At Eighton Lodge, staff the importance of recreational activities, and with a dedicated activities coordinator who plans each day based on the lifestyle preferences and abilities of the residents, there is a full programme of events available, both in and out of the home.
Also, set in the beautiful grounds of Eighton Lodge is The Manor, a groundbreaking home dedicated to young onset dementia. Whilst all Wellburn care homes, including Eighton Lodge, provide dementia care, The Manor focuses on providing age-appropriate care for those aged 65 and under who are living with young onset dementia, and whose needs are vastly different compared to older people with the condition.
The Manor at Eighton Lodge is the only dedicated young onset home in its region, and has been specifically designed to help each client achieve the perfect balance between independence and support. Its spaces include 8 bedroom suites, a fully fitted, dementia-sensitive kitchen, a decked terrace and dining area, and an exclusive private garden.
The Manor offers day care, respite stays and permanent placements. The day care services operate seven days a week and run through from 8am to 6pm, with entirely flexible pick-up and drop-off times depending on your needs.

It gives me the greatest of pleasure to share our experience of my husbands recent respite stay at Eighton Manor. The ongoing pressures and increasing exhaustion of caring for my husband brought me to contact The Manor to request a weeks respite. From my initial contact I was met with incredible support and encouragement from the Manager, which is exactly what I needed at that time. My husbands respite was a resounding success. He regarded it as a holiday, while receiving the very best care. The staff demonstrate every skill you would hope to see, while tailoring their skills to meet the physical, emotional, social and dietary requirements to the individuals needs and wants. Their communication skills were excellent, so I felt I was fully informed of my husbands days and nights while he was away from me. And finally, the greatest recommendation came from my husband when I went to collect him, when he said he could stay longer. That is a true sign of excellent care in my opinion.

My Mother and Father in law came to Eighton Lodge in August 2025 following a period of respite in July . From the very first day the staff have been fantastic with them both, making them feel at home and welcome. This place is more like a family home than care facility. The staff are all so kind and caring and genuinely care for all of the residents and families. My father in law sadly passed away 3 weeks ago and the care and compassion shown to him and my mother in law and been outstanding . He was cared for with kindness and dignity and the continued support they are providing to my mother in law makes a difficult time easier knowing she is surrounded by such a caring, dedicated team.

Sadly, my grandpa passed away recently, but he did so under the most compassionate and attentive care we could have hoped for. Every single member of staff went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and treated with dignity, and the support they've shown my grandma during this difficult time has been outstanding.
She absolutely loves living there and truly feels it's her home. The staff are always kind, friendly, and welcoming - they greet us with a smile, offer drinks, and show such genuine care not just for the residents but also for family members who visit. It's so lovely to see the residents taken out on trips and doing activities, and they even took my grandma to get her nails done to cheer her up.
