View Full Details of St Catherine's Care HomeI am very happy.
I visit a friend and am happy to know she is safe and well looked after. The staff are very welcoming and pleasant.
Some of the staff are v caring and helpful but this isn't consistent across the board. At times the main lounge only has one or even no staff present. The grey rom where you can visit the residents is ideal when there's a few family members wanting to visit. I've noticed positive changes in numbers of staff, smartness of staff and cleanliness etc since harbour took over.
Mum has only been here about 3 weeks + seems settled + looked after. The staff are all lovely with all the residents there seems to be plenty of activities.
My mother's time at St Catherine's was sadly limited but during the time before she passed was excellent mainly driven by the professionalism, empathy and genuine care shown by staff. I have to spotlight Janet who demonstrated the attributes of an angel when my mother passed. Her honesty, sensitivity and genuine empathy made the worst moments possible. All staff made us feel welcomed, and provided assurance that my mother was being cared for in her final days with dignity and respect. Thank you.
Since my mum was admitted at the beginning of June 2025, the staff has been compassionate and caring, friendly but still professional. They provide exceptional care under very challenging conditions and do manage my mum well. I am happy that mum is being looked after and well cared for and more importantly that she is safe.
We as a family not had any issues with the home or carers. They look after him very well and he has settled very well. We would really like to see him going out at some stage in the mini bus.
St Catherines is a lovely facility for mum to live. Staff have got to know her personality and needs, meaning a bespoke service to meet her requirements. Nothing is too much trouble for the nurses/care staff. SC is very hospitable to visitors which is important to her family and friends. The communal day room is a nice space to visit and see other residents/visitors.
A positive experience. Caring staff who provide a brilliant service to the residents (activities, outings, celebrating key events e.g., Easter, st Georges Day, Fathers Day etc) The home is bright and provides a very pleasant atmosphere. Food is varied and of a good standard.
My uncle is very fortunate that you have such an excellent, caring staff.
My mum has been resident here for nearly a year. I can honestly say that I could not wish for her to be in any other care home. She is treated with respect and dignity and I feel that the staff genuinely feel affection for her. They understand and anticipate her needs when she cannot express them. A homely and caring environment.
St Catherine's Care Home provided excellent care for my mum since she moved in. Earlier in the year, they looked after her and her family up to the end with professionalism, dignity and understanding. We would recommend to others. Thank you very much.
Staff amazing and make the home fantastic.
The staff are fabulous and so caring and hardworking. They are very welcoming to visitors and extremely helpful. I would recommend St Catherine's to anyone looking for a care home setting for their loved one. The staff liaise well with the family, keeping us informed and we have lots of input into how best to help Mum and feel listened to and considered in her care.
My sister and I have been happy with the care my father has been given and the interaction from staff with my father has been wonderful. We can see my father is comfortable and seems content.
My mother-in-law has been a resident for 14 months. The family are extremely pleased with the care she is receiving. The activities they do with the residents are second to none. We couldn't ask for better care. Well done everyone!
Mum was admitted to St Catherine's for palliative care as we knew she didn't have a lot of time left. Nevertheless, the staff were very caring and welcoming from day one. Everyone showed such care and compassion for Mum and they were very supportive towards the family. It was so reassuring to know Mum was safe and cared for and the staff would call us right away if Mum's condition changed. We were welcome to visit as much and whenever we wanted. When Mum passed the staff could not have been any kinder. So very grateful for everything.
I am happy with everything St Catherine's does for Mum.
Very happy, no complaints. Thank you St Catherine's Care Home.
The home is very clean and I like my room. The activities are brilliant, I like the two staff members on activities, I have a fun time and I'm always laughing with them. I enjoy helping them to.
