Dad moved to Deer Park in March following a short period of respite there. He has settled really well. The staff have all been very friendly and welcoming both to him and to us when we visit. They seem to really know the residents. Dad has received excellent care and really eats well - a great
indication considering his appetite had been waning when he was at home. It is a lovely environment - Dad particularly likes the conservatory! Activities appear to be great. Shortly after Dad's arrival it was his 80th birthday. We had a small family party in one of the rooms at Deer Park and were provided with lovely food and a fantastic cake! Dad has a lovely, large, light room and seems to enjoy spending time there.

Christine was looked after with compassion during the 4 months she resided at Deer Park. She had many medical needs during this time and they were dealt with competently. I was regularly contacted, particularly after she had some falls. During her final days we were kept up to date with her
condition and she was kept as comfortable as possible during that time. Thanks to all staff for your care and compassion.

My 99 year old Mum was the first resident to arrive at Deer Park when it recently reopened. As the only resident she was treated like royalty and as more and more residents arrive she continues to receive the same wonderful care and, when required, nursing. From the very beginning when Mum was being
considered for discharge from North Devon Hospital I was constantly contacting Sue, the manager at DP, to see if they were ready to take new residents. The responses were always prompt and very reassuring and thankfully we got a call to say that DP were ready to welcome her.
It's a worrying time for family but the whole team whether it be Sue or Nic (admin) or any of the nursing or care team have removed almost all of those concerns as we know she is safe, warm and extremely well cared for. One other aspect worthy of mention is the food. The quality and variety of meals offered is exceptional, it all just adds to the knowledge that my Mum couldn't be in a better place.
