View Full Details of Coombe Dingle Nursing HomeI spent quite a few weeks being cared for after an operation on both my legs. The care I received was fantastic. The staff were loving and kind. The overall feel of the place was wholesome and caring. There are plenty of activities and events happening on a regular basis. My questions were always answered. I would thoroughly recommend Coombe Dingle.
Dad is well cared for in the care home, the staff are always very friendly and always make you feel welcome. The staff always keep me updated if Dad is unwell or have any concerns. Dad found a new hobby whilst being at the care home he started painting and making airfix models which helps to fill his time as he was getting bored and felt isolated when he first arrived at the home.
My mother has been in Coombe Dingle for over 3 months. From the day of my first visit i was very impressed with the caring and professional attitude shown to me and my mother. All queries and requests were met quickly and efficiently any ongoing subjects have been dealt with. The treatment and care shown to my mother has been friendly, caring, quick, efficient, and regular. All ongoing subjects have been communicated regularly, quickly, and openly. I have been kept informed of all items of my mothers care, never having to chase or repeat. The home is kept clean, tidy, friendly, visually bright, the right level of background noise and music. Activities are daily, appropiate, useful, not pushy, interactive. Staff are knowledgable, friendly and caring, communication very good. Having worked in care homes before, I am most impressed with running of the home, it meets all my wishes.
It is a very upsetting experience to visit a family member in a home that specialises in dementia however in the case of Coombe Dingle the care, kindness and patience shown by all the staff (wether nurses, cooks, carers or cleaners) makes the experience a little easier
Coombe Dingle has looked after my Aunt for almost two years now. The staff look after her extremely well and do everything they can to make her comfortable. We can not be thankful enough to have found them and would recommend them to others looking for a place of care.
Coombe Dingle provides the perfect balance, professional, caring, and personal. Set in a beautiful, accessible location with lovely gardens, the home is calm, clean, and welcoming. Staff are exceptional: warm, respectful, and compassionate. They treat my father with real dignity-some even call him "uncle," which he loves. They celebrated his birthday with decorations and care staff joining in. Communication with us is excellent and my father is now settled and comfortable. Given his condition, the team are doing everything they can. Improvements could include enhanced in-house physio and better showering facilities for those with limited mobility. Coombe Dingle has given us real peace of mind and I would fully recommend them to others looking for kind, dignified care.
The care and attention given to each individual is remarkable. Staff members are not only attentive and responsive to every need, but they do so with genuine kindness and patience. It's clear they build strong, meaningful relationships with the residents, treating them with the respect and dignity they deserve.

The home always let's us know how she is doing and also let us know of things such as covid etc. Mum is comfortable and calm here. I can call the home anytime to see how mum is doing and I am able to visit without making an appointment. I am very pleased with all that the staff at coombe dingle and their care of my mother.

My aunt was admitted to Coombe Dingle seven months ago following a traumatic fall and long stay in hospital. She has settled extremely well thanks to the care and friendliness of the staff. They managed to quickly heal a pressure sore my aunt had when she first arrived thanks to their hard work and expertise. We trust the staff to provide the care my aunt needs and to keep her safe and content.
My Mum has been in Coombe Dingle for the past four months. In all that time I have been completely satisfied with everything. All the staff are caring, thoughtful and attentive and very welcoming when myself and my family visit. The management staff have been great with any questions and are extremely easy to deal with. The home has a lovely calm atmosphere and is always clean and tidy. My Mum is happy and settled and smiles when we talk about the home. From my point of view I know 100% that Mum is in the best possible place and would recommend Coombe Dingle to everyone.
The residents all looked very well cared for, the home was clean and exceptionally well presented I was there for a meal which was well presented and food looked to be of good quality The staff were all so friendly and nothing seemed.lime too much trouble, they had immense patience with the residents
My mother has been a resident since Nov 24. The staff are lovely, always smiling, helpful and attentive - from the manager down to the cleaners and laundry staff. I've often witnessed the staff dealing with other residents and always treating them with dignity and respect. My mother does not have dementia, so the activities are not always suitable, however the staff recognise this and she has enjoyed some 1-1 time and suggestions with the activity co-ordinators. Whenever I make suggestions or comment on my mother's care, staff are always quick to respond and amend care or contact the GP appropriately. The rooms and furnishings are dated, but we were able to supplement with Mums furnishings and decor. The home is small and not clinical. My mother is happy, comfortable - and safe. And I, am hugely relieved.
I have found both the staff and management to very helpful and professional in their actions. Whilst I am unable to visit as often as I would wish due to the distance. When I am able to visit I have seen the attention and time the staff and management give to all the residents including my sister who has severe dementia. The home contacts me with updates and especially if there are any problems or concerns with my sister. They also inform me of any medical requirements such as the covid booster and any issues that effect my visiting the home. I am also able to keep in contact with the home via a phone call or email.

My Mother has been a resident at Coombe Dingle since December 2019 and I can honestly say I couldn't ask for a better place for Mum. Every member of the staff are lovely.. they all contribute to the compassionate atmosphere of the home and care of residents. Mum has always been treated with care/compassion and dignity which has meant the world to me and gives me great comfort. I would have no hesitation in recommending Coombe Dingle to others and am extremely grateful to them all for the dedication and care they show continuously to my Mum.
My mother has been at Coombe Dingle since Nov 2024. She has dementia and behaviour that ranges from normal to quite challenging. The team there have managed to cope with her though her ups and downs, and have kept her safe and well. They are responsive and do their best to accomodate additional requests, place phone calls through to my mother etc. It's not an easy job, but they make it seem easier than most. My thanks go to the staff and management for their past and ongoing support.
From my weekly visits, I am extremely happy with the care and attention my mum receives at Coombe Dingle. My main aim is that she is kept safe and comfortable and as happy as possible. I'm always welcomed by the staff even if I turn up, or call up unannounced. I feel mum is cared for by genuinely caring and professional staff. The patience of the staff is totally admirable. I'm afraid I couldn't look after mum by myself. She is a great mum, but with Alzheimer's she now needs proper 24 hour professional care to keep her safe and happy. I love the fact that I can visit the home at any time and can still take mum out to the park for ice cream. The staff treat all the residents with the same dignity and kindness as you would ever hope for a loved member of your family. The medical care appears to be excellent with proper procedures put in place (for eg; obtaining my permission for flu jab for mum before inoculation; always informing me if she has had a fall).Even the owners know mum well!
