My husband felt safe and well cared for whilst in Garden House. He found the staff sympathetic kind and caring and importantly friendly. I agree entirely with this and found everyone supportive of me. Senior staff were very approachable and helpful. They were clearly aware of what was going on and involved. Any issue that arose was dealt with.

My friend is 'end of life' so I wanted to go on and sit with her a while.
The room was so calm and lovely. It was extremely clean and cosy.
There was calming music playing and the bed looked comfortable.
My friend looked and comfortable, clean and calm.
I let the manager Freda know how lovely it felt and it's such a comfort to a family or friend to experience this level of care.

I'm not sure I can find the right words to express our thanks, gratitude, appreciation for the wonderful care and love you gave Mum over the past 7 years. You were her 2nd family Mum didn't settle very well when she came in for respite care but once it was time for permanent care and Garden House became her new home. There was a marked difference in her persona, the sparkle in her eyes returned. She loved having people around her, loved the musical entertainment and the animals (fearless handling some of those creepy crawlies...if only she knew. New experiences none the less). Dad was immensely grateful to see Mum so settled, loved & cared for, visiting whenever he wanted yet able to leave knowing she was looked after & wasn't distressed. My siblings & I are also extremely appreciative for the sheer love & dedication you gave um and the support & friendliness you showed us all over the years. We are profoundly thankful to you all!

We recently lost our father who had been a resident of Garden House for nearly a year. Words are not enough to express our gratitude to all members of staff, carers, cleaners, chefs and management who over those 10 months made Dad's life as comfortable as anyone could have. From staff popping their heads around his door and saying a simple hello, how are you today, to the full-on care seeing to his everyday needs. Dad was given the care, attention and empathy with staff going above and beyond, with management giving support after our father's passing to me which was a great help. A great team.

Walking through the doors of the care home, you get that feeling of a good place, light airy, staff that are so polite, and very respectful of their residents.
The management run the home so very well, you can see that the staff and managers are busy, but are happy.
Mum spent the duration of her last years here, and was so comfortable.
Getting to know the staff on a personal level, is also a great comfort.
Visiting regularly, we were always asked whether we needed anything, and was everything ok, which is another great comfort to us and the family.
The care home catered very well for the residents in respect of entertainment, there was always something going on.
The level of care given here goes over and above.
We were very very happy with Mum's stay here.
The management and staff should be so proud of the good work that is achieved here.
Excellent work!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful review of Garden House Care Home. We're thrilled to hear that our home exceeded your expectations and provided a high level of care and comfort to your mum during her stay with us. We're particularly grateful for your kind words about our staff, and we'll be sure to pass these on to the rest of the team at Garden House.
Mum's absolutely thriving at Garden House. She always looks happy and well cared for and she is encouraged to get involved with the activities that she is interested in. Well done and thank you to all the staff.
My mum has only been in Garden House for about a month, but my first impressions are that the staff are kind, caring and frequently go that extra mile to deliver person-centred care. My other half is an experienced carer in another local care home and is very impressed by the way Garden House is run; especially seeing how involved the manager is in delivering care to the residents on a day-to-day basis. The place is bright and cheerful. My mum is impressed with the size of her room and it’s lovely outlook. We are hoping she’ll enjoy many happy times there.
I'm still impressed by the level and standard of care for my wife at Garden House after two years. The home is always welcoming and clean, the staff kindly, so patient, cheerful and compassionate and the management excellent. There is no question that the residents are well looked after, with complete respect for their dignity and needs. Recently, I have joined my wife regularly for evening meals and even my vegan diet is catered for. As a family, we're so pleased we chose this home for my wife's care. Well done to the manager and all the staff!
My mum has settled very well into Garden House. The staff are brilliant with all residents, despite their varying needs of care. Mum really enjoys the activities and is a willing participant in anything musical. Her room is lovely with plenty of room and an en-suite bathroom. I cannot believe how easy she has settled into her new surroundings, that is through the kind and caring staff. Well done Garden House.
The manager and her team are fantastic, a perfect place for Mum. Garden House are constantly pro-active, caring and compassionate, always with the resident's best interests a the care of what they do. Activities, ideas, the inclusion of family and advice are always available for questions or advice on Mum's health.
We greatly appreciate your kind words and are thrilled to hear that you've had such a positive experience with our team at Garden House. Our residents' well-being and best interests are at the heart of everything we do, and it's wonderful to know that this approach has made a positive impact for your mum.
We are going through a difficult period with Mum's dementia and overall care but the home has been excellent in supporting my mum. We have held a series of meetings and made some changes to the room, her routines and overall interaction with the staff.
Thank you so much for sharing your feedback of Garden House. We understand that dealing with a loved one's dementia can be incredibly challenging, and we're glad to hear that the changes implemented are helping to support your mother. We will pass on your kind words to the rest of the team at Garden House.
Arrival parking is satisfactory. Security on arrival is always two door security with a staff member required for access. First impressions are very good. Décor and cleanliness are excellent. The room of the resident was very clean and adequate with good security. The resident always appears happy with a big smile and appears healthy and well-fed. Overall - excellent.
I have visited my brother in this home for two years on a monthly basis. Having experienced visiting care homes / nursing homes on a professional basis, I feel qualified to comment on this home. I found the home to be of a very high standard of care. Entering the home leaves one with a feeling of calmness with soft music and lighting. The caring approach to the residents is one of a gentle, loving, personal touch. My brother is always cared for physically and appears very happy.
