93 year old mother had a brief respite care stay after a spell in hospital. She was confused and frail. Rosevale care team immediately helped mum to settle in, made her feel welcome and reassured her. Even though this was a short stay mum received first class care delivered to meet her personal needs.
The Rosevale team provided helpful and knowledgeable advice and support to me in arranging the stay and during mums time there. We would use Rosevale again if the need arises.

After a terrible Crisis admission into a facility in Darlington and a 5 week hospital stay I was very reluctant to place my lovely Dad into a care facility.
Nightingale Hall was recommended to me and it's fair to say from my first appointment for placement I felt reassured that this was a well organised
fantastic home where you feel a member of the NH family.
The manager and staff from the top to the bottom are caring compassionate and very kind.
The care my Dad receives is first class and is very dignified even though at times he can be difficult.
The accommodation is beautiful well kept and very clean.
The dinning room is bright and airy and provides lovely food and another nice touch they have bags of crisps etc in the lounge that the residents can help themselves.
I will be forever grateful to the amazing NH staff.

Grimston Court

My mum has lived in Grimston Court for almost a year now. At first she was not happy due to the circumstances of her going there. She is now settled and as a family we could not be happier. The staff are extremely caring and professional we know she is very well looked after. If we have questions there
is always someone on hand to go to or if we need information via email we get a prompt reply. The home is always kept clean and even though the residents are in varied degrees if health and physical ability there are never any smells that are associated with lack of care.
Mums health has deteriorated in the time she has been there but the staff have adapted to accommodate all her needs.
I find the fact that activities and outings are put on the social media page very helpful, so if I'm not able to visit I can still see up to date information.
All in all everything is very good.

Nightingale Hall

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I utilized the amazing services of Nightingale Hall for practically a month to give both my elderly mother and myself some respite. Mum can be very difficult to support with her mental and physical health issues; however, the home was fantastic. My first visit, with a friend, confirmed it was the best
choice for respite care in the area. The care mum received throughout her stay was first class, and the reassurance and communication from all staff concerned with myself was exemplary.
All aspects of the home were gold standard clean every time we visited. Mum was suffering with eczema and not eating properly when she went in, but the staff ensured that her creams and tablets were given - without fail - at the appropriate time. Her dietary requirements were accommodated - nothing was too much trouble at all. I had hoped mum would want to stay permanently, however, it was not to be currently, but I am hoping that as and when that time comes, Nightingale Hall has a room available. I cannot thank the staff at Nightingale Hall and the Wellburn Care Homes enough.

We attended a Summer Fayre event at the home and were massively impressed. The organisation, effort and care was superb and obvious and the day was widely enjoyed by residents and family/friends alike. Little touches like sunhats; the lovely bunting; games for residents, family and children were great;
and there was even a therapy dog organised that helped everyone feel chilled. The singer (brought in by the home) was excellent and the choice of song eras was spot on...so much so that the residents were singing along and dancing. Everything about the day was organised brilliantly and enjoyed by everyone and the food was lovely and generous.
My partner's mum has been happy since attending the home and it's a source of comfort for her and all her family.
Above all though, the staff are wonderful and genuinely care about the residents and their enjoyment, development, personal care and welfare. I can't praise them enough.

All the staff at the care home were very kind and thoughtful regarding anything to do with my dad and his care. They showed respect to him and encouraged him to continue to do what he could for himself. They were extremely helpful when we moved some of his personal possessions up to the care home
and they made his time with them as good as it could have been. When my dad passed away, some of the staff attended his funeral which was very much appreciated.

My father was a resident for two years at St Catherine's and in that time he was happier than we had seen him in a long time. The staff treated him with kindness, good humour and respect, and he really felt at home there. St Catherine's is well-designed and friendly (not remotely institutionalised)
and he seemed to really fit in. The gardens in particular were a great source of joy to my father - he loved watching the birds and rabbits, and really appreciated the wonderful, seasonal planting around the buildings.
Sadly Dad died in November 2024. His end-of-life care was exemplary, and the staff could not have been kinder or more caring - not only to Dad but also towards my sister and myself whenever we were with him in his last weeks.
I'm so glad Dad came to St Catherine's. It was a wonderful place for him.
