View Full Details of St Catherine's Dementia Care HomeThe family are happy with the care my husband is receiving and he seems to have settled very well.
The home is very well run and staffed. It meets all my expectations. It is a credit to all involved.
Decor and sitting, home is really friendly and welcoming. Food looked lovely and well presented.
Excellent staff always helpful nice to see entertainment for the residents and have them join in the fun.
This is unlike any other home in decor, approach, classes as holistic and alternative. It suits my partner as a hotel type facilities would not suit his character. The staff couldn't be more obliging and helpful always willing to listen to any suggestions or prompts!
So far we very satisfied with the service and staff. My wife just spent 4 weeks in hospital, but the staff at St Catherine's were brilliant dealing with ambulance.
My father has been in St Catherine's for 26 months and during this time as a family we all agree that he could not have lived in a better home which fully caters for all his needs. All the staff are outstanding and they go above and beyond all our expectations, extremely caring and compassionate. There is a lovely atmosphere and the surroundings perfect for dementia residents. Nice to spend time there and not worry leaving as my father is in good hands, which is priceless and means so much!
My husband has had the best care since coming into St Catherines Dementia Care Home. I visit him often and when I leave him I have no worries at all. The carers always encourage him to take part in all the activities which take place every day, also the entertainment they provide for them.
Warm and friendly, always feel my brother is well looked after. Always plenty of entertainment organised for the residents which they always enjoy. I have been in many care homes also with my job and I find SCD's the best by far.
My father was a resident for two years at St Catherine's and in that time he was happier than we had seen him in a long time. The staff treated him with kindness, good humour and respect, and he really felt at home there. St Catherine's is well-designed and friendly (not remotely institutionalised) and he seemed to really fit in. The gardens in particular were a great source of joy to my father - he loved watching the birds and rabbits, and really appreciated the wonderful, seasonal planting around the buildings. Sadly Dad died in November 2024. His end-of-life care was exemplary, and the staff could not have been kinder or more caring - not only to Dad but also towards my sister and myself whenever we were with him in his last weeks. I'm so glad Dad came to St Catherine's. It was a wonderful place for him.
The care Mum received since coming to Saint Catherine's in June 2023 was excellent. She settled in within a few days. The facilities are great and always very clean. All the staff are amazing, they work with much compassion, patience and love. I used to love visiting Mum each week and was always made to feel so welcome by all. I always left knowing Mum was really happy. The care mom received at her end of life was superb and I am so grateful they went above and beyond to look after her but also kept me strong. I would recommend St Catherine's.
My wife has been an early onset dementia resident at St Catherine's Dementia Care Home for one year. This has changed her life and mine too. We are both so much happier than when I was struggling to be her carer. Yes, the building and the setting are beautiful. The thoughtfulness behind the internal layout and decor is inspiring. It is a joyous place, truly a home from home. More than that, all the staff are outstanding in their care, compassion, kindness, patience and devotion. They genuinely go 'above and beyond', you really feel that residents are their family, they are meticulously looked after. Everything is catered for, residents go on regular outings, help in preparing food, they interact and are stimulated, nothing is ever too much trouble. Visiting is a heart-warming occasion, we are made to feel so welcome as part of their family. I truly believe there is no happier place for my wife to call Home. If you're looking for a care home that genuinely cares, you have just found it.
My husband is very happy which takes a load off my mind and everything is always first class.
My partner stayed at the manor, and I couldn't be more happy with both the management and staff alike. It's a groundbreaking facility for early-onset dementia adults in the area. What A difference to "normal" dementia care homes.
My wife has been moved recently from another care home to St Catherine's/ The comparison is like comparing chalk to cheese. The previous care home was a home that accepted residents with dementia. St Catherine's is a home that is designed for patients with dementia, and the staff are trained to deal with residents with dementia.
A wonderful facilitiy - the rooms are well furnished, and the communal areas are well laid out and friendly. The staff are all helpful and understanding. My mum is very settled and very well looked after.
My later wife spent almost a year in the home, and the care she received was second to none. All staff were so caring and had time for all residents. You had to see the love and patience at first hand to understand. All this was under sometimes very difficult circumstances as they had to understand each resident's needs and did so with such care and understanding. My wife passed away there a little while ago, and I recently visited to say thank you to everyone, and it was just like visiting a happy community with new residents who received the same care as when I was visiting my wife.
What a delightful environment for my mum to live in. Caring staff and always helpful. The environment has been developed to create a welcoming indoor/outdoor feel. All fittings and furniture are of the highest quality, and Mum could not be more valued.
I always enjoy visiting my mother at St Catherine's. Mum is settled and happy here. The staff are always cheerful and welcoming, and the atmosphere is really friendly and relaxed. They are always approachable and ready to listen if there are any problems. The home surroundings are beautiful and well cared for.
My mum has been a resident at St Catherine's for nearly six months. She has clearly settled in very well and is very happy and content there. We greatly appreciate the kindness and excellent care from all the staff. St Catherine's is a delightful environment, ideal for Mum and so reassuring that she is so well taken care of. Grateful thanks to everyone involved in her life at St Catherine's.
