My mother was a resident at Riverhead Hall for only 9 weeks. In her final weeks, she was well cared for by professional and caring staff. More than that, family members were cared for as well, particularly my father, who tried to visit daily. We liked that the residents living with dementia live alongside
those of more capacity. She was encouraged to join in the activities that she could and my father made welcome to help her with these where possible. There's always 'something happening' which is great. Her last days were particularly trying for us, but the staff helped us navigate this time and assisted Mum in an unobtrusive manner, tea, biscuits and even the odd meal when we needed them. Nicky's door was always open for a chat where needed and the home supported meetings with agencies efficiently - doctor, social services etc. My father has already asked how he can get his name down, as he was so pleased with the care at Riverhead Hall!

My Mother-in-law was a resident at Riverhead Hall for over 2 years. I visited her with my wife several times a week during that time. I have never encountered a higher standard of care in any other home I have visited. My wife was told about the family atmosphere Riverhead creates and that is so true.
The high standard of care afforded to my Mother-in-law was also extended to us, everyone was so supportive, which made the difficult journey we took as a family, through her dementia, slightly easier to cope with.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, whatever the time of day or night. The extensive activities on offer really helped in the early stages and we found taking part in the dementia training for families that was offered most useful and informative.
In the final stages of my Mother-in-laws life we felt very supported, all the staff made that time so much easier to cope with and we were comforted by the compassion and love that was shown to all of us.

Both my dear mum and stepfather were residents. I live abroad and don't have siblings so it was so important for me to have communication with the home and them. The staff went above and beyond to provide this. I can't emphasise enough the most wonderful care they received. Mum had Parkinsons and was
bedridden but she was so well cared for and loved it melted my heart. If and when I ever need care this is where I would want to be.

My Dad went for a month's respite into this beautiful care home.
You are greeted at the door with a lovely smile from a caring member of staff.
The rooms are well appointed, comfy beds and en suites.
Food is plentiful and served to a high standard by staff.
The residents can also go into a lovely
peaceful garden, with plenty of seating to enjoy the nice summer weather.
There is also daily entertainment, done by a lovely lady, who is loved by all the residents.

My Dad has been a resident at Riverhead Hall for around 5 months. He has dementia and had also suffered a stroke. The difficult decision to move him to a care home was soon made easy. I can truly say, the minute I walked into the home, I knew he'd be well looked after. It's a beautiful building with
lovely grounds. The communal rooms and bedrooms are clean and well presented. The staff are absolutely outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble, they are friendly, informative and attentive in all the right measures. They already feel like family to me. He settled immediately. The entertainment/activities are very varied and inclusive for all. My Mum has recently gone in for respite and settled well straight away. She feels pampered and cared for and looked and felt so much better even after only 2 days. I can finally sleep easy knowing they are both truly cared for in every way. I highly recommend - no way could I have provided the quality of care myself. Thank you all.

Since my dad moved in this January I have been very impressed with the care they have given him. All of the staff are very friendly and do a fantastic job keeping everyone happy. I feel content that my dad is being looked after well and the home and gardens are beautiful, there is always entertainment
which is amazing who does an amazing job. As a family we are very happy with Riverhead Hall and I think my dad loves it there too. Many thanks to everyone.

This care home is excellent. My father was very unsure about staying in the beginning. After 6 weeks he is a lot more settled. All the staff are lovely and caring and the lady who does the activities each day is a wonderful woman. Can't rate this home highly enough.

Riverhead Care Home is what all care homes should be like. All the staff are friendly, smiling, and supportive and not just to the residents. It was a tough decision to admit that we could no longer care for mum at home, but after visiting the care-home we realised it would be beneficial for mum to
be part of the Riverhead family where there is always someone there for her whatever she needs. She eats all her meals. She sleeps well. She is safe. She is clean. And she still loves me.

Mum has been a resident at Riverhead for 2 years now. While she was able she enjoyed taking part in the many activities on offer and both she and any visitors she has are always made to feel like part of the Riverhead family. As mum's dementia has progressed her care has been modified and the support
offered by the staff to us, her family has never wavered. Every single member of staff go above and beyond to make mum safe, comfortable and loved. We are so glad we chose this home for her.

