If I could give summerhill more then 5 stars I would. Fantastic home fantastic staff and amazing management staff. From the moment my mum entered summerhill she has been looked after with total care and made to feel like she still has independence. On arriving management were outside waiting for my
mum and to show us around. I can not recommend summerhill enough.

My mother has been living in Summerhill for over a year now. I couldn't be happier with the care she is receiving. The staff are fantastic, very caring and professional. They treat Mother with such kindness. The home has entertainment and activities 5 days a week for the residents to participate in
if they wish to. I would definitely recommend Summerhill.

Well organised, efficient caring. The staff are professional and courteous. Any issues of which there are few are quickly sorted. I can rest assured that my mother is well cared for and supported. I can now become a son again rather than a carer. Superb facility with professional management and
staff.

My 98 year old father has been in Summerhill for a few weeks, but is already settled and happy. I live a good distance away, but the staff have been so accommodating this week while visiting. Nothing has been too much trouble and everything done with a big smile and great courtesy. Summerhill is a
lovely calm care home, beautifully cared for and excellent caring staff. It certainly reinforces all the excellent views I had heard from others who had had relatives there.

After a stroke my aunt was unable to go home and for 6 months was a temporary resident. Finding such a welcoming and supportive care home was a Godsend. The staff made a massive difference to her recovery and cared for her with great kindness. She loved the food, all the activities and chatting to
the staff. The management were helpful and supportive as we navigated her move to sheltered accommodation. I would highly recommend Summerhill to other families.

I consider myself so fortunate to have found this care home for my mother. I cannot praise the management, staff, activities coordinator and chef too highly. My mother spent her final eighteen months here and considered it her home from home. She absolutely loved the staff and I know they loved her.

This care home is excellent. They look after residents very well and provide entertainment which is based on the entertainment you would expect at a resort. The management and staff are truly great.

I moved my mother from an 'Assisted Living' facility to Summerhill 18 months ago at age 98. Of course, she didn't want to move but rapidly decided that the home was good and that the staff took good care of her.
My mother is very strong-willed, but all the staff have proved very capable at ensuring
she's comfortable and well cared for.
Her medication was reviewed and recalibrated to a very positive effect - something that her local GP had never managed previously. Ongoing healthcare is managed well, with patience and a sense of humour.

Very caring staff who are helpful and prompt.
Particularly the four staff members in particular.
Food is cooked well and is nutritious.
Room is lovely with a nice view. Quiet location with adequate parking near to town centre.

My granny has been in for respite. She came home and told us she immediately wanted to put her name down for a permanent place. We were so happy with the care she received. My mum had her first holiday in five years, and I can't say thank you enough! The management team are truly caring, and this is
obviously passed down.

Mum moved to Summerhill for respite care and then temporary care. She eventually passed away at the end of January. The care and attention given by the staff was excellent. The attention to mum's sometimes complex needs was invaluable. The family were made to feel very welcome - part of the
Summerhill family. Nothing we asked for was too much trouble. We would certainly recommend this home to anyone.

Mum stayed with Summerhill care home for two weeks at the end of June. Couldn't ask for a nicer, more helpful team to look after her. Staff were always friendly and polite, always close by to help when help was required, and never complained. One staff member even phoned in from home to check if my
mum had received her jug of water. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Mum was a long-term resident of Summerhill Care Home. She liked to remain in her room so that the carers were as much part of her life. They took the time to talk to Mum when they could, during lockdowns this was especially important. I shall be forever grateful for the kindness and caring they
gave Mum over those years. I would absolutely recommend Summerhill to anyone who is looking for a kind and caring place for their relative.

I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful, caring staff at Summerhill who have looked after my 91-year-old mum so well since her arrival at the end of January 2022. Because of Covid restrictions, it was five weeks before I could visit my mum for the first time, and I was so pleased and relieved
to see she was happy, safe and settled. She loves her room and all the carers who look after her. I could not ask for more.

A caring, professional team of lovely staff and ancillary workers. A small home with a good atmosphere. Summerhill has been redecorated, new floor, coverings and furnishing, has good gardens and practical facilities. A safe, clean, modern facility for our loved ones - not a huge machine.

I am quite happy with the care and attention my mother is receiving at Summerhill care home during these terrible times. There is one little problem; it is about the hearing aid system, no one seems to be able to put them in properly as she cannot do it herself, as she is very deaf.

Staff are very helpful, but many do not seem happy with some recent changes. The new seats do not seem suitable for elderly residents, no backs to lean on. It is good that the home is being redecorated etc but need to think more about the suitability of furniture.
