that we made a great choice.
