Very caring and went above and beyond to keep us informed and up to date with Mum's condition. When Mum passed away, they showed such compassion and kindness which brought us all comfort.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff at Garden House. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them. They really are the best, whenever I phone my Mam, they always make every effort to ensure I have contact with her.

Nice location near the beach and easy to push mum along the prom. Mum does not like the food and the portions are very small but her room is nice the staff interacts with her. She likes to stay in her room and it would be nice if they could provide one-to-one activities, but like everywhere else, there
is a shortage of staff.

My mum has only been in Garden House for a few weeks but the change in her has been fantastic. She is always smiling when we go in and the staff have been brilliant in getting Mum to take part in activities, including a lovely day out at some gardens.

She is always content in her own little world. She is clean and tidy and well presented. She enjoys taking part in the activities. The staff treat her well and attend to all her needs. As a member of family, I’m always met by friendly staff who are always happy to help with any query I may have.

My father has been in the care of Garden House now since May 2021, he has vascular dementia and after having a dreadful experience in a care home following a period of respite and my mum passing not long after I was extremely concerned about how he would cope as he then needed 24-hour care.
I need
not have worried as I can't praise Garden House higher. My father having this awful disease can be difficult but the staff there are excellent, they have got to know him and what he likes/dislikes, and their patience is unlimited!
I'm not allowed to add names here, but I have to give special praise to a lady who I can't thank enough for all the kindness and understanding she shows my father.
It's such a relief to know that my father is being well looked after.

Since her arrival at Garden House my cousin’s general health has improved due to the care and attention she has received. My mum moved into Garden House just under a year ago, she had fallen and broken her hip and because of dementia was unable to return to her own home. From my very first phone call (covid restrictions meant, no viewing of the room) the manager gave me confidence that mum would be well looked after. How
right she was, mum has settled in well and made friends with both residents and staff. Everyone is caring and it's all the little extras that make mum feel part of "one big special family". The team at Garden House has turned a very hard family decision into a very happy outcome. Thank you all.

Care of residents is really good, kind caring staff so happy residents.
Recovering from Covid restriction, which they have coped with very well can only improve the friendliness.

When the time came for our nana to move into residential care we were strict about finding the right place for her. Having worked in care for a good number of years myself and a few of the family had the experience of good and not so good care homes so we took our time before deciding upon a place.
We are so pleased we chose Garden House. Nana has settled in really well and the staff really go above and beyond to give the residents the best quality of life. It is obvious that they really care. Nana has always been someone who was reluctant to join in but it's so lovely seeing her taking part in the many activities on offer and looking genuinely happy.

We have experienced the best of care for Aunt, a special lady. Attention to detail in all walls, good communication from all staff at all times. From the moment of entering Garden House, we knew it was right. My father spent four very happy years here. First few years enjoying the many outings and daily entertainment on offer and staff banter. He thrived in the environment, and although we visited, he quickly made friends and new relationships
with the staff and residents. Life was good. This last year he became frail, and his needs changed. The staff and managers should be proud of themselves. They work so hard, especially in these exceptional times.

I cannot speak highly enough of the standard of care provided by Wellburn Care Homes and Garden House in particular. The standard of cleanliness is excellent. The facilities and activities are of the highest quality but most importantly they care about the residents.

My mum sadly passed away in July. Mum's care was outstanding in many ways. None more than when she was on palliative care. All staff were so caring and loving towards Mum and her family. It made Mums passing a little more easier to bear. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Garden House to anyone.

My mother suddenly died on 20/11/19. I wish to God that she'd been at the Garden House from the beginning of her care. The manager and her staff are simply marvellous. My mum was content and happy having been let down by a previous care home.
I cared for my mum for 12 and a half years, she needed 24
hour care, social services let her down and I couldn't cope. Thank you Garden House.

My dad was extremely well looked after in Garden House. The staff were always very helpful and cared for Dad, attending to all his needs. The care he was given meant that as a family, we could relax knowing Dad was being looked after by a kind and compassionate team.

My mother-in-law spent the last few months of her life in Garden House.
The family were delighted with the care she received. We had peace of mind that she was in a safe, caring environment.
The staff were lovely and we were impressed with the range of activities provided. Nothing was too much trouble

Maureen soon discovered that care was the career path she wanted to pursue, and started working for Wellburn Care Homes in 2002. She has since progressed through the company to management.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2005

Freda has worked within the care industry for fourteen years, the last thirteen of which she has spent at Garden House. She started at Garden House as a Care Assistant and Activities Coordinator. Freda has since progressed within Wellburn Care, first to a Team Leader position, before being promoted to Deputy Manager.
