We are very pleased with the care my sister receives. She is clean and well looked after.
I moved here 3 months ago and wish I had moved sooner. I am happy and feel safe. I get on with the staff. I am having trouble with bedroom door it makes a banging noise when coming in or out and wakes me up at night.
2 1/2 months since Cynthia moved in Bethune Court, and I'm quite happy - because she's happy. As good as it gets.
Our mum arrived at Bethune Court in February 2025, after a 20 week spell in hospital. Whilst in hospital, Mum had food, medication and was basically left either in bed or on her chair. She was not thriving at all! (Very little interaction!) When Mum arrived at the home, everything changed, and even though it was very difficult for her to adapt at first, through the patience, kindness and 100% support of all the staff here, we feel we have got our mum back!! She is thriving and happy (even if she does not show it!!) xxx
My nan has been so much happier since moving to Bethune Court. All the staff are lovely and supports Nan well. She gets involved with all the activities would is great to see. I would recommend this care home to anyone!!
My Dad moved into Bethune as a permanent resident back in October 2024. He was living independently beforehand but had a fall and so more care was needed. We have been very impressed with the staff at Bethune. They work extremely hard to accomodate over 40 residents all with different needs. They are kind and compassionate and take time to solve any worries that my Dad has had since his admission. The room is spacious and kept clean and my dad is free to come and go as he pleases within reason so he still feels independent to a point. The meals always look good and the kitchen staff work hard to look after everyone's requirements which is no mean feat! The daily entertainment is varied and there is always something to join in with The office staff have been amazing. They follow up any queries quickly and efficiently and always have a smile! We feel so much relief knowing that when we leave Dad after visiting him that he is in very safe hands.
My Dad has been here for 6 months now. Bethune Court hits very high marks in every respect. The thing that stands out above all is the staff. Professional, friendly and very patient. A great team. Keep it up
There are a variety of activities for the residents to participate in. Staff are cheerful
The first month of my mum's stay at Bethune Court has been a rollercoaster of emotions for her and the family. The staff at Bethune Court have helped to smooth this transition and cannot be praised enough. Nothing is too much trouble for them as they continue to put my mum's needs at the top of their agenda. Their door is always open and they are keen to offer advice and a smile. The home itself is clean, fresh and welcoming and I would not hesitate in recommending it for your loved one.
We are very pleased with the care Mum has received since moving to Bethune Court. Having previously been very independent, she initially found it difficult to adjust to living in a care home but with the support of all the kind and patient staff, she has slowly but surely started to settle. She enjoys taking part in some of the many and varied activities on offer. Unfortunately, Mum has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and the staff are doing everything they can to support both Mum and us, as a family, on this journey.
What started out as a trial respite has turned into a permanent stay as I have had a health problem diagnosed. I couldn't be happier with Bethune Court. Mum has settled in so well, she loves the food and is making friends. She has gone from being at home, feeling isolated to chatty and cheerful. From the very first visit, we've been made welcome and the communication has been great. Thank you to all concerned for making the transition so smooth.
My mother is so very happy at Bethune Court, she has settled in with the staff. Your care team are supportive and caring. My mother is treated with dignity and respect. We are so very happy with her care. All of your staff are perfect, they keep us involved with our mum's health and well-being.
The home is friendly and welcoming. Everyone is so helpful and polite. Mum has settled in very well and is very happy with the activities. She went on an outing recently and enjoyed it very much. If I ever have a query, the admin staff are wonderful and so helpful.
A beautiful view in a lovely, large room and friendly, caring staff have helped my aunt settle quickly after the difficulty of having to leave her home. The team at Bethune Court have been extremely supportive in both finding her a place where she can be happy, after unsuccessful viewings of other homes in the area and ensuring that administrative needs are dealt with quickly and simply. As I live far from the area it is particularly important to know that my aunt is well cared for, and from my experience so far I would definitely recommend this care home.
Excellent home, all staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. My mother is very happy here. Her room is very pleasant and very clean and staff are always popping in to see she's OK throughout the day. A very professionally run home and everyone is always available for any questions we may have. I couldn't recommend this care home highly enough.
Bethune Court is just beautiful. The building is set out in a way to give residents plenty of room to move around and longes are very visitor friendly. The staff are absolutely wonderful, always smiling, polite and friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. I feel confident that my mother is well cared for, and it is always a pleasure to visit the home.
The staff at Bethune Court are caring and kind. My mother recently had a fall and had to go to A and E. The staff were very helpful from start to finish when after 8 hours of waiting to be seen I brought my mother back at midnight, I had been in communication with the staff throughout giving updates and then reassuring me that they would be able to do anything needed to help when she returned. My mother has dementia and was very confused throughout. The minute we arrived back the staff were kind and empathetic to her needs. The two members of the night staff who were caring for her were just so nice and caring that it allowed me to leave her knowing she was well cared for. The whole team that works at Bethune Court is considerate and very helpful from the cleaners, to the admin team to the carers and the management. I would certainly recommend Bethune Court to any family thinking of getting residential care for their relative.
Since my mother, now 98, arrived five years ago she has had excellent care from the the kind and very helpful staff. I have always felt welcome and been able to communicate with them about dealing with my mother's increasing frailty. The modern, well-decorated building set in attractive gardens has a pleasant, upbeat atmosphere, and the meals provided are tasty, nutritious and well-presented. The thoughtful, compassionate staff provide a fine service and I feel able to rely on them.
The home is exceedingly clean and tidy and the residents are well cared for. Food is of a high standard. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Rooms are all clean, bright and airy. The only negative is the lack of daily activities, quite a few of the residents say they feel these are nowhere as good as they were twelve months ago.
