The home and staff show a high degree of care even when under pressure. In my ministry over many years and visiting many homes, this is by far the best.

I feel confident that my father is getting the best of care. All the staff are caring and attentive and work very hard to keep him safe and happy. Trip out and activities help to add interest and stimulation for the residents. His lovely room is spacious and homely. Beautifully decorated and a spacious home.

All the staff at Whorlton Grange have gone out of their way to make me feel at home. I have a nice bedroom and a lovely view of the gardens and golf course beyond. The gardener keeps the gardens looking beautiful and always gives me a cheery wave and smile. I have recently been able to go to a show at the Sage and a lovely carer stayed with me the whole the time and we had sole use of the minibus and driver. I really enjoyed the day and my family do appreciate the care and thoughtfulness shown to me.

I find my mother well cared for and treated with dignity. The fact that the carers like my mother gives me a great sense of relief as I know she will be looked after and cared for. I'm always informed by the staff of my mothers care and kept up to date as to her health, weight etc.

My dad came from the hospital after approx 10 weeks in 2 different hospitals, and on his first night here he settled. After 2 weeks now he feels very comfortable in his room and with the staff. I do not have to worry that he is not being cared for. The staff are kind and obliging. My dad is kept very clean and his condition is improving with care and support. I am comfortable to visit anytime I wish and always feel welcome.

I was overwhelmed with the kindness shown (I cried). I was pleased with his room and all the facilities on offer. I noticed all the residents were dressed and clean. There seemed to be lots of tea and bickies on offer! I look forward to any future visits my husband may make.

Having never used a care provider before I was unsure what to expect. From the moment my mother was greeted when she arrived, the staff have been professional, helpful and installed full confidence in me that she is being fully cared for. They are very attentive and always manage to keep my mother smiling.

Whorlton Grange is located in a nice area next to a golf course. It is a very attractive stone built group of buildings with well kept gardens. The interior is spacious and spotlessly maintained. The available facilities are first class. The atmosphere gives the impression of a happy and well organised operation with well trained and attentive staff although I do understand that the staff level is currently is not what it should be.

Whorlton Grange cares for my mother with wonderful care, empathy and in a loving way. They have kept the family informed and helped mam through illnesses always giving mam personal attention. They give friendly encouragement and frequent stimulus. We are very grateful for all the attention and individual thought for our beloved mam.

The room is very good and everyone is very friendly. I arrived after a short stay in hospital for a week's respite care, and being blind and hard of hearing, everyone has been extremely patient and friendly. Treatment has been excellent and I have had plenty of assistance when needed. I can't think of anywhere else I would go.

My care home ticks all the boxes. It is ideal for me and my family who live nearby. I was not coping well at home and this care home suits me well. I feel secure and safe, someone is always on call but I need to realise there are other residents who are just as important as I am. I have a good relationship with my carers who respect me and have become friends. The managers are first class, picking up quickly on anything that may become necessary with each one of us and dealing with it. Safe hands which are a priority.

My mother has been in this home for 6 years and the proactive help and advice sets them apart. All standards are high and we are kept informed of all events, changes and actions we need to take. We visit the home often at different times so we see most of the staff dealing with different pressures. The support for my mother, particularly this month by way of activities, has been exceptional. Her Alzheimer's is properly recognised and supported.

I take comfort knowing that mum is being cared for in a warm, secure, homely environment by interested and caring staff.
The staff always let me know how mum has been in general when I visit and are quick to contact me if they have concerns, for example, an infection or immediately if there is an emergency.

It is lovely to see the interaction of the staff and residents and the enjoyment the residents get from the activities - such as singing along to music and visiting bands etc...

My aunt was having difficulty at home and could not manage. She kept falling. Reluctantly she agreed to go to Whorton for one or two weeks' rest. After her 2 week stay she loved it so much she decided to stay longer. The care she received was first class. Food and care has been wonderful and compassionate. The staff were very understanding, not only for my needs but my aunty's too. As a result of this she has decided to stay for a long time. I have recommended this to a few neighbours.

My Father was admitted just over a year ago. Since then I am more than happy with the care and looking after he receives. He is always clean and well presented when I visit him.

He eats extremely well and enjoys the food. The staff always have time to have a chat with him and that makes him happy as he loves company.
