My wife has been in Heatherdale 1 year and half, I cannot thank them enough for the genuine love, care and consideration they give to my wife. The management and all staff are always there for me when I visit they always have a smile and a friendly chat, they show understanding and empathy towards myself

My husband felt safe and well cared for whilst in Garden House. He found the staff sympathetic kind and caring and importantly friendly. I agree entirely with this and found everyone supportive of me. Senior staff were very approachable and helpful. They were clearly aware of what was going on and involved.
Any issue that arose was dealt with.

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and the care that is given at Heatherdale. It is welcoming and inclusive, a real home from home. Nothing is too much trouble. My step father has challenges and this home is meeting them with care and respect, not only for him but also the wider family.

On arrival at care home we are always greeted by friendly staff. Everyone says hello or goodbye. If there are any issues with family member we are told about it on arrival, or get a phone call its its a day we don't visit.

I visited my close friend yesterday at Garden House 10/2/26
My friend is 'end of life' so I wanted to go on and sit with her a while.
The room was so calm and lovely. It was extremely clean and cosy.
There was calming music playing and the bed looked comfortable.
My friend looked and comfortable,clean
and calm.
I let the manager Freda know how lovely it felt and it's such a comfort to a family or friend to experience this level of care.
I want to add all the staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Respite experience has been great. The staff have made mum feel welcomed and safe and happy she has been encouraged to get involved in activities that she enjoys. Mum loved fish and chips in Whitley Bay and especially loved the arcades.

I am extremely pleased with the standard of care and facilitates at Wellburn House. The staff are very caring and have areal understanding of the resident's needs.The staff deal with difficult situations in a calm and professional way, and always protect the dignity of the residents. My mother spent nearly 3 years in Heatherdale & throughout that time she was very well looked after. All of the staff & management were very professional & when my mother deteriorated & lost the ability to walk, they were happy to keep her at the home even though it meant extra work for them. There
was always a full progreamme of entertainment and activities and birthfays & special occaions were always celebrated. Myself & my family would like to express our gratitude to everyone including in the care of my mother.

My mum spent 8 months in Garden House with dementia before passing away peaceful. The staff were exceptional showing my mum, myself and family such warmth and care through a difficult time. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we alway felt that mum was treated with dignity and respect, the carers
really did care and were kind and understanding. I would not hesitate to recommend.

A very welcoming, caring home. Staff were always in good spirits and happy to help with a smile. The staff were to help with my brother's specific needs. Unfortunately, he couldn't engage in a lot of the activities, but those he did, he thoroughly enjoyed.
Staff and management are always very keen

Mum was only in the care home for 5 months but in that time she was looked after very well by all the staff. She was reluctant to go into care, but once there she never complained and enjoyed all the activities provided, the sing-a-long and entertainers were her favourites. In the home, she had companionship
with the other residents and staff.
It was reassuring for myself to know that she was so well looked after.

I'm not sure I can find the right words to express our thanks, gratitude, appreciation for the wonderful care and love you gave Mum over the past 7 years. You were her 2nd family Mum didn't settle very well when she came in for respite care but once it was time for permanent care and Garden House became
her new home. There was a marked difference in her persona, the sparkle in her eyes returned. She loved having people around her, loved the musical entertainment and the animals (fearless handling some of those creepy crawlies...if only she knew. New experiences none the less). Dad was immensely grateful to see Mum so settled, loved & cared for, visiting whenever he wanted yet able to leave knowing she was looked after & wasn't distressed. My siblings & I are also extremely appreciative for the sheer love & dedication you gave um and the support & friendliness you showed us all over the years. We are profoundly thankful to you all!

Support from Heatherdale is good and my Aunt has been giving care to support a range of health needs. This is flexible to her changing needs, to help inform a best interest decision. Heatherdale is a warm, welcoming place, beautifully clean and seasonally decorated with friendly and genuinely caring

My father went to live at Heatherdale after a sudden decline in his health meant he could no longer stay in his own home. The staff made him feel very welcome, right from the beginning. His room was bright and clean and had a view over the beautiful gardens. Dad was able to join in activities when he
was well enough and thoroughly enjoyed himself, there was always something going on when we visited. Dad loved the food and the meals were always well presented and tempting. I cannot praise the staff enough for their care of Dad. He became very poorly and they always treated him with care and dignity. They always went the extra mile for him. Every member of staff is kind, caring and approachable. They always found time to answer our questions and reassure us. Heatherdale is a lovely home with brilliant staff and I will always be grateful to them for making my Dad's last few weeks stress free and comfortable.

We recently lost our father who had been a resident of Garden House for nearly a year. Words are not enough to express our gratitude to all members of staff, carers, cleaners, chefs and management who over those 10 months made Dad's life as comfortable as anyone could have. From staff popping their
heads around his door and saying a simple hello, how are you today, to the full-on care seeing to his everyday needs. Dad was given the care, attention and empathy with staff going above and beyond, with management giving support after our father's passing to me which was a great help. A great team.

Wellburn House has been a very positive move for our Mum. She had previously been in a home where sadly the standards and care were poor, so we were very anxious about any new placement. However, we are very relieved that after a couple of weeks of her arrival at Wellburn, things seemed to fall into
place for her. Certainly, now, after almost 6 months, she is mentally and physically much more stable and most importantly, happier. The staff are kind and considerate and the the manager is proactive, competent and compassionate. We would not hesitate in recommending this home.

The staff at Wellburn are patient and caring. My father feels valued and well cared for, and very much enjoys the activities. He always looks clean and smart, which is important to him and to my mum. His room is lovely, and always clean and tidy - and the meals smell lovely! We are so pleased that the
staff at Wellburn are looking after my father so well. He is content, and knowing he is so well cared for, and being able to visit frequently (and being so warmly welcomed by the staff, and him when she does) has resulted in a significant improvement to my mum's health.
