View Full Details of Green Pastures Christian Nursing HomeMy aunt's care is exceptional, I could not have picked a better nursing home. All her needs are attended to in a professional way. Every single member of staff is polite and friendly and always willing to spend a few minutes to answer any questions I may have.
We used Green Pastures to provide respite care for my mother following discharge from A&E as she was in a suitable condition to return home without care support in place. Green Pastures were able to take Mum into respite the day she was discharged. The Admin team were extremely helpful, as was the Care team on arrival. The support through the transition into, and subsequently out, returning home was exemplary. Mum heaped praise upon the whole team, particularly the care staff, complimenting them their attitude describing them as loving.
My mother has been at Green Pastures for over 18 months now and has blossomed in mental and physical health ever since arrival. A transformation. She is happy and without worries; happy to tell me that; and surrounded by professional, caring and smiling staff and friends.
My mum has been a resident at Green Pastures for just over 2 years. She has been looked after extremely well and it is obvious that the staff care and keep me informed at all times of her health and any additional needs she has. I visit her several times weekly and whilst her memory is such that she doesn't have recollection of my visit after I have left the staff always re-assure her that I have been and that I care! There are lots of activities and trips arranged by the activities team and I often see the photos/videos which were taken, it is clear that mum was enjoying herself. I thanks everyone at Green Pastures for what they do!
I contacted Green Pastures and three hours later they had been to assess my father and he was a respite resident at the care home! One staff member in particular was super efficient and delt with our urgent need compassionately, with understanding and swiftly. My father was well cared for and all his needs were met. The outstanding thing about Green Pastures compared to other care homes is the staff they have. All of the staff no matter their role seemed to know my father by name and truely care for him. His stay, at this point, was only for 2 weeks but Green Pastures is high on our list should he need to become a permanent resident.
I have been a resident of Green Pastures since Nov 2024, my late wife was a resident in 2018, my experience therefore, has been very favourable. My physical infirmity certainly required 'in house' treatment and this has been very good. I feel my life has taken on a new dimension and the daily activities and care has enabled me to feel part of a definite community. I have particularly enjoyed the 'in house' activities, particularly the musical entertainment. The food has been good, but it would be good to have some input into the types of food. The garden is a real bonus, and the Garden Group is very enjoyable, as is the Life History Group. Church activities are mainly of an Evangelist Christian variety, whilst I am an Anglican (Liberal Catholic) and so not always to my taste - but I find the chaplains very supportive.
My brother was transferred to Green Pastures from hospital in Staffordshire, where he had been for 10 months and had developed complex additional needs. From the outset, staff at Green Pastures demonstrated an understanding of the trauma he had experienced and took time to connect with him. They did everything to make him comfortable and feel cared for. We both received a really warm and genuine welcome. My brother began to improve immediately and began attempts at communication, after months of total disengagement. I was able to bring treasured possessions into the room which further prompted his attempts to speak. It was fantastic to visit and see him clean shaven and dressed in one of his favourite t shirts. Staff took time to find out more about him and I knew that they had really listened when I visited and found him listening to his music or found him in the lounge with other residents. Such level of care and dedication is so valuable to both of us. Thank you.
Green Pastures is a lovely, bright environment both inside and out. The staff are all friendly and helpful and take good care of the residents. There is a good variety of activities and entertainment and prayer and Christian services, and groups, which means a lot to us and Mum. Thank you.
Green pastures is a community. Residents, friends and family are made to feel very welcome and seen. Care and communication for and about my aunt have been superb. She is in safe hands and talks about the kindness of her carers.
Lovely clean space with super friendly staff. No request was too much for the staff either and I loved how they all were with the residents. Those residents alongside my relative were treated with nothing but dignity and respect that I saw. Absolutely fabulous care home.
Wonderful staff so caring and kind, could not ask for better. lovely family atmosphere. Good food. Good activities. Excellent nursing care. compassionate and shows empathy. Good relationship with family as well as residents. Makes you feel part of the home. When my mum died I felt looked after as well as my dad. I hope my dad will continue to stay and receive the care and love he deserves.
