My mother was very reluctant about losing her own home and after many months discussion she agreed to have a weeks holiday or respite care at Oakland Court. Within two weeks, she asked if she could move in permanently. We were thankful the staff were able to accommodate this gradual change into
making Oakland Court her permanent home. Within a few weeks she commented that "a weight had been lifted off her shoulders".
The last few months have not been easy for my mother with emergency trips to the hospital, but the staff at Oakland Court have showed their strength ensuring the correct medical help was on hand and putting in a regular health monitoring check, firstly every 30 minutes and gradually moving that back to the normal monitoring.
My mother enjoys the activities and community of Oakland Court. Well done and big thank you to all the staff who are always professional, but also have a huge smile on their face and are full of empathy. Visitors welcomed at any time.

After my father passed away last year, Mum struggled at home on her own. Since moving to Oakland Court, Mum has made friends and is never lonely. There is always something going on and others to chat with. The staff at Oakland Court are wonderful. They are kind caring, respectful and always lift
Mum with compassion, understanding and even humour if she is down - they get her smiling very quickly! They treat the residents like their own family members and for that I am truly grateful. Oakland Court is now home to Mum and we could not wish for anywhere better.

The staff at Oakland Court were absolutely amazing when we made the decision to move my Grandma into a home.
Everyone has been extremely welcoming and made the change for my Grandma as gentle as possible.
All the staff are kind and caring. They are always cheerful and happy to help.
We
couldn't have asked for a better home for my Grandma to be in.

My Auntie has been very happily living at Oakland Court for more than 3 years now, she has always been well looked after, in good spirits and complimentary about all the staff who help her in any way needed.
My own perception as a regular visitor, is that Oakland Court provides a very safe,
comfortable and clean environment in which the staff work really hard to make sure that Auntie very well supported and feels at home.

Mum had a fall on October 5th 2025, she had a pin in her hip and a stroke the next day. She was transferred to a stroke ward in the hospital. About 6 weeks later transferred to another hospital for rehab. After another 6/7 weeks she had made a remarkable recovery. We wanted her to gain more
confidence in going home, so she had 4 weeks at the care home which did give her confidence. We were very pleased with everything at the care home and would recommend it.

Oakland Court was my Mother's home for almost three years, until she passed away last month. I will be forever grateful to everyone there, as together, they provided a safe, happy, homely, loving place for Mum, adapting her care to her changing needs. Every member of staff was always kind, friendly,
respectful and caring towards my Mum. I was a frequent visitor and they have been a great support to me too, especially during her last few weeks. A sincere thank you to you all. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Oakland Court.

I stayed at Oakland Court for 3 weeks for respite care after serious bowel operation. Without fail all the staff were courteous, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent. I would recommend it to anyone.

Staff are very kind and caring, nothing is too much trouble. They are very thoughtful too. Food is excellent, with personal tastes and preferences always taken into consideration. High standards of cleanliness, with cleaning personnel also being so kind and friendly. Management are very
approachable, so helpful. There's a lot of fun and laughter in this home. The entertainment has been amazing, singers, dancers, magicians and so much more, they all love it. Only the best for my mum- which is why I chose Oakland.

My cousin entered Oakland Court on 12th March 2024. She is in her early 90's. She has diabetes type one and has short term memory loss. Oakland Court have been excellent in caring for her in every way. Her dietery needs are catered for. She walks on her own, weather permitting, and on Mondays plays
Bridge at her club. Her sugar levels are checked three times a day and every two hours during the night. From 18th December 2025 it became necessary for a district nurse to attend twice a day to administer injections and check levels.

Our mother has lived at Oakland Court since 2019. She does lots of things which keep her entertained and her health has improved in this last year. We can only put this down to the great care, attention and compassion which all the staff give her.
Our whole family are very happy to see our Mum
happy and contented.

My father was in Oakland Court for a couple of years. He was always well looked after and all his needs were met with courtesy and care. During his final few weeks all the staff were very attentive to his specific needs, making sure he was always comfortable and at ease. I'm very grateful he was in
Oakland Court at this time, and wish to thank everyone wholeheartedly who cared for him.

Having just visited my Mother again at Oakland Court residential care home I found it has maintained it's excellent standards. The Christmas Party on 11th December was a joy, all staff were, as usual, fully involved and ensured that the event was enjoyed by all.
On each of our visits to our Mother
we find her happy, comfortable and always being treated with care, compassion and respect. The home is always spotlessly clean and tidy and the staff always welcoming.
PS The food is 1st class!

I attended the Christmas party today for the 1st time and it was excellent! The food was plentiful and delicious and the staff were very helpful and attentive. My mum has been at Oakland Court for approximately 5 years and has always been treated respectfully and with dignity. Nothing is ever too
much trouble. Keep it up guys!xx

Mum's been with you for six months now and we cannot thank you enough. She is safe, content, and well cared for. It really is a very happy and well-run home, where the carers provide an excellent level of care and attention.
Mum's room is lovely, and it has helped being able to make it her own. She
reports that the food is excellent. Relatives and friends are always made to feel so welcome, and we really appreciate this. The location, right by the seafront, is wonderful, and we love being able to take mum for walks along the prom, especially when the sun shines.
The activities are wonderful and varied, and mum has benefited hugely from the stimulation. There's always music and craft and, crucially, laughter. Most importantly, there's company, and mum has made special friends here - 'her gang', as she called them today at the amazing Christmas party. We are very pleased that we chose Oakland Court for mum's home. Thank you!

Lovely caring and friendly staff at Oakland Court. Never too busy to discuss any worries, and thoughtful about solutions to any issues. Great activities and I'm told the new chef is a great hit! My Mum was here for nearly six months and I was in and out often so could see how it was run. I would

Oakland Court have been looking after our mother for 7 years now, we are very happy with the care and looking after all her needs, staff always courteous, friendly and caring.
The summer party was beautifully organised and splendid buffet, as always, my mother enjoyed all the activities! Big thank

Our Mother has been at Oakland Court for 7 years and we are very happy that she is in such a lovely home. It has a lovely homely atmosphere. Great selection of entertainment/activities every week which is enjoyed by the residents. A very big thank you to the staff who look after everyone so well.

Oakland Court is a safe and caring home with lovely staff who go the extra mile for their residents. The food is very good and there is daily entertainment to keep all happy and involved. Highly recommended.

I am very satisfied with the care my mother receives, the staff are friendly and attentive to her every need. The chef is very good at supplying nutritious food to the residents. the home is clean and well cared for.
The entertainment at the Care Home is very good and they try to entertain the
residents with something every day.
