Ryton Towers is brilliant. My parents moved in 2019 (Mother now sadly passed away) and we could not be happier. The standard of accommodation, care, cleanliness and food is exemplary. The carers are professional, kind, super competent and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble, both for the residents and for their families or visitors. Most importantly, my dad loves being there. Many thanks.

Staff are very friendly and caring, but most importantly, there are always a range of activities for the residents to enjoy and some of the day trips seem, to me, to be very enjoyable! If ever there is an issue relating to my mother, I am notified with prompt efficiency.

My mum has recently moved to Ryton Towers from her home in North Yorkshire. I am so grateful for the constant kindness and support from all the staff. They have enabled Mum to feel safe, secure and to settle in really well. We have been able to bring ornaments and put pictures on the wall in her room to make it feel more familiar. There is a great variety of activities running daily and though Mum doesn't join in all of these, she is regularly told what's happening. The dining area is lovely with a great variety of food and the whole home is kept beautifully clean and tidy. The staff are always ready with smiles, have positive attitudes and are always discreet. The staff have been happy to listen to myself and Mum and make suggestions to help her adapt and be more comfortable. I really can't thank the staff enough!

Overall Experience

We had such a happy visit yesterday to see my cousin, the staff were so very helpful. Unfortunately, I did not get the name of the care worker, but the lady could not have been more helpful, bringing in an extra chair for my husband who has mobility problems, and taking a photograph of the three of us with him, we were unable to visit him on his actual Birthday but she kindly promised to have the birthday cake cut with other residents on Sunday when it was his birthday. As we had travelled a long way the lady also extended our visit and made it possible for him to go for his lunch a little late. She obviously was a very caring lady and had an excellent relationship with him. We all felt happy and reassured that he was in the right place and receiving excellent support and care. Thank you.

I would not hesitate to recommend this care home. My mother is looked after so well, giving my family peace of mind. She has recently had a stay in hospital and since her return, the staff have gone the extra mile in welcoming her back and rehabilitating her and reassuring us. A lovely, friendly, caring home.

From initial enquiry and unannounced visit to collect literature, all staff have been professional, polite, friendly, courteous and very welcoming. I was extremely impressed by the speed at which my mum was assessed and accepted into the home and the preparation of the room and placement of personal items. Her room is clean comfortable, warm and cosy and it is very reassuring to be able to visit daily and see her safe, secure, clean and well taken care of. Many varied daily activities and beautiful restaurant.

Overall Experience
Mother has lived in the Towers since January this year. She moved in during COVID, and I was convinced that she wouldn't settle (before dementia took her, she always said going into care was her worst nightmare). However, due to the persistence and care of the ladies at Ryton Towers, she is now happily settled.
My mother is not a joiner and prefers her own company, again the staff are always trying to get her involved in activities, and to my amazement, she is regularly seen on the social media page enjoying trip's out and doing crafts and flower arranging.

I cannot praise the staff enough; they always have time to speak to me about my mother either over the phone or face to face. She has improved dramatically in her time in care, and I'm incredibly grateful to all involved in her care.

It's great to hear that your mother is comfortable in her new home at Ryton Towers, and we are happy to hear she has improved so much since coming into our care home. Our staff work incredibly hard to make sure each and every resident is having the best care and experience possible, they will be happy to hear your feedback - we will pass on your kind message to the rest of the team.

Overall Experience
This home is absolutely fantastic. Mother has been there 12-months now and has settled in straight away, despite all the Covid issues we were all dealing with.
Staff are great, always happy to talk to you and keep you up to date.
There is a brilliant Facebook page that keeps us updated with brilliant pictures of the daily activities. That is a godsend and means I don't bother the staff for updates as you can see it all daily.
The activities though are one of the best things, and my mother is always in the middle of things - I think that is what has made the transition to care so much easier for her - she is occupied every day with something, and that makes me happy to see her happy.
Visiting has been sorted despite being so hard during Covid as there is the secure pod and a beautiful garden setting when that was allowed.

Just a fantastic place all around.

Review from John F (Son of Resident) published on 29 March 2021 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Ryton Towers has a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in the front door, the staff are more like friends, sadly we have not been able to do this for the last 12 months. To get around this Ryton Towers has set up systems for relatives to be able to keep in touch by phone and video calls with relatives and by zoom calls with management and staff. The home has increased the amount of entertainment and activities during the lockdown to offset the lack of visiting options. Wellburn Care set up visitor pods very early so that as much contact as possible could be maintained. Phone contact with management and staff is very easy and welcomed. I would say that “communication and care” are paramount in the minds of the home and the company. My mother has felt very settled and cared for these last 6 years and I am confident that her needs are being well met.

Both Mum and Dad are residents of the home for over a year now and I have nothing but praise for the way the staff care for mum and dad. I live over 300 miles away from them and I know that I can be assured that the care that they receive is of the highest standard and to be honest I couldn’t do anything better at home myself. Thank you to the managers and their carers and everyone else in the team.
