My mum has been resident in Whorlton Grange Care home for three months now and it has not been an easy time for her or the family. However this transition has been greatly assisted by the excellent support we have all had from the Whorlton Grange Team. They have quickly gained an understanding of Mum's care needs, likes and dislikes and do their best to make her feel comfortable and settled. This has even included taking her as an individual on a day out to a venue at her request. The home itself is clean, bright cheerful and warm, always buzzing with activity and something going on, set on beautiful grounds too. The residents are well looked after and all their needs are catered for, the home has a full activities programme, with children from the local schools visiting, also entertainment and bus outings, mainly in the summer months. My Father moved from a care home in Ireland to Whorlton Grange in October 2023. After having a terrible experience in his last care home in Ireland, he arrived at Whorlton Grange quite vulnerable. The day we arrived, he was greeted with a huge hug from the deputy manager which immediately reassured him. I can honestly say that the care he has received from day one until now has been outstanding. Everyone (too many to name) has been truly fantastic with him. My brother and I are reassured that he is in the best place, is safe, and is getting the care that he needs and in fact, beyond that - the Care staff are all wonderful. They were her family and gave her unconditional love and support throughout her time at the home. We always knew she was safe, treated as an individual and offered all sorts of activities to enhance her life. My gratitude has no limit. Choosing Whorlton Grange was the best decision ever made.
