My mam went to Ryton Towers for two weeks she was very down and quiet before she went, not eating or drinking a lot. Due to covid I was unable to go any further than the entrance lobby or visit her but I rang every day to ask if she was ok the staff would give me a daily update on how she was doing and answer any questions I had. She was in isolation for most of her stay but the staff were in and out of her room asking if she needed anything drinks snacks and asked her to do some activities with them, on her second week she was allowed in the main day room with others and took part in pamper time and other things. When she came home she was more cheery eating and drinking more (even the ambulance driver commented how full of beans she was). I would definitely recommend Ryton Towers as I had no worries while she was in their care as could relax and recharge my batteries.

I cannot fault this care home. They go above and beyond to make life perfect for both residents and families. Despite my father having dementia, he has thrived here and so has my Mum despite them being apart. I have had relatives in care homes prior to this and although I thought they were excellent, this home is far better than any of them. Well done Ryton Towers, you deserved one mighty pat on the back. Five Star care.

Ryton Towers has been my Mother's home for almost six years, where she has a lovely bright room with garden views and many of her own things around her. She loves her room. She is cared for with kindness and respect, with a real awareness of her physical, mental and emotional well being. Any health issues she has had have been quickly spotted and dealt with. She is able to make choices, to enjoy her own company or join with others. The activities are too many to list here but there’s something for everyone. Since the start of lockdown, the whole team has been wonderful, working extra hard to keep residents safe, healthy and happy. We have been informed every step of the way in emails, weekly zoom meetings, and on the website. The company has stepped up from the start, with staffing and facilities e.g. the garden pod and family communications. My Mother has her own Ipad so we have been able to talk to her very regularly. Thanks to carers who help with this. Thanks to the whole team!

Our elderly relative has been at Ryton Towers for about 18 months now. Whenever we have visited the staff have been lovely. There is a very kind and caring atmosphere in the home. Ryton Towers is scrupulously clean. Visiting is easy and there are several areas within the home where friends and relatives can chat to their relative over a cup of tea or coffee. The home puts on lots of activities as well as personal services for the residents. During the early part of the Covid crisis, the home had to battle the NHS over its discharge policy in order to keep other residents in the home safe. I think they've done an amazing job in very challenging circumstances. The home posted photos of our relative on her birthday a few days ago with presents from the home and a cake with candles. I have never seen anything other than care and compassion from the staff which means a lot to us.

My husband stayed at Ryton Towers for a week's respite. Although he had to isolate in his room due to Covid restrictions, he had a very enjoyable time. The staff ensured that someone was always 'popping' in so he didn't feel isolated. All staff were amazing and nothing was too much bother for them. Can't praise them enough and would not hesitate to use for next respite stay.

My Mum spent the last 3 years of her life in Ryton Towers. I couldn't have asked for better care. The staff seemed to genuinely care and spent time taking an interest in her. Mum loved the outings and craft days. Other favourites were when local children visited to sing or to just sit quietly watching the varied wildlife in the beautiful gardens. Every season had different decorations. I think if you placed a parent in Ryton Towers you'd have less worry and less guilt and you'd know they were taken care of with dignity. Thank you to all of the staff, especially one of my Mum's carers.

Brilliant care home, staff are amazing, they can't do enough to care; the way they have looked after residents during COVID. The entertainment they provide at the home, no expense spared. The food is fab. The care home is beautiful inside, they put money back into the care home. Thank you staff for everything.

Having been unable to visit for so many months due to the coronavirus lockdown, I was delighted to see my father-in-law in the very practical pod you have installed in the garden. He was in fine spirits and could not praise your staff enough for how they have coped in such a difficult time. It is a view totally shared by me.

I have been extremely impressed by everyone at Ryton Towers throughout my contact with them but particularly throughout the recent and continuing Covid-19 emergency. The staff have been great and caring. The leadership very effective and above all my mum has felt safe and secure. I think the new visitor pod is an excellent idea. They also enabled my family to have zoom calls with mum so she saw everyone from Sweden to Manchester - Fantastic!

My parents moved into Ryton Towers in October 2019. They have been very happy and well looked after. There is regular entertainment, even during lockdown they have had singers in the car park, while residents are in the garden/gazebo.

I came for a 1-day visit and liked it so much that I am still here after I arrived in August 2019.
The staff are friendly and soon became my 1st home even though my flat is only 5 minutes away.

My room is excellent and for its function is a very adequate size. I thoroughly enjoyed the trips to the garden centre. Sound room, meal, singing and shops. The visiting singers and activities are great. The staff are caring and food is excellent and varied.

This is a fabulous care home. They have things going on a lot through the day, singers, activities. At Xmas, they had lovely trees, amazing food, buffets. The residents are very well looked after. My dad is in this care home and loves it there. The meals are lovely a different menu every day. But the staff are brilliant they work very hard and nothing is a problem. The rooms are lovely warm and cosy. It is very clean, no smells excellent.

Refurbishment very impressive but is it patient and friendly? Very little room for visitors, staff or patient in the sitting room.

We're so glad you are impressed with our recent refurbishment project at Ryton Towers. Now The Pantry is open, there is more space and an added café for our visitors to help themselves to tea and coffee, and a quiet space to relax. The care home is situated in a delightful old residential house in the village of Royton with 40 residents. A number of activities take place. There are extensions at present being undertaken to add to facilities to improve amenities in keeping with the age of the building. A charming house and home and well kept, homely and enjoyed by all.