We have been impressed by the high standard of care at Riverhead. All staff (without exception) are incredibly caring and my dad rates them all highly. The facilities (including an excellent south facing garden) are very good and the location is exceptional. There is a great range of activities for
group involvement and one to one attention.

The staff could not be more caring & compassionate regarding their treatment of my mother who has Alzheimer's. They treat her like a member of their family and are patient and kind at all times especially when she is confused or anxious.
We trust the home to care for mum, and to let us know if they
have any concerns, or suggestions for how to make her more comfortable.
I have no hesitation in recommending Riverhead Hall to any relative wanting to ensure their family member is well looked after in a caring environment.

Dad absolutely loves the home. He loves the food and the care he gets is second to none. He is well thought of by the staff and he has a relationship with each one of them. They provide excellent care and he regularly tells me how great they are.

Riverhead Hall is in a beautiful setting, with gorgeous safe gardens for the residents and families to enjoy. The inside of the home is welcoming, bright and spotlessly clean. The individual suites are very personalised and create a home-from-home feeling, which is reflected throughout. The dining room
opens out onto the gardens and resembles a beautiful tea room. The quality and choice of food is excellent and meal times, like everything else at Riverhead Hall, are very person-centred with plenty of staff on hand to help where needed. The activities and events are excellent, there is always something going on to take part in. There are also quiet areas and space if needed. The care and activities are very person-centred with staff ensuring each person feels valued. I would give the staff 10 out of 5 if I could. Their care, devotion and skills are what makes my Mum so very happy and settled here. Staff and residents always appear happy.

Staff always friendly and helpful towards visitors and residents. Lovely gardens and patio area also communal areas always comfortable and warm. Any medical issues are dealt with immediately be it calling a doctor. Would recommend this home to anyone who is looking for somewhere for their loved one.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Home is very clean and tidy all residents are very happy. Plenty of entertainment and activities to occupy the residents if they want to join in. Beautiful gardens well kept for residents and their visitors to have a walk-in.

We are delighted we chose Riverhead Hall for my brother and were immediately taken with the friendly atmosphere, its two sitting rooms, bright, airy dining room, comfortable bedrooms, and fabulous, accessible garden.
The standard of care is very good and my brother's needs are catered for in a sensitive,
caring manner. The home is well maintained and the standard of cleanliness is very good; the meals too are of a very good standard and the cook produces lovely cakes for residents' birthdays. The manager oversees a lovely, happy workforce with the gardener, maintenance workers, catering, and laundry staff alike, interacting with the residents and joining in their activities too. The activities organiser is exceptional, planning activities for each morning and afternoon of every day with music and singers coming in a number of times a month. Riverhead provides a safe, happy, and exceptionally friendly place for my brother to live and into which he settled with ease.

The moment my father was welcomed at Riverhead Hall, I knew we had found the right place for him to be cared for. His needs are very well met. Staff have taken the time to get to know him in order to make his stay more personal and comfortable. We as a family are welcomed at Riverhead at any time of
day and have spent quality time enjoying the various activities and entertainment with him, allowing us to have cherished memories. The online page is a fabulous way for us to see him enjoying the company of other residents when we are not there. Every member of staff is approachable. The feeling within Riverhead is extremely homely and nothing is too much trouble. The residents are entertained with lots of activities and different areas to sit and a beautiful garden. I rate Riverhead as outstanding and would recommend them to everyone!

My grandma who has lived at Riverhead Hall for the last 3 years has received the best care and is very happy here, all the staff team are very kind and caring with my grandma, and are very patient with her also treat her with dignity and respect! Wouldn't want my grandma to be anywhere else.

My mum has been in the home for 2 years now and I cannot fault the place the staff, rooms, food, entertainment are all really friendly and helpful. Mum has settled in lovely and it was the best decision for her to come to Riverhead Hall Care Home.
