My uncle came to live here following an extended hospital stay in February 2025. When discharged from hospital he was in very poor health and spirits, thin depressed and suffering from a chest infection that the hospital had failed to manage. He has now been living at Offington Park for 4 months he is healthy and happy and looks so much better. He receives 1st class care from the doctor who attends the home on a regular basis, the physio who gets him doing his exercises the staff who constantly pop in to say hello, his foot care, his haircuts and his nails are all carried out on a regular basis and the manager is always available if you have any queries. I am extremely happy with the level of care and service here. I can now relax knowing that my uncle is safe, happy, no longer lonely and well cared fo, after years of worrying about him, as he lived alone since his wife's passing 1.5 hours away from me.
Our father entered Offington Park in October 2024 and as soon as we arrived the atmosphere in the care home was warm and friendly - we were made to feel very welcome from the outset which is testament to the entire care home team who have proved themselves to our family to be very professional, kind, sensitive, caring and patient. They have all taken the time to get to know our father and make him feel at home treating him with dignity, giving him encouragement, independence and privacy when needed and most importantly keeping him safe while ensuring that his needs are met. The staff show a high level of understanding of dementia and are experts in diffusing any challenging situation that may arise. With activities each day, residents birthday celebrations and parties for the residents families to enjoy plus good homemade food, great cakes and a nice outdoor space to enjoy the sunshine we would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone looking for care for their loved one.
Despite efforts to look after our mother at home after she returned from hospital showing signs of advanced dementia, it soon became obvious that the amount of care she required was beyond anything we could provide & led us to seek residential care for her. We visited numerous homes locally & happily found Offington Park. We were given a tour, shown all available rooms & had all our questions answered. The difference in care, accommodation & general atmosphere between previous homes we had seen & that clearly on display at Offington was like night & day, prompting us to register my mother immediately. Since that day we have experienced nothing but a friendly, professional, caring environment that we are happy for our mother to be part of & which extends to the whole family during our visits. Offington Park deserves plentiful recognition for the first class service they offer and we are grateful for the care our mother is receiving.
Being from a family with a majority working in care, myself included, we were incredibly lucky to find this home for my mum. We spoke with the manager and explained our needs for mum. The manager made us all feel very welcome, with a cup of tea. She explained how everything works and the financial aspect. The manager is a new manager and from the times we have spoken I can honestly say that she is so lovely, very informative and considerate. The home is going through some refurbishment, so does at the moment look a little untidy, but if you are able to look pass that you can see a really lovely little home (about 23 residents I believe) Mum has been there about 5 weeks now and she tells me that every member of staff are lovely too, not a normal response for mum. I cannot speak highly enough for this little home and I want to thank all the staff for looking after mum so well
My mother inlaw came to offington park 5wks ago the staff are amazing and friendly to our mum and all her family visiting she has help round the clock from staff food is lovely and the staff will go above and beyond for her made her fill welcome 1st day I've got to know staff now by name very relaxed environment glad my mum in safe hand and safe it peace of mind for us she safe and happy here
My Dad has been at Offington Park Rest Home for 2 and a half years. He has dementia, but has been well looked after by all the staff. In January 2024 Dad had a stroke and lost the mobility in his right side so is now wheelchair bound. The staff have adapted to this so well. We are very lucky that his room has a hoist which enables him to be lifted from bed to wheelchair and back at the end of the day so that he can enjoy activities in the lounge with the other residents and not feel stuck in his room the whole time. I think Dad is happy there, and I feel that he is safe and well cared for.
My father has settled in very well in this home, much quicker and better than I expected.. The staff are excellent and have been very responsive to any queries that we have had, and very welcoming. He enjoys the company of the staff and residents. Also the entertainment provided - particularly the musician who pays guitar/violin and sings. The home is very clean and the garden sheltered and well maintained. We are very satisfied.
