Review of Glenholme House from Deborah H (Daughter of Resident) published on 7 September 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Very impressed with the care my father is receiving. Every member of the team is extremely friendly and always have smiles on their faces. Dad is treat with dignity, compassion, patience and kindness. Nothing is too much of a bother. They have a variety of daily activities that dad has been encouraged to join in and since moving in he is thriving. I can't praise the staff enough. The home is cleaned to a very high standard and has a lovely garden area for residents to sit. Dad is thoroughly enjoying all the fresh home cooked meals. Staff have also been very supportive to our family and providing regular updates

My husband had to go into care because l was going into hospital for a heart operation and because he has dementia could not look after his self. He went in expecting to be in for 8 weeks and had to stay for 20 weeks because my operation was cancelled 3 times.

He really settled well and all staff were lovely.

This form is not big enough to put down how very grateful I am for how Eddie is being cared for from Lynn, who happily greets you at reception to every single person at St Catherine's who works so hard to make sure everyone not only fully cared for but loved as well. After caring for Eddie myself for 2 years I did not look any furhter than St Catherine's as my mother had been in another Wellburn care home for 5 years and was happy and loved. Even if the staff are all busy with other residents they always remember and come back to you. I now visit my husband Eddie then go home feeling he is in good hands.

Review of Eighton Lodge from Terry M (Son of Resident) published on 27 August 2026 Submitted via Website

Dad was very weak after several hospital stays when he arrived at Eighton Lodge. From the first time the staff met him I was reassured they knew what was best for him and that has proven to be the case. He is stronger, fitter and happier, the staff are marvellous and he loves them all. It's a huge step entrusting your vulnerable parent into someone else's hands but the folk at Eighton Lodge are the best.

Review of Wellburn House from Stephen S (Son of Resident) published on 17 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mother spent just over four years in Wellburn House, and I have to say it became a proper long-term home for her. Having never wanted to be reliant on others for her care, dementia sadly took away any other option. Throughout her time at Wellburn we always felt welcome to be a part of her ongoing care and wellbeing. My mother never displayed discomfort in her surroundings, or a need to be somewhere else. From the very first days she looked calm and contented with her room and the staff looking after her. We have a great deal to thank the staff for in making my mothers time at Wellburn as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, we will always view the care home and staff as an important part of the last years of my mothers life. Thank you for the work that you do in making residents feel wanted, safe and valued in their later years.

Review of Heatherdale from Lindsey B (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
All the staff at Heatherdale are amazing. The care, consideration, love, and compassion they have shown to my mam and all our family has been incredible. I cannot fault the support we have all received throughout the two years Mam has been with them.

In addition, during Mam's final days, hours, and minutes, the kindness, dignity, and unwavering support shown to her and to our family meant more than words can express. They made an incredibly difficult time a little easier, ensuring Mam was comfortable, cared for, and surrounded by compassion until the very end. We will always be grateful for everything they did for her and for us.

Review of Glenholme House from Gill H (Daughter of Resident) published on 6 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mam has recently moved into Glenholme house (July 2026) and the care and support she has received so far is absolutely amazing!
The staff are lovely, kind and considerate to everyone, they have taken time to get to know mam without overwhelming her during the process of moving, all residents are treat as adults and activities available reflect this eg cheese and wine afternoons, quiz nights, pamper sessions, gents clubs, local walks and sometimes entertainment from outside such as singers.
The building itself feels very homely, several areas inside where residents are able to choose a smaller quiet space or interact as a larger group, there are also some lovely outdoor areas with tables and chairs to sit in the sun or to do gardening activities

It feels such a special place and mam loves it here

Lovely friendly happy staff that take pride in looking after my mother. They take time to get to know each resident individually and genuinely care for them. Only negative comment is that my mother is on the second floor and it has gotten dangerously hot in the summer. First impression is the home portrays a happy environment, Staff friendly and accommodating. Rooms clean and well maintained.
