From receptionist to interactions with all staff and management has been a great experience. The patience and dignity professionally shown has been a joy to behold and allows us as a family to relax and know that our mother is getting the best possible care.

I looked at many homes for my mother who has moved and decided on Saltwood Care Centre. Without a shadow of doubt I made the right choice. From the managers to all the carers everyone has been amazing. The building is always immaculate and never smells (not like most). Everyone cannot do enough for
my mum which is all that I ask for. If you need to go into a home don't bother with any other one.

Excellent care 24 hours a day. The activities manager really creates a full programme of events each month, including trips in the minibus to the beach and theatre, e.g. pantomime.

My husband has been in Saltwood Care Centre for just over a year now- he is well cared for and staff are well trained and key aspects under home manager. Thank you provides good and social care too. Safe and secure home family support. Making you feel part of Saltwood family.

My aunt was a resident at Saltwood for 7 years. During this time I could not have asked for a more caring and proactive team. She felt safe, cared for and loved. There was always company, many varied activities and good home cooked food which she enjoyed. As her health deteriorated the attention to
detail and the extra mile all the staff went to to keep her comfortable was second to none. I felt supported by the team at all times and comfortable that I could ask any questions at any time. Under the care, love and encouragement of this wonderful team my aunt was able to enjoy her final years and live well with dementia.

When my wife first arrived at Saltwood about 6 weeks ago, we were immediately made to feel welcome. Saltwood provides a homely atmosphere and the staff are friendly and supportive. My wife needs 24 hour care and lots of help with her daily routines. She is always treated with respect and dignity.
She now has limited ability to communicate but she is always encouraged to join in the various activities if she wants to. I visit regularly and when I leave I never feel worried that she won't be well cared for.

My husband has been a resident of Saltwood Care Centre for 3 yrs. In all that time he ahs been treated with kindness and dignity. All the staff are excellent including management. Nothing is too much trouble. They make sure I am ok too - a lovely touch.

My Mum is a happy resident at Saltwood Care Centre.She enjoys thoroughly her life in the home.The carers are always friendly and efficient and Mum likes the interaction
She participate occasionally in the daily activities and amusing entertainments.
The whole management is approachable and
oversee the wellbeing of residents.We can relay on their support in every aspect.

Having had a nasty fall which required hospitalisation for a week, and living on my own, I needed somewhere close to my home where I could be looked after for a couple of weeks.
All the staff have been wonderful so caring and helpful which has allowed me to rest and recuperate in safe and
comfortable surroundings.
I would really recommend this to anyone looking for help in similar circumstances.

My dad has been in Saltwood Care Centre since June this year. He has Lewy Body Dementia. From the very start, the staff were welcoming & caring to both my dad & to his family, and we very much hope that he will be able to remain here when the local authority begins to fund his care. The building
and the grounds are attractive and well-kept, with a large conservatory & also a patio outside for residents and family to sit. Most importantly, there is a lovely atmosphere here with kind and dedicated staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. The activities team are brilliant; my dad is especially keen on the bands and singers that visit - music therapy for him, and I'm sure for many other residents, is so important and you can see how much everyone enjoys the activities. The management offer an open-door policy, so useful to family members, and they are open to discussion and suggestions and keen to resolve any problem. Close to my dad's heart, the food is tasty and varied!

This Care Home provides for the daily needs of the Resident from whom I hold Power of Attorney. The staff are friendly, the management team is accessible, proactive and responsive and visitors are made welcome.

We have been very impressed with the level of care my mother-in-law has received since she arrived in January. The staff are caring and very approachable. They always go out of their way in delivering personalised care. My mother-in-law speaks highly of the standard and variety of the meals offered
and thoroughly enjoys the homemade cakes and biscuits offered at tea and coffee times. The activities offered are very much enjoyed too!

My father has been at Saltwood for over 2 years and feel that it was the right choice for him. The staff are wonderful, very professional, caring and helpful right through the whole team. He recently had his 99th birthday and the staff went above and beyond anything I could have expected. Dad is a
Pearly King and they arranged for some Pearly Kings and Queens to come to Saltwood for a surprise birthday party for him. He was overwhelmed when he saw them as he never thought he would see them again. He had the best birthday we could possibly hope for and a wonderful memory. Can't thank them enough.

Nobody warns you and nothing prepares you for the time you have to look after your elderly parents and we never realised how emotionally and mentally exhausting it would be, but thankfully we had Saltwood Care Centre and it's staff to support us, and care for them.
They looked after my Father and
Mother over the last two years.
They have both now passed and as upsetting as it is losing them, it is nice to know that they spent their remaining time in a caring and comfortable environment.
We can never thank the staff at Saltwood Care Centre enough. There's to many to mention but special thanks to the Management team, who's support and professionalism throughout the time our parents were with them, we will never forget and be forever grateful.

Today 20/01/2025 there was a general meeting it was great. So much thought for the residents social aspect discussed, thank you.
My husband has been cared for so well that he is at an healthier place than I've seen him for over 2 years. I must thank everyone so for always making me feel part of
Saltwood Care Centre too. Hoping I don't get in the way too much. Coming through the door to lovely smiling staff on the weekends. Thank you.

Saltwood Care Centre has some peculiarities with water bugs! In the water supply, in the bedding that we sleep in. In the laundry that is returned washed and ironed, clean and ready to wear. Need to sort out the bugs.

I have lived here since I came out of the hospital. Rooms have a nice view of the gardens. The meals are very good and plentiful. The home staff and management are providing a pretty for me and 18 of my relatives for my 80th birthday on 26/10/2024.
