I just feel the lounge could have more seating for all the occupants and that showers could be more regular. All in all the staff are fantastic and have a lot of patience as some of the residents can be quite difficult

For me the location of Ryton Towers Care Home couldn't be better. The staff and management are friendly, courteous and helpful and as far as I am aware the staff treat the residents with dignity and respect. There are lots of activities for those residents who are able to take part.

Staff work hard for the residents, most of whom are absolute angels who communicate so well with everyone in their care. There are many activities arranged within Ryton Towers, as well as day trips away, which are so enjoyed by those residents who are able to partake. When residents are difficult
or distressed, the staff continue to treat with dignity and respect. The gardens are beautifully kept and used by residents and visitors regularly. I would recommend Ryton Towers to anyone who require such care.

Home from home is how my family member is made to feel on a daily basis.
The home has a lovely, homely atmosphere, and nothing is ever a bother for the staff. Sitting out in the garden makes our visits extra special.

My mother-in-law is a resident we live in York so visit once a month but ring the home on a regular weekly basis. Mum seems very happy. The home is very clean, there are lots of activities arranged both in the home and trips out. The staff are very welcoming both over the phone and when we visit, there
is a regular team of staff and low turnover positive.

Choosing Ryton Towers as a Care Home for my relative was definitely the right decision for my family. Dropping him off there for the first time was one of the most difficult things I've ever had to do, but I needn't have worried. As a dementia patient he received memory testing and his score actually
improved after moving into Ryton Towers.


My relative became noticeably more secure and much less anxious as he settled in. He joined in lots of activities which we had not expected him to do.


It is always easy to find a member of staff if you have any queries, and they all seem to know how my relative is doing at any given time. We are always kept fully informed.


A few years down the line his condition had deteriorated significantly, but he is still happy and the staff are still able to care for him very well. We could not ask for more.

My Mam has been in Ryton Towers for 2 months now and has settled really well. She has a great relationship with all staff who are all very caring, sympathetic, happy and professional in their roles. My aunt loves the "hotel" that she is staying in. The difference in her is amazing, since she has become a resident she is more outgoing and sociable. The staff are exceptional and all take care and time to cater to the needs of my aunt. She has decorated her room with flowers, butterflies, and ornaments
from home, with lots of family photos on the wall.
They have activities twice daily with regular outings to the local community.
Ryton Towers has given us as a family peace of mind knowing that she is safe and very well cared for.

Mam was adamant she would never go into a care home, ever. As her dementia got worse we opted to send her for respite which she was looking forward to. She loved it. When the time came (May 2024) the only option for her continued safety was care. She was so excited to be going back to Ryton Towers and
has had a fantastic experience since that date. This removed so much pressure and guilt from me and seeing Mam so relaxed and happy is wonderful. It certainly has given her a new lease of life. Every member of staff I have met is very professional and in general, the whole atmosphere is friendly and inviting, with always lots of activities if Mam chooses to join in. She did not at first but now is there for most things. Loves the days out.
The management team at Ryton Towers keeps me informed in between my visits to see her. I thank you for taking such good care of my precious, funny and delightful Mam.

My dad was sent for respite following breaking his hip from hospital. From the minute he got there he was treated well. I was so upset leaving Dad but was assured he would be good and recommended leaving him to settle in. I was constantly on the phone checking on him and was reassured especially when
I did see him. He does activities and has been out in the community. Something I never thought I would see.

My dad is really well looked after. The staff are wonderful and make Ryton Towers a place of safety. I can visit whenever I want and am always received well, especially by the office staff. The carers are amazing and appear to enjoy their job, treating the residents with kindness, care and dignity.

This is a lovely home, the staff and managers are really friendly and caring - they work very hard all day. My dad really enjoys the food and snacks. He enjoys listening to music so he loves it when they have live bands and singers on. He also loves going out for a drive and has been out on the minibus
a few times. It would be great if they could have their own minibus! The gardens are beautiful so it’s lovely seeing the residents outdoors enjoying the sunshine and activities. We had a lovely time at the afternoon tea on Sunday, they provided an impressive spread. Thank you so much for taking care of my dad.

Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they are always attentive towards Dad. He is in very capable hands. Dad enjoys his meals and has nothing but praise for his care at the Towers. The management team always listen to and act upon any concerns we may have and are extremely friendly. We are

Ryton Towers is brilliant. My parents moved in 2019 (Mother now sadly passed away) and we could not be happier. The standard of accommodation, care, cleanliness and food is exemplary. The carers are professional, kind, super competent and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble, both for the residents
and for their families or visitors. Most importantly, my dad loves being there. Many thanks.

Overall, the staff are friendly and welcoming. Staff are always encouraging the residents and there are always activities going on for the residents to join in with. It's a warm and friendly atmosphere. The food menus are excellent with plenty to choose from.