My Mum was a resident at Offington Park for 2 1/2 years. I looked into moving her closer to us, but I was reluctant to take her away from the superb care she got there. The staff are so caring and committed: they went over and above for Mum. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Offington Park - particularly for dementia care. I can never thank the staff enough for making my Mum feel safe, secure and cared-for in her final years.
My father was looked after at Offington Park Rest Home for nearly a year, sadly dad passed away in December. As a family we cannot express how well looked after he was there, especially the last few weeks. All the staff were so caring and they all felt like family to us which was so important to us as a family, nothing was ever to much trouble always making sure we were OK normally with tea and cake which was always appreciated thank you to all the staff for your hard work.
Dad joined Offington Park just before the first lockdown, from hospital. It was imperative a home was found quickly and we had the very good fortune to find Offington. Dad's care at Offington was exemplary and we know he was very happy there as he was always telling us! He had a lovely rapport with the staff who showed care and compassion towards him. Indeed this care, compassion and love was shown to both us and Dad on his passing. We can't thank every one of the staff enough!
My mum needed to be transferred from having a live in carer at home to becoming a resident in a care home. Although my mum has only been in Offington Park Rest Home for a few days we found the whole process seamless. The care home manager and their team have been brilliant. The prepared my mum's room in a lovely way and it looks so 'homely'. All the carers seem lovely and very engaging with Mum. Although it is still early days we couldn't be happier for Mum and the care she's getting at Offington Park.
My nan has been a resident at Offington for over four years now and she was always reluctant to go into a care home but being at Offington she has been very happy, enjoys the food and has a great rapport with all the staff. Nan always speaks highly of the home and as a family, we couldn't ask for a better place for my Nan.
My dad has Alzheimer’s and sadly was no longer able to live safely at home alone, therefore, last September, we took the difficult decision to place him in a care home. We were able to visit Offington Park Rest Home beforehand, both just my husband and I and then with Dad too. Whilst he wasn’t really sure about staying there (and still doesn’t recognise it as ‘home’, but didn’t recognise his bungalow of the last 36 years as home either), he is safe, and the staff have been nothing but kind and caring to Dad, and always helpful and kind to myself and my family when visiting, and keeping us informed of anything we need to know.
I would thoroughly recommend Offington Park Rest Home. The staff are very considerate and take time to pay attention to detail. I am always made very welcome whenever I visit. Knowing that my husband is so well looked after gives me great peace of mind. The home meets all resident's needs and even makes the family dog welcome. The entertainment involves all the residents and is second to none.
We can’t thank the care team enough for the care they gave to our mum, who had Alzheimer’s. From the very beginning to the very sad few days and hours of our beloved mum. The communication was excellent between us, and we were always made to feel very welcome. We stayed a couple of nights towards the precious hours and were supplied with welcome cups of tea and biscuits. Every step along the way was kindly considered for our Mum to make her comfortable, and we knew that Mum was in good hands at all times when we couldn’t be there. We will be forever thankful for the whole team’s commitment. Much love and forever thanks to the whole team.
The staff pulled all the stops out for Aunty's special birthday this last weekend - nothing was too much trouble. She enjoys sitting in the garden in the summer but, mostly, seems to prefer her own room as her sight and mobility are failing now.
All the staff at Offington Park are very friendly and caring. I know that mum is happy there. Mum has been there for a couple of years and has been cared for well. It is a big comfort to know that we can be confident in her care.
My mum is really happy since moving into Offington Park, she is very well looked after and settled in really quickly. The staff are really friendly and welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you.
Mum has been at Offington Park for four and a half years and I have never been less than 100% satisfied with how she has been cared for throughout that time. Despite her slight confusion (she will be 94 this year) she always appears happy when we visit; well fed and entertained, and of course, her personal care is superb. When she has had medical issues we have always been quickly informed, and the matter resolved with the GP and/or paramedics. The staff are so friendly, not only to mum but also to us when we visit, and our grandchildren (Mum's great-grandchildren) when we take them in to see her. Hopefully, she will be with us for a number of years, and I am hopeful and happy that she will spend as much of that time as possible at Offington Park.
