View Full Details of Caroline HouseMy family have been very pleased with the care shown to Mum since she came to Caroline House last October. In particular, Mum's personal care, her room and the food have been excellent. The staff have all been friendly and approachable, even when busy.
I've always found the staff at Caroline House to be very friendly and helpful. Mum seems to be happy there. She hasn't been negative about the home. Everyone is very approachable. If I had any problems I feel they would be sorted!
I visit my mother-in-law as often as I can, she always seems happy and content & well looked after. The staff are always helpful and very friendly. My mother-in-law tells me she loves the food, which has always been important to her.She loves her chocolate biscuits.
My mother was placed in Caroline House, June 2024, after a lengthy hospital stay due to her developing vascular dementia. She seemed to settle in quite quickly, which I attribute to the wonderful carers. She has a ground floor room with her own loo and, I believe, she is comfortable. The room is kept clean & tidy. She eats her lunch, which looks & smells delicious, with a good appetite. It is an older building but I think it has a good atmosphere. Mum can go to the dining room or the lounge but prefers to stay in her room. I'm happy that she is safe, seemingly happy and very well looked after.
Sister was discharged to this facility by the hospital, working with adult social care. One of the staff of the discharge team showed the website, saying the room had private facilities and stated food was hotel quality, my sister was excited to go after waiting eight months for a discharge to assess place. The staff at the facility were really very nice kind and caring however my sister only remained at the facility for three hours as the room organised was unsuitable with no private facilities, an alternative was offered for a top-up cost of £751 but the toilet was currently out of order and needed a plumbers attention, a commode was offered but due to mobility issues and medical conditions this was not an option. The facility is in a poor state of decoration, as are the rooms and furnishings. There are locked doors due to the dementia patients restricting free access to areas. Check this facility's rooms before accepting a placement the website pictures are misleading.
Caroline House is a wonderful home! Very friendly staff team and a calming environment. The activities keep everyone engaged, this really feels like a home away from home for my friend, I wouldn't change a thing.
My mum has been at Caroline House for 8 weeks having to move care home due to a change in personal circumstances suffering from dementia. The move was very upsetting for Mum, however in the short time Mum has been at Caroline House Mum has settled in extremely well thanks to the care and support of all the wonderful staff. The move has been made so much easier for Mum and our family knowing Mum is happy, settled and well cared for. For this to happen so quickly in such a short time is thanks to everyone at Caroline House, in making our mum and our family so welcome. A massive thank you to you all.
Caroline House is a very friendly home and if ever there is something I wish to discuss, there is always someone there to talk to. I go there to visit my mother, but it is always nice to be able to have a chat to all the lovely staff, manager, carers, activities ladies etc. There is a great atmosphere. My mother is very happy there, she says she couldn't be looked after better, and loves being waited on. She eats well, as there is such a good choice of food, all in all it is a very good rest home.
As mum has only been here for a couple of months we find it very friendly and the staff are very caring. The food is very good and seems to be plentiful.
