My time here has been very happy with good and friendly staff who are lovely.
Thank you so much for your lovely review - we are so glad you have enjoyed your time with us at Eighton Lodge!
After experiencing a large chain care home, Eighton Lodge is a breath of fresh air. Absolutely fabulous, the staff are all amazing, very caring, attentive and passionate. Nothing is too much trouble. The home is very clean, with lovely gardens too. The food is also excellent. Mum has settled in very well. Thank you Eighton lodge.
Thank you Jo, for all the positive feedback! We are always working so hard to make Eighton Lodge the best home it can be for our residents, so it's really lovely to see the efforts seen and appreciated. The staff will be thrilled to read your kind words, we will pass the message on!
My friend has a variety of complex health requirements. He has been hospitalised on numerous occasions recently and as a result, is very frail and requires 24-hour care. The management care and ancillary staff are always approachable, compassionate and supportive. Even though staff are extremely busy they make time for everyone - always with a smile. When I leave my friend after a visit I feel that he is in safe hands. Eighton Lodge is the care home with the big heart!
We are so glad to hear such positive feedback, it's great to hear your friend is happy here at Eighton Lodge! Our staff will be pleased to hear your kind words, we will pass your message on to the rest of the team.
I have worked in palliative care and a care home also. But I am surprised how this care home is still allowed to operate to government guidelines. No supervision on the first floor and I personally cried listening to a resident pleading for help and was totally ignored when the staff member passed her door. Please don’t put your loved ones in this home or Wellburn Care. They are a disgrace to the care sector.
I visited mam five days a week for four hours at a time. These hours increased to five to six plus as the issues escalated and our concerns grew. I met with the area manager and voiced all the issues and my concerns but even after that meeting issues still continued. I received my response on the 11th of November at 9.56 am. I was given reassurances that Wellburn was taking appropriate action with the staff involved and that communications took place with the staff advising them that immediate improvements in standards were required. That same day I received the response I arrived at mam's room to still find more issues. Mam ended up in hospital with pneumonia, dehydrated with low potassium and sodium levels. I called the GP on the day.
As you know, we've been in communication with you and other family members in relation to the comments you have made both on this site and in person. It's unfortunate, extremely disappointing, but ultimately out of our control, when someone takes the decision to post comments like these....
I cannot wait to rescue my mother from this home and Wellburn Care in general. The manager is brilliant but has no support from the above management who to them it’s a business and a cash cow to them. It's entirely your prerogative if you are happy to not listen to my warning but good luck if you don’t.
We thank you for your feedback, we have investigated these concerns outside of this forum and have provided you with a response.
My mother is very well looked after. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. I have stopped worrying about her and know she is safe. She is always clean and tidy. She loves the staff and always praises them.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of Eighton Lodge! I will pass your comments onto the team.
It is the first time I have had a visit with my granny in a pod. The staff were lovely, gardens are beautiful. The pod is a fantastic idea.

Eighton Lodge is a very nice care facility, it is a bright and modern building with fantastic gardens and lovely views. Our relatives (resident since 2019) room is on the ground floor so we have been able to do window visits during the pandemic although the pod is a great addition we prefer window visits. The staff are very pleasant and welcoming especially the deputy manager who will help and answer any queries we may have. The activities are very well run and the food always looks wholesome and inviting. We would recommend Eighton Lodge.

Staff are very caring. Lovely building and gardens for residents. So many activities - shown on social media so relatives can see, much appreciated. Pod in place so we can safely visit relatives. Lots of lovely extras for residents - staff arranged for residents to face mugs made with their family photos displayed on them.

I find the care of my wife is generally good. Since she has been moved to a downstairs room she is more involved with activities as she has had a couple of pictures taken and uploaded to the website. Due to lockdown, I feel upset when I am due for my video call and it does not arrive when pre-booked. Why can't the staff ring me when there is a delay to stop me worrying. There needs to be better communication and gentleman in charge. Not enough activities.
The carers are fantastic with Gran. Her room is clean. Some communication with family could be improved but I understand that the staff are so busy.

My mother has been a resident of Eighton Lodge for 2 1/2 years. As a family, we are all happy with the care she has and is receiving. The home is a beautiful building and very nicely decorated. The gardens are lovely and kept very tidy, my mother loved her garden. The staff are always pleasant and friendly. I don't think we could have picked a better home for my mother as she seems happy there.

Eighton Lodge is warm and welcoming and has a lovely atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A well-maintained care home inside and outside. It's nice that the residents mix together. Plenty of activities for the residents to join in. Love seeing the photos on Facebook. Lovely to know that your loved one is safe and well looked after. A big thank you to all the staff for what they do for our loved ones, especially this year.
