My mother suddenly died on 20/11/19. I wish to God that she'd been at the Garden House from the beginning of her care. The manager and her staff are simply marvellous. My mum was content and happy having been let down by a previous care home.

I cared for my mum for 12 and a half years, she needed 24 hour care, social services let her down and I couldn't cope. Thank you Garden House.

My dad was extremely well looked after in Garden House. The staff were always very helpful and cared for Dad, attending to all his needs. The care he was given meant that as a family, we could relax knowing Dad was being looked after by a kind and compassionate team.

My mother-in-law spent the last few months of her life in Garden House.
The family were delighted with the care she received. We had peace of mind that she was in a safe, caring environment.

The staff were lovely and we were impressed with the range of activities provided. Nothing was too much trouble to make her happy. Truly excellent!

The care home is very friendly and easy going for visiting etc. One suggestion to make it even better is a separate visitors lounge away from a TV and maybe in good weather, the residents should be encouraged to sit in the garden. Always a very positive and happy atmosphere.

My wife was a resident for almost three years and the quality of care was always excellent. The staff were kind and considerate and were willing to help with any care that my wife needed.

The home was always spotlessly clean and tidy with all washing done and put away. My family and I have no hesitation in recommending Garden House Residential Home.

Mum was in Garden House for 3 years until her death this month and from the day she moved there, she was treated with dignity, care and love. I was always informed about any changes in her health and I was given as much support as Mum was during her trips to hospital. Despite having Alzheimers, Mum blossomed with the activities presented to her, even taking up knitting again. Whenever I went to visit her, Mum was always happy and if I couldn't get a smile then a member of staff usually could.

Garden House is a true home from home in all aspects and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

My mother is very well looked after.
All the staff know her by name and she is treated with respect and dignity. The staff are friendly and helpful. Occasionally, there is entertainment laid on for the residents and my mum loves going on outings.
I visited last month when the residents and friends/family were invited to a Strawberry tea.

Although there is internet connection in the office, it would be nice to access it in my mum's room when I visit as a way of keeping in touch with family.

My brother had been placed in a number of care homes before we were recommended Garden House. We found this care home way ahead in every department of the previous home tried. (Well done).

My friend has been in Garden House for 14 months. She is really happy there and constantly tells me how good all the staff are. I visit fairly regularly and have always been made to feel very welcome. All the staff are calm and helpful, nothing is too much bother for them, and they are willing to help in any way they can. I find the staff really listen to the resident's family and friends when they are talking to them. They have an excellent social programme for those who want to use it. All are encouraged to join in. The premises are immaculate, as are all the residents. All the staff show great respect for privacy and encourage as much independence as possible.

I must emphasise at this point that I do not have do not have dementia but I am severely disabled and am not able to look after myself. For this reason, I go to Garden House to enable my wife, who cares for me to have a break. I have been to Garden House three times now and have found them very helpful.

I have had visitors who have commented on the good standard of the accommodation. I won't consider going anywhere else.