Mum has dementia, she is always treated with the upmost respect, if things aren't the way mum wants or likes them, the staff will do there upmost to change things for mum to her liking ,whether this be from doing something or food and drink. There spontaneous entertainment when it's not on the timetable is lovely, I'm often sitting there and many of the staff at different times even when there busy(which is always) just burst into song and dance, which the residents love. The residents are always treatment with the upmost respect whatever their needs maybe
We are very happy with the decision to place mum here, the staff are beyond compare. The compassion shown knows no bounds and mum is very happy here. We feel like part of the family and the commitment of all concerned is faultless.
The care my dad has received whilst being at green pastures is second to none, the home is clean and well looked after. Lots of social activities everyday for the residents. All staff are polite, professional and so friendly.
Mum has been cared for at Green Pastures since the end of September 2024. It is also where my dad lived in the last years of his life. There is a wonderful spiritual experience when you visit Green pastures: it is full of peace. The surroundings reflect this in many ways as well as all the staff. Mum is cared for with great love and dignity. In December our family went to visit mum just before Christmas. As a family, we were able to eat a meal together and share presents. This was a wonderful thing and my heartfelt thanks go to the staff who made this happen.
My mother has now been a resident at Green Pastures Nursing Home for over 3 years and my older sister for over two years. The loving and professional care shown all areas has been exceptional, well above any other I have ever visited.
My Dad was a resident of Green Pastures for over 12 months until his recent passing. With dementia and mobility problems the care he received was excellent. The care/nursing staff provided loving care always with a smile. At a time when I needed respite care for my dad this Home was welcoming and quick to respond me, sending Anna to our home to assess dad promptly. The Home is extremely clean and inviting. Laundry, catering and activities teams also provide an excellent service. I also felt that office staff worked efficiently to solve any problems. I always felt comfortable leaving dad in the Nursing Homes care which at a very difficult time was important.
My father was a resident at Green Pasture Nursing Home for nearly 9 Years, sadly he passed way in January 2025. I cannot thank all the staff at Green Pasture enough for all the care, dedication and support they offered both myself and my Dad over the years. They really are all exceptional. My dad had Alzheimers so sometimes he could be challenging. He absolutely loved it here, he loved the people and the activities and days out, he really came out of himself so much more with people around him. We sang, we placed instruments, games. He went on trips. Not only do they care for the person medically and physically but also and so importantly through their wellbeing too. They take the time and trouble to get to know the residents and their families to understand the person. I will never be able to thank them enough for their dedication and how they looked after my Dad. I highly recommend Green Pastures Christian Nursing Home.
Green Pastures is run extremely efficiently as I can see, the staff and I mean all the staff, are really welcoming and so professional, nothing is too much trouble, and whatever asked your questions/requests are answered immediately. The guests rooms are spotless and warm, nothing escapes the staffs vigilance, The building is very striking from the outside, excellently maintained and the car park is very clean and spacious, with a state of art cycle security cage, this alone gives a feeling of safety and attention to detail. In my experience at this point you know that there will be no short cuts as to the rest of the Green Pastures experience. Once past the security airlock you are genuinely welcomed, and experience an exceptionaly well chosen decor that could shame many hotels. Tea, Coffee, cakes, biscuits, are offered to the visitors. You do find yourself wondering when was the last time you visited somewhere, excluding private functions etc, and felt as though you are valued.
If a company that makes beer Made Care Homes ... Green Pastures cared for my mother when she was suffering from Alzheimers. Now my 88- year-old father is no longer able to look after himself and has decided to go into the home himself. The staff in the home are the main attraction. Without exception they are cheerful, friendly polite and caring. Sometimes it can be a bit depressing to visit a care home, but at Green Pastures the staff immediately make you feel like they are happy to be there. It's spotless and well run. Everyone at the home is exceptionally caring. The staff member who runs the activities is a ray of sunshine. The staff member on reception couldn't be a more helpful and kind person. And one of the nurses is careful to keep my family up to date. One staff member in particular is also very helpful and clear when explaining how the home works. It's a difficult time when an elderly person is choosing a care home, but we had no hesitation about Dad going to Green Pastures. Happy to talk to anyone wanting to know more.
