With my dad needing 24/7 care, it was a very worrying time when he was in hospital and we had to organise a care home. We are so grateful to have found Berry Pomeroy care home. All of the staff have been amazing in supporting and caring for dad. It is such a weight off of our minds to know that he
is getting the 24/7 care and attention he needs. Nothing is too much trouble and his needs are being totally met. The most important thing as well, is that he is very happy in the home and it is like a little private hotel. The food choice is excellent and the food is of a high standard, expertly cooked. The communications between management, staff and ourselves is perfect and we are made aware immediately of any concerns they have and any suggestions, which are quickly acted upon. All of the care staff are amazing, caring and look after dad so well and they are all very pleasant to deal with, a number of them working in the home for some time. The planned activities are also impressive

A high level of support provided by staff.
Clean, presentable surroundings. My mother felt safe and secure in respite and this is her second stay.
Staff respond quickly to situations and needs, and management respond to e-mails and phone-calls really promptly. I'd highly recommend this home for
respite.

Team were very welcoming when Mum transferred to them early last year and are responsive to Mum's personal needs and care. The Team have been willing to discuss any concerns Mum raises and I trust them to make the right decision for Mum. They communicate well as a team and I always get an update or
a response to any issues or outstanding matters. The environment is well cared for and offers a variety of activities and support for the residents but this is not enforced to cater for the more reluctant resident which suits Mum very well. I am grateful for their care and professionalism.

My mother has lived at this care home for nearly 8 years and has been happy and well cared for. In April she fell over and broke her hip and was admitted to hospital. In spite of her great age, she had a hip replacement operation. We were very anxious that she might not recover sufficiently to
return to her home which would have been devastating for her. The staff at the home worked really hard to make the necessary provision to have her home, in spite of her post-operative mobility being limited. They visited the hospital, negotiated with them for the loan and transport of equipment, and welcomed her back with all the facilities necessary to encourage her speedy rehabilitation. They went way beyond the call of duty, and my mother is now home. We're so grateful for their kindness and efficiency.

I have been in Berry Pomeroy Care Home for respite care and found everything extremely good. Nothing to complain about anywhere.
I would recommend this care home to everyone I know.
Food was excellent and staff always happy to help.

We both needed a good rest and this is what we got. The management did everything to make our stay very enjoyable and everybody was very kind to us.

Mum is very well cared for by all of the team. She was recently offered a new room so that she was closer to the day room and restaurant so that she did not have to struggle with mobility. The move was handled professionally.
A hoist has been installed to assist Mum which confirms the proactive and
supportive approach of the home to deliver excellent support and care.
Communication is regular and we are fully informed of Mum's situation at all times
The staff (two in particular) are outstanding and they make time to discuss Mum's situation on a regular basis. The home treats the residents as family members and it’s a pleasure to deal with everyone at Berry Pomeroy.

My mother received five-star care and stay at Berry Pomeroy. She stayed there for 5 weeks respite care and enjoyed every minute. Finally returning home full of energy after the excellent food, activities and kind carers helped her recovery. I would recommend Berry Pomeroy for the best care, a
beautiful garden and first class situation near the seafront.

Not large rooms.
Always somebody on hand when help was needed.
Clean and fresh always when you visit.
Staff always friendly.

There are not enough words to describe the excellent care given to my mum by the whole team at Berry Pomeroy. Mum returned after being in the hospital to a wonderful welcome home. She was made to feel extra special and it was the simple acts of kindness that made a difference. A welcome home sign,
flowers in her room and a cup of tea and cake. These are things that made such a difference to mum.

My mother was a resident for two years in the Berry Pomeroy until she died in September 2022. During her time in the home, she was well cared for. The staff could not do enough for her. Taking her shopping, outings to local parks and indoor activities. Making Christmas and Easter very special during
the Covid lockdowns. The staff are always very helpful, and pleasant and would keep me updated about my mother. When visiting was restricted during Covid, they even helped me with my testing.

My father has had respite care to cover our holidays three times this year. Berry Pomeroy residential care home staff have welcomed him most warmly and given him excellent care and attention. He has been well looked after, comfortable and settled. He has enjoyed the food and has joined in several
activities. He likes company and is a social person, so the care and attention have been just what he needed. I am very happy to recommend this home to any elderly person that needs care and support.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this most lovely and thoughtful care home to anyone. My mother is in her mid 80's and is so happy where she is. The management and staff are so very kind and considerate to all the residents and a message of thanks is shown by virtue of my marks given and

My mother has been a resident for nearly 2-years now and has been cared for in a very professional caring environment, along with all the staff that make this place so special. From the management downwards, or ground level caring staff upwards, it's all the same standard, and the standard of care
does not get any better than this; it's superb.
My mother is very happy here, which makes us family very happy too, nothing is ever too much trouble, communication is excellent, it's one big happy family here.
We are so happy we made the right choice for my mum, and for our family too. We can go home as a family in the knowledge that our mother is in good hands, and receiving the best excellent care possible.

I can’t praise Berry Pomeroy enough for their dedication and constant interaction with all parties involved with the care home. I always speak highly of all that they do to support, protect and entertain the residents in every way they can. During these challenging times of the Coronavirus
outbreak, I feel completely secure and happy that my mum is a resident.

On entry to the building, light, no smell, airy and pleasant staff. As a resident, all staff were kind, caring and friendly. The managers helped by sorting appointments, doctor, medication. social services etc. The bedroom was spacious, airy and ensuite, cleaned each day. Washing done and I felt
safe. The food excellent, a varied choice, some with a drink. Lots of social activities in lounges. Visitors are made welcome. it is a good Christian rest home.
