Mum was recently admitted to
Dial House for respite care from a 7 week hospital stay following an awful fall with horrendous injuries at home
My visit was unfortunately after 5pm due to traffic and travel. The member of staff answering the door was friendly but challenged my identity, this
reassured me mum was safe, it became clear that I was expected and welcomed in. My immediate impression was a clean tidy friendly home. Mum looked so relaxed in her room and even boosted about winning at bingo. Her evening meal was brought to her room which she relished. I took a moment to read through the information brochure in her room, so useful. I haven't told anyone that I used to work in care as a care manager, I was very impressed and knew what to look for. I met 5 different members of staff all cheerful and treated mum with dignity and respect.

My friend was with Dial House for around six weeks respite care. During this time I visited as a friend and took him to a couple of hospital appointments. The lovely staff could not have been more understanding and helpful. It was reassuring to see that he was treated with dignity and respect, and
the nursing care ensured that he recovered well.
