Whorlton Grange is an attractive building set in well-maintained grounds with well-appointed, clean, fresh, ensuite rooms. It has the feel of a hotel rather than a care home. The food is good and the menu varied, however, the staff willingly accommodate my mother's rather eccentric requests. Indeed it is the staff that make Whorlton Grange special. My mother is not the easiest character to manage, but when faced with challenging situations they have, not only supported my mother with their time and understanding, being proactive in finding solutions, but they have been so helpful to me personally. I cannot speak highly enough of them.

My aunt has been in Whorlton Grange for nearly a year now. She has settled in well and I am very pleased with the care she receives. All the staff, down from the managers and care workers, domestics and everyone, can't fault them. Thank you all.

The care home is of a very good standard with really nice care workers. The staff and management are friendly and always have time for everyone. Excellent food and always very clean. Knowing that my mother is happy is everything. One of the managers has always put herself out to chat and I think this makes a difference.

I cannot express enough our gratitude and thanks to the staff at Whorlton Grange. My Dad has been with them for a number of years and during his time with them, they treated him as one of their own family. In his last weeks, the care dedication and love for him was beyond just a job. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the team to care for a family member.

Whorlton Grange is a lovely place for my mother. She has dementia and gets lots of attention to keep her happy. When I was there this morning she was very bubbly and singing away to herself. She used to forget to eat at home but now has seconds whenever she wants. There are lots of activities for her and she is taken to places regularly. The staff are very helpful and let me know if she needs anything bringing in.

Very expensive at £725 a week - but all care homes are. All staff have been great with Dad and us in all our dealings.

Food is excellent - he has put on weight.

My mam has been a resident in Whorlton Grange since March 2018. The home has a lovely homely feeling, the staff are very caring and show my mam respect and dignity. My mam has dementia and in what has been one of the most difficult times in my life the staff at Whorlton Grange have eased the burden for me. I know my mam is looked after.

This home Whorlton Grange is the best home out of all the homes I've been in, it is 'home from home'. Staff are excellent they are treated just like family, I'd definitely recommend it to everyone. The residents are cared for, nothing is too much trouble, they are loved and spoilt. They say love is the richest possession of all, health is wealth - this home extends the ages of all patients. God Bless them always.

We have been impressed by the caring staff who quickly got to know my mother and who have made her very welcome. They have helped her settle in and she now feels a part of the community in the home. Her health issues seem to be addressed and carefully monitored.
The atmosphere in the home is calm and friendly. There seems to be a good number of staff on hand whenever we visit and there is a good range of activities for residents to take part in.

The facilities are very good. There is a variety of communal spaces for residents from a bigger, more lively lounge to a quieter space, a garden and a courtyard. The dining room is light and spacious. My mother's own room is very comfortable.
