I live in Birchwood House care home, have been there about 2 months, it is a very nice place to live in. Its a joy to sit and look out the windows that overlooks the gardens when the sun is out its a pleasure to look at all the flowers in the garden.

I have been visiting my friend at this wonderful care home for some time now and i have nothing but praise for the wonderful staff. The home is clean and welcoming a friendly face always answers the door. My friend is so happy there and says the care they receive is second to none. Thank you to all
the staff for everything they do.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care my mother has received at this care home. From the very beginning, the staff have shown genuine kindness, patience, and respect, making what could have been a difficult transition feel reassuring and positive for our whole family.
The team go above and beyond
to ensure that residents feel comfortable, safe, and valued. My mother is always treated with dignity, and it's clear that the staff take the time to get to know each resident personally - their preferences, routines, and what makes them happy.
The home itself is always clean, warm, and welcoming, with a lovely atmosphere that truly feels like a community rather than just a facility. Communication with family members is excellent, and we are always kept informed and reassured about my mother's wellbeing.
It gives me great peace of mind knowing she is in such caring and capable hands. I would wholeheartedly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a compassionate place for a loved one.

My mother has lived at Birchwood for over four and a half years and our experience has been very positive. Her needs have been met at all times and she has made invaluable relationships with carers who have supported her emotionally and made her feel at home. My mother is a solitary soul and the
staff have respected her individual preferences. They have allowed her to express her autonomy and be herself. She loves the food. I have witnessed the plates offered which looked very appetising. The location is beautiful and the structure of the house works well for activities downstairs and peace upstairs. I have seen other residents enjoying a range of activities. There's no one size fits all here. I have no hesitation recommending Birchwood House and daily give thanks for the kind approach and professionalism offered.

Mum has been in the care of Birchwood for nearly 4 years now. She receives excellent care by all the staff. We are kept informed of any event, or changes that may happen. The residents have lots of entertainment which keeps them both mentally and physically stimulated. All the staff are caring and
considerate, and in my opinion mum couldn't be better cared for.

My mum was very anxious about going into a care home, but Clare and the team have done a wonderful job making her feel at home and getting her involved in activities. It's so nice to see her engaging with other people her age instead of sitting at home with her carer waiting for visitors.

Without doubt it's the quality of the staff and management that makes Birchwood such an excellent care home. Being an older building creates its own management difficulties certainly, but it also adds personality and warmth and makes it more of a real home for the residents. We are extremely pleased
with the care and attention that our mother continues to receive and have no regrets at our choice of care home. Thank you Birchwood!

Birchwood House is a lovely caring community and it really feels like a large family rather than a care home. We have got to know many of the staff and without exception they have been kind, helpful and have responded to all our queries. Our relative is perfectly at home in his new environment.
The
building is old and well maintained but there are some limitations in its functionality due to it's structure - for example the lift is old and very small and this can cause difficulties with wheelchairs, trolleys and mobility aids, however, although not ideal, the staff manage to circumnavigate these adequately.
The grounds are lovely and residents often spot deer and other wildlife venturing in. It would be good if they could spend a little more time outside in the fresh air, weather permitting.
Birchwood House is a unique jewel tucked away in the heart of the Kent Countryside and, with it's caring staff and positive attitude, has proved to be the ideal 'family' setting for our brother.

This is an excellent care home where the residents are treated with warmth and respect by all the staff team at the home. The care home has a friendly, homely and welcoming atmosphere. It is very reassuring that our family member is in a safe environment where if any issue occurs we know that the
problem will be dealt with in a speedy professional manner. Well done.

My mum is a resident at Birchwood House Care Home and we couldn't be more grateful for the care she receives. Moving a loved one into care is never easy, but the team made the transition smooth and reassuring. Mum is treated with dignity, kindness and genuine compassion every day.

you to Suzi, Sharon, Tori and Natalie. Their patience, warmth and professionalism truly stand out. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they always take the time to listen and make Mum feel comfortable and valued.
The home is clean, welcoming and has a lovely atmosphere. Communication with our family is excellent, giving us real peace of mind. We are so thankful to the whole team for the dedication and care they show every day.

We could not have found a better place for my mother to spend her final years. The staff were excellent, kind, considerate and totally professional. The way the staff handled the final days of my mother's life were exemplary. We will be forever grateful.

Mum was in home for 12-13 weeks. The staff were brilliant, fantastic caring very open with us, Mum was very stubborn but staff dealt fantastic with it, very patient with her. Treated her with dignity & respect make her laugh. Mum didnt want to be there but the staff make her fill welcome and
encouraged her. We have no regrets in putting Mum in Birchwood a very good run home and as above caring proffesional staff from top to bottom. a big thank you.

My grandmother was a resident of Birchwood house for over 3 years, we call them her Birchwood family. They were so much more than carers and looked after her with compassion, kindness and humour. She was able to join in with activities and if she didn't feel like going downstairs the carers would
regularly come up to her room and keep her company. She passed away in the early hours of the morning, a carer sat with her so she was not alone. Our family would not hesitate to recommend Birchwood to anyone.

I cannot thank Birchwood enough for the care, kindness, compassion and dignity they gave my Nan during her three years with them. Throughout her time there she was properly cared for and built fantastic relationships with the staff. We never had to worry about Nan's welfare, as the home were always
one step ahead in making sure she was ok. As a family, we were always welcome to visit anytime day or night, and this gave us great comfort, especially during the final few weeks of Nan's time there. We will always be grateful for the care Nan was given. Each and every member of staff is worth their weight in gold!

The staff are excellent and very caring.
All of the team there go above and beyond to create a fun, safe and secure environment. My mother has recently moved into Birchwood and every effort was made to make her transition smooth and stress free.
All of the staff have done everything they can to
help my mother settle in.
The facilities are excellent and the home is exceptionally well run. This gives both my sister and I peace of mind that my mother is not just being well looked after but is also being treated with dignity and respect.

The staff looked after my mother so well during a difficult time, until she passed away. We were always greeted so warmly on visits and the Christmas party was excellent! I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to place there relative in a care home.

I cannot speak more highly of this care home. The staff put all they can into the job. Always welcoming, with open arms and hearts. The young lady that takes care of keeping the residents entertained is vibrant and imaginative, and puts great energy into the programme. This is a home I would really
like to live in, when my time comes. I love them all.

I know mum really enjoys the laughs she has with the staff, ive also had a couple of meals with mum and i must say the food is excellent!
