The rate does not cover private costs such as a hairdresser fee, although a hairdresser does visit the home on a weekly basis.

This is unlike any other home in decor, approach, classes as holistic and alternative. It suits my partner as a hotel type facilities would not suit his character. The staff couldn't be more obliging and helpful always willing to listen to any suggestions or prompts!

My father has been in St Catherine's for 26 months and during this time as a family we all agree that he could not have lived in a better home which fully caters for all his needs.
All the staff are outstanding and they go above and beyond all our expectations, extremely caring and compassionate.
There
is a lovely atmosphere and the surroundings perfect for dementia residents.
Nice to spend time there and not worry leaving as my father is in good hands, which is priceless and means so much!

My husband has had the best care since coming into St Catherines Dementia Care Home. I visit him often and when I leave him I have no worries at all. The carers always encourage him to take part in all the activities which take place every day, also the entertainment they provide for them.

Warm and friendly, always feel my brother is well looked after. Always plenty of entertainment organised for the residents which they always enjoy. I have been in many care homes also with my job and I find SCD's the best by far.

My father was a resident for two years at St Catherine's and in that time he was happier than we had seen him in a long time. The staff treated him with kindness, good humour and respect, and he really felt at home there. St Catherine's is well-designed and friendly (not remotely institutionalised)
and he seemed to really fit in. The gardens in particular were a great source of joy to my father - he loved watching the birds and rabbits, and really appreciated the wonderful, seasonal planting around the buildings.
Sadly Dad died in November 2024. His end-of-life care was exemplary, and the staff could not have been kinder or more caring - not only to Dad but also towards my sister and myself whenever we were with him in his last weeks.
I'm so glad Dad came to St Catherine's. It was a wonderful place for him.

The care Mum received since coming to Saint Catherine's in June 2023 was excellent. She settled in within a few days. The facilities are great and always very clean. All the staff are amazing, they work with much compassion, patience and love. I used to love visiting Mum each week and was always made
to feel so welcome by all. I always left knowing Mum was really happy. The care mom received at her end of life was superb and I am so grateful they went above and beyond to look after her but also kept me strong. I would recommend St Catherine's.

My wife has been an early onset dementia resident at St Catherine's Dementia Care Home for one year. This has changed her life and mine too. We are both so much happier than when I was struggling to be her carer.
Yes, the building and the setting are beautiful. The thoughtfulness behind the internal
layout and decor is inspiring. It is a joyous place, truly a home from home.
More than that, all the staff are outstanding in their care, compassion, kindness, patience and devotion. They genuinely go 'above and beyond', you really feel that residents are their family, they are meticulously looked after. Everything is catered for, residents go on regular outings, help in preparing food, they interact and are stimulated, nothing is ever too much trouble.
Visiting is a heart-warming occasion, we are made to feel so welcome as part of their family. I truly believe there is no happier place for my wife to call Home.
If you're looking for a care home that genuinely cares, you have just found it.

My wife has been moved recently from another care home to St Catherine's/ The comparison is like comparing chalk to cheese.
The previous care home was a home that accepted residents with dementia.
St Catherine's is a home that is designed for patients with dementia, and the staff are trained to

My later wife spent almost a year in the home, and the care she received was second to none. All staff were so caring and had time for all residents. You had to see the love and patience at first hand to understand. All this was under sometimes very difficult circumstances as they had to understand
each resident's needs and did so with such care and understanding. My wife passed away there a little while ago, and I recently visited to say thank you to everyone, and it was just like visiting a happy community with new residents who received the same care as when I was visiting my wife.

Lee has worked in the health and social care sector since 2004. Within this time, he has covered many roles working his way up from Care Assistant and previously a Peripatetic and Turnaround Manager before becoming Home Manager at St George’s, Glenholme House and Eighton Lodge. Lee currently is the Senior Manager at our Specialist dementia homes, St Catherine’s and The Manor at St Catherine’s.


Having worked in care management for 10 years, managing his first home at the age of 24, Lee brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in residential, dementia and nursing care.


Qualifications include:
- NVQ Levels 2, 3 & 5
- Level 3 Administration of Medication
- Moving & Handling Train the Trainer
- Basic Life Support Train the Trainer

Lindsey Mckee

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2008

Lindsey's career with Wellburn started in 2008 at St Catherine's as a part-time administrator before she gradually began working shifts as a care assistant alongside her role as an administrator. Lindsey then became a full-time administrator before being promoted to Senior Support Worker at St Catherine's in 2023. In 2024, Lindsey was recently promoted to Deputy Manager of St Catherine's and The Manor at St Catherine's.


Qualifications include:
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
