View Full Details of Bryher Court Nursing HomeThe standard of care my step father received was of a very high standard. The care, compassion and dignity given was amazing! Staff were so caring and we were always contacted when we had questions regarding my step father's health & wellbeing. We felt so supported as a family. Room was always clean and bed linen was always clean & fresh! The facilities within the nursing home were brilliant but unfortunately we didn't get to use. Special attention was given around birthday & anniversary's, this was so appreciated as we knew as a family they would possibly be the last! Seeing the fireworks from my stepfather's room was very special and won't be forgotten.. Food & drink was very good and there was no problem changing afew things so my stepfather could enjoy the tastes of foods he enjoyed. We felt very safe that we could leave my stepfather in your hands when we couldn't be there. Just keep doing what you're all doing, would I recommend, YES! Thankyou .. Thankyou
I would like thank all the staff at Bryher Court Nursing Home for their patience support and compassion in caring for my mum and our family during my mum's last days before her passing. The staff are amazing and we cannot thank them enough on the care that they give on a day to day basis.
Thank you for looking after my mother for the last six weeks. Amazing, friendly staff, we were very impressed with the level of care she received. She felt safe and comfortable during her stay. Thank you, keep up the good work.
I and the family are very pleased with the care given to my sister at Bryher Court Nursing Home. The staff are endlessly patient with her and she seems to be very happy there, having been a resident for three and a half years. She couldn't be better looked after and we are so grateful for the kind treatment that my sister receives at Bryher Court. (She is unfortunately unable to partake in any activities hence the 'don't know' rating).
My mother was moved under a free 'discharge to assess' scheme from hospital. She spent seven and a half weeks in a second-floor room with a high window she could not look out from - so could only see the sky. The lift was next to her room and it made the floor shake. She kept asking about all the doors that were banging (fire exit doors for staff to go between floors). She was very frail and unable to take part in any activities. Thankfully, her daily carers and the nurses did their best to raise her spirits. I decided to move her nearer to family where she had a ground-floor room with a view. She is still immobile but can now be put into a wheelchair and recliner! Her general interest has now returned. Thanks to staff at Bryher Court Nursing Home.
Treated my dad with respect and kindness for his end-of-life care. My dad was kept clean, and the room was always spotless. I got a great feeling from all of the staff that I met whilst he was being cared for, and can't thank them enough for their kindness in his last few weeks of life. Would recommend this care home without hesitation.
Mum is a stroke victim, paralyzed down one side. The care at Bryher Court is excellent and appropriate. The staff are extremely caring, thoughtful, and compassionate. Mum is often moved to tears of gratefulness for their care when discussing how she is looked after. Facilities and property are old and constructed accordingly, but are always clean, hygienic, and appear well maintained. Food is exemplary and we often eat lunch with Mum in a family and homely atmosphere, and always made to feel very welcome during our visits. The atmosphere is such that we now consider many of the staff and residents our friends.
My mum has been at Bryher Court for four months now and is very happy and settled in her new surroundings. My mum came here from hospital with a grade three pressure sore which has now virtually healed. That's due to the dedication of the staff. They are excellent, very approachable, kind and caring. I can't praise the whole team enough. Thank you all.
My brother (who is dyslexic) tells me that all the staff at Bryher Court Nursing Home are wonderful - very kind and attentive. Even as a shy, insular person he was made to feel at ease. He was pleased to be able to stay in his room as he is not used to socialising. He appreciated the food choices and having freshly cooked food, a treat after his frozen convenience meals at home.
My brother has been a resident at Bryher Court for five months now, and he's settled very well into his new surroundings. All of the staff are fantastic, very people-focused and approachable, and seem genuinely happy in their roles. The environment is a friendly one, a cheerful one, and the interactions between staff and residents are plentiful and caring. My brother has improved both physically and mentally during his time at Bryher Court, and he enjoys his daily chats and interactions with the staff. As visitors, we're always welcomed and made to feel at home; we've been really pleased with our experience so far.
My aunt stayed here for six weeks between hospital and a permanent residential care home. She was looked after very well by the friendly caring staff. As she was not so well she wasn’t able to take part in many activities although was taken out for a pub lunch which she really enjoyed. I would recommend this for nursing care.
My father stayed here for about five weeks and was treated and looked after very well by all staff. Nothing was too much trouble, and I was informed of any changes and concerns about my father. I would highly recommend it.

All members of staff have treated my mother and me in a very compassionate and sensitive way under the saddest of circumstances. Although the home looks dated and a little tatty in places, the care as patients appears very good. Staff are kind, attentive and always willing to engage with visitors. Patients are clean, tidy and treated with warmth and respect. The food is excellent. The nurses are always ready to answer questions and take care to support relatives in difficult times.

Bryher Court is a very welcoming care home. The staff care a great deal and many are longstanding. The rooms are spacious, light and airy. The communal lounge and large conservatory are used for activities. The garden has been a great pleasure for my mum and a place to meet other residents and enjoy joining in. Definitely recommend.
The staff was very helpful and kept me informed of everything that was going on. Didn't matter when I turn up, my dad was always clean and tidy. The food looked lovely and Dad enjoyed his meals.
